I finished the challenge without officially joining. Oops. Last thing I bought was 2 digital stamps from Studio Calico in December when they had their $1 sale. I bought nothing in January and February.
I worked on finishing a photobook for a trip I took in 2019. It is 6x8 and mostly collages and journaling. It is not traditional scrapbooking. It is memory keeping and good enough for me. I did 53 pages and had it printed this week.
I used templates and 1 digital stamp. It definitely makes me wonder why I bought so much stuff if I'm not using it. I think it would be better to buy as I need it. Buying lots on sale and not using it is silly.
My reward spending was the price of the book times 3 and 2 digital stamp sets from Kellie Stamps (on sale so clearly I haven't learnt yet). I haven’t decided on my next goal. Working on organizing my photos.

Well, I am back from my CA situation (moved my mom and her DH into assisted living) and soooo glad to be home. Now that I am back, I want to crack through the next 17 LO and finish my challenge!

I hope it all went smoothly. I've still got 18 layouts to go until I reach my goal but I'm already thinking about setting a new target and just continuing to not shop.

I’m at 33/50, but I made some purchases this month. Even with that, I’m still spending more of my time scrapping (even though I’m slow) than browsing online shops, and being more mindful of the purchases I am making. So that’s progress. I’d love to hit 50 by the end of this month....Maybe April can be another no-spend month leading up to iNSD.

I finished up a LO this am that has been on my desk for a week, so now at 16 to go. Chinagirl828 , I think you are right, I may just continue with this type of challenge! I find myself using more and more of my stuff and as I do that, I am wanting to shop less. I didn't feel good about my order when I caved, but I've done well since then. I plan on participating in the March weekend next weekend, and won't be buying for that, so I think I should be wrapping up my 50 page challenge and starting a new one.

I have 34 more pages to go...I don't feel great about that, but I can't go any faster, it's just life. I kinda' want to shop but truly don't need anything except replacement cardstock and I will allow myself that. I have the beginning of 36 (!) cards on my scrappy desk, and hope to start on those today. I also have photos and papers ready for 3 layouts, 5 pages total. So hopefully within a couple of weeks, I will be in the low 20s! That will feel much more manageable. I agree, the longer I go without shopping, the less I want to, and I am truly finding I really want to shop just when I'm bored! So I just go find something to do. Lord knows I still have a lot of scrappy purchases I haven't had a chance to crack into yet! So I still have "new" things to play with. Le sigh!

I really wanted to by the SS collection Shimelle is using in her 2021 album and after searching out the pieces I want I convinced myself that if I still really want it once I finish my 50 layouts I can buy it. This morning the desire to own it is a little less so I'm hopeful that by the time I finish the last 15 layouts I'll be over the idea.
As I was looking through my 3x4 journaling cards last night I realised they are no longer stacked firmly to the top of the drawer I store them in, which is great motivation to keep using things up.

Hi all!😁
After participating in the To Immunity And Beyond crop weekend, I finished 13 more layouts. I think that puts me at 17 layouts toward my second 50 layouts goal.
This past week I bought 3 packs of cardstock and one snowflake paper punch. No regrets. I have lots of snow pics and I was out of supplies for scrapping them. And I was down to only white cardstock, so I grabbed up some kraft and a multicolor pack.

I finished!! Wow...that was fun (??) It was an interesting experiment for sure. I observed a couple things-first, I tend to online scrapbook shop when I am stressy, or need a "break". Not great...not a great way to spend my money. I'd rather proactively shop for things I love (looking at you NJFB January Kit!) than buy them as a reaction to being stressed. The other thing I noticed is that it forced me to dig into the things I have and confront the fact that some of the things I was hoarding/saving I actually didn't really like that much anymore. Someone else said that too, recently. That they wanted to use the supplies they loved while they still loved them. So I ended up using a lot of my "really good stuff" that all of a sudden when brought to the light didn't look especially great anymore. As an example I bought a very expensive BoBunny kit circa maybe 2010 and when I bought it I LOVED it and used it so sparingly. Now I think it is just ok. So I used it up! (Mama-Razzi) Anyway, I thought this was really fun, and I am planning on starting another one, as soon as I clean up the MASSIVE mess that last weekends crop created, lol...

(I still have Mam-Razzi unopened ☺️) I love that you’ve learned some things about your buying approach (and using the good stuff)! I’ve been procrasticleaning my scrap and office area instead of really scrapping the past few weeks, so I still have some to go before reaching 50. But, it needed to be done and I’m unearthing some things I really want and need to work on next after my JYC is finished (like getting some older photos out of shoeboxes and at least into pocket pages until I can scrap them - some are degrading and turning orange☹️).

I'm still plugging along, down to 11 layouts (on my first round, I feel like such a slacker!). One thing I've really noticed over my last few pages, is how few embellishments I seem to be reaching for these days, instead I've been doing plenty of fussy cutting and using patterned papers and branding strips. I think I need to search out some great embellishment heavy layouts to lift if I hope to make a dent in my supplies. Just used the snowflake punch I bought on four layouts! Sounds like this was a great purchase!

I got to 9 pages and then this morning I bought stuff. After printing all my holiday photos and putting them into empty page protectors in the album during the crop I realised they really needed to be split into another album and this weekend one of the Aussie stores is doing a sale with a decent discount on the WRMK albums I want. And some of the new pinkfresh embellishments jumped into my cart. I'm really proud of what I've achieved so far this year, and it's certainly helped me avoid frivolous spending. Even before hitting the buy button this morning I went through each item carefully to make sure I would use enough of it, and removed several things that would have mostly become more pretty stuff in my stash. So I'm going to start again at 50 layouts, and hope to keep this more mindful approach to shopping.

I am frustrated. Far from my goal. Frustrated. I have plenty of other things I want to spend my money on, but in my head, I was going to be done with this by NSD, and that is obviously not going to happen. :/

I have 17 pages left to go, unfortunately my crafting space has been packed up for the past 3 weeks. To make myself feel better I've been shopping 😳 it makes me feel like I'm still scrapbooking in some way! Once I'm back in my space I'll try and finish up my challenge, I'm not going to beat myself up over it, but I'm freezing my spending for a while now.

I have plenty of other things I want to spend my money on, but in my head, I was going to be done with this by NSD, and that is obviously not going to happen. :/ That's a bummer, but life happens...and sometimes our hobbies get shoved to the side. I feel your frustration! Is there anyway for you to carve out a bit of time just to work on one page? (If not I totally understand) Sometimes it helps me to say, ok, I am going to work on this one thing...I did complete my 50 page challenge, but my 2nd isn't going well at all. Two pages in and I have already shopped twice. Grrrr... I'm glad you are not beating yourself up, I did a little over my 49th and Market purchase and it kind of sucked. Even now I don't feel especially interested in using that paper because I was so mad at myself for shopping. So I put it all away, probably to be discovered in a few years, lol. Well, I treated myself to the NJFB kit when I was done with my 50 pages, however I've now shopped twice since that and am only 2 pages in on my 2nd 50. I ended up ordering some stuff from my LSS and then my JA put out the new AC Designer Destinations and it was an extra 25% off with curbside p/u, so I did that today. Yikes, back in the freezer I go!

It's been a horrible day here weather wise, perfect for scrapping. I've had to work around the cat but I've managed to finish another two pages today. I'm really happy to be using up some older stuff. Today's wins included stuff from Sassafrass, BG, Cosmo Cricket, Elle's Studio, and old rounded corner SC 3x4 cards.

Ok, I really need to join again. I had an April birthday and the money has been spent. I don't feel guilty because it was from my mom and in-laws 😁 I did take a lot of time to figure what I would use a lot.

I finally did it!!! 50/50 (round 1)! I fell off the low-spend wagon after January, but still pleased to have completed 50 pages and am more mindful about the purchases I did make.
Now to jump in for round 2, and be more serious about sticking to my low-spend. Should hopefully be easier with iNSD behind me. 😁 I at least want to make it through the end of June.
