Most of my international and a few of my USA cards went in the mail today. I sincerely hope the international ones arrive before year’s end! Sorry I’m so slow. Hoping to get the rest out this weekend. I’ve received some wonderful Christmas and Hanukkah cards so far ... thanks so much, my pea friends.

I am LOVING the cards I have received so far - thank you! All of them are delightful to open, look at, hang up and to enjoy.
I also 'show them off' to visitors who comment on the number of cards!

My cards have all been mailed - I sent the international cards last week and the last of the US cards yesterday. I ended up sending all store bought cards as life got in the way and I knew I'd never finish the home made cards in time. Hopefully I can get them finished in time for next year's swap!
I'm loving all of the cards I've received. They're a bright spot in an otherwise crappy holiday season!

I have really enjoyed receiving all of the cards. It certainly makes the sucky ass year a little brighter. But I think my DH is enjoying it just as much. “Hey! We got one from AUSTRALIA!!!!”

Hello! I finally got the US cards out in the mail today (Int'l went out before Thanksgiving)!! I made myself stay up Saturday night until they were done. I had been putting all the cards I received in a pile and now allowing myself to open them until I was done with all my cards. So at 11pm Saturday night, here I am, opening all these wonderful cards! I was so happy. And I have another pile I grabbed out of the mailbox today (I don't get my mail everyday - usually just a couple of days a week from the locking mailbox I have).

Holy moley! I finally got all the cards shipped out...later than I wanted (I have had a thumb injury on my writing hand for the last 3 weeks and has slowed me down some!) but nonetheless all are in the PO's hands. International may arrive after the holiday, not sure how long it takes, but given the slowness of the mail that comes to me, I have packages that I ordered back on Thanksgiving that still have not arrived, I am not holding my breath for a holiday delivery! LOL I saw upthread that others said the list was 56 names, I only had 55 on mine (including my own), I really enjoyed sending cards out to the peas, I sent to EVERYONE on the list. It certainly made me smile. Have not checked our PO Box since Thanksgiving, LOL, so I cannot wait to see if I received any cards---I am going to go pick up any mail on Monday.

DH mailed all of my cards yesterday. Yay! I had to get packages in the mail to family back in the States first, so the cards had to wait. I finished them over the weekend and addressed them all Sunday and Monday and they were mailed yesterday. Based on our mail, I'm guessing you all will get them right at Christmas. It was fun to make them and I hope you like my design (many of you will recognize it!)
I'm curious to see how long it takes the international cards to make it. I had planned for DH to mail them via the Belgian postal system, but the guy at the USPS office assured DH that it would be faster to mail them via APO (the military postal system.) He also said that Australia was on the way to the US (from Belgium), so I don't have a lot of hope there. But who knows!
Merry Christmas, everyone! For those of you who are still working on cards, don't sweat it. The 12 days of Christmas don't start until December 25--that means you have until January 5 and they still count as Christmas cards!

Opening the cards has been a bright spot for me this month. I admire all your work. I even learned that a Yeti was something beyond a container that keeps things cold.

When your immobile for a while, it's amazing what you mind comes up with via the boredom. After I designed it and my 20 year old DS laughed, got into it and was willing to help put it together (he ran and picked up the elf legs and was my legs running back an forth to printer. oh, and he mailed them for me too) I knew that it was not just easily amused me that might get a kick out of them. Actually one of my favorite cards I've ever made despite the obvious simplicity. cuz I enjoy stupid funny. Glad to say my ankle is much better and am able to get around much better and my shoulder is getting there, too. Halleluiah! Happy Holidays, my pea peeps!

One of my favorite cards from all the years I've been doing the pea Christmas cards. Aww, thank you. It just goes to show you I should go with what comes naturally- the sarcastic smart ass in me, and quit the overthinking and harder work of crafting cards like in the past.

First of all, thank you for the envelopes of holiday joy! I haven't opened any yet - I'm saving them for Christmas Eve/Christmas Day.
Next, my cards are finally all postal. I mailed the international early December and sent my first batch of domestic ones soon after. I was congratulating myself on being so prompt and then I slipped on the ice, tweaking my back and reaggravating my sciatica. For over a week I was unable to sit and craft. Needless to say, I got behind. So for the recipients of the last 11 cards that I just mailed, I'm sorry your merry messages will likely be late. I'll try to do better next year.
