The hotel surveillance video is next level. Twitter thinks they have identified her.
It makes me see red that she is not plastered all of the internet and TV. She attacked a 14 year old boy. She is the ultimate depiction of white privilege that needs to be revoked.
She deserves to be cancelled forever. Choices have consequences and she needs to get hers.

I think as a whole generation, the younger ones are less racist. But there's always going to be individuals who are racist. But as a whole, I think our society is making progress.

In her panic, she showed her true colors, her actual bias. She may even be like many 22 year olds with social media posts all about racism and BLM, etc but has yet to acknowledge her own implicit bias.
Though, if that were the case, she would have outed herself and apologized. She has not.

I saw this on the father's twitter yesterday - his footage not the hotel. I was struck by how out of control this woman was over a cell phone. I mean the father pointed out the obvious point that there are more than one cell phone in the world. The hotel guy really screwed up in my opinion. He was trying to "reason" with her and it just fed the insanity imo. I mean she literally attacked him and he was with his father??!!?

Why hasn’t she been identified? What do you mean “retaliation for an unrelated event”?

I think the cancel culture is just temporary. I say this as a woman who devoted a good bit of time trying to keep a racist man canceled and he went on to join the United States armed forces 🤷🏾♀️I’ll post the thread below. O and ignore Elaine-Wohlgemuth Shilling trying to discredit my detective work she totally doesn’t have it out for me 🤣🤣😉 and neither does papercraftadvocate 😜 We also have highly identifiable photos of white women carrying a casket with a black doll inside meant to scare Ruby Bridges. Those women are still alive and being a nana right now. No one remembers. No one cares to track down who those women could be but they’ll be QUICK to scream well not everyone in Arkansas are horrible racists. Umm prove it. If you are a 14 yr old black kid tackled in a hotel lobby you won’t forget what happened to you but most everyone else will. Hell most people only will feign concern and will be waiting for the next Karen to be caught on tape. I know I sound pessimistic AF but how long. I mean really? Old thread: 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/64426/crime-charges-sean-urbanski?page=22peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/85746/honoring-african-american-veterans

Why hasn’t she been identified? What do you mean “retaliation for an unrelated event”? You’d have to ask the young lady what she meant. CNN declined to name the woman citing her fear of retaliation from some event other than the one where she traumatizes this kid.

I saw it. Disgusting. I'm also surprised about CNN protecting her identity. How horrific for the 14 year old and his dad.

I think as a whole generation, the younger ones are less racist. But there's always going to be individuals who are racist. But as a whole, I think our society is making progress. When you mean less racist I imagine a sliding scale where the most racist human protested a black child entering a school with a casket and at the very end of the scale lies what? Who is least racist? What does that look like? How does it impact the Black people they encounter? Please view my comment as a discussion and not an attack on you. Or me selectively reading the words you’ve typed 😜I say this not knowing our history since I’ve begun bringing up racial issues though I recognize your name.

If you want to keep a low profile and blend into the crowd so you will not be identified and located for possible retribution, you should not draw attention to yourself by attacking strangers in a public hotel lobby. Just saying. If it wasn't worth keeping a low profile to her, why should we care? And her phone must contain the nastiest photos and videos our minds can conjure. Like who goes that irrational over a phone. When she told the manager “he literally needed to get her phone back” she really meant it 😳and he responded just how white men have in the past. This time a kid didn’t die. Probably because his dad was a famous jazz musician

Since they aren't identifying her, it makes me wonder who her high profile privileged parents are.

Didn't she leave her phone in an Uber? If so, Uber has her info.

I have faith that the online community will out her eventually. Shame on CNN --they have identified others (such as the lady in the park).
What absolute jerks we have in our society.

We must continually call out these racist, hateful attacks. We have to. Just because things are somewhat better now,* doesn't mean they are good.
This woman needs to be identified. There is no excuse for her behavior.
*Somewhat better: People recognize and are disgusted with this behavior. Sadly, it doesn't mean the behavior isn't happening.

I saw this a couple of days ago, and am still so disappointed in her, and how the hotel staff handled it. I think the manager was "just trying to make it go away" by asking the kid to show his phone, but it was a bad decision on his part. Had it been a white, blonde haired teen I think the response from the manager would have been completely different.
I believe that eventually her identity will be revealed either by the media or an acquaintance...girl needs to be outed in big way. Full stop.

But what does identifying her do outside of provide momentary embarrassment and shunning until society moves on to another Karen incident. Mind you each incident is a human being. Often times several. Dad describes his instrument As his ticket out of Ferguson and now he has to witness his son harmed. His notoriety only helping after the fact. The momentum of these temporary public shamings never yield a society by which Black people are truly free. George Floyd anyone? Not one post about police shootings here since. That should bother you. It should move you to action. This shouldn’t be acceptable. The audacity of white people will drive you insane if you allow it to. And it’s really a testament to the character of Black people that we aren’t all out flipping our shit in your neighborhoods. If that happens please remember the years leading up to the event when Olan screamed hey guys please move your bodies in the direction of actionable change.

She should definitely be outed because it was an awful thing to do, and she should be charged.
And I'm guessing she was freaking out so badly because she has things on her phone that she doesn't want other people seeing.

These words, from the manager to the woman, would have solved the issue: "Call your phone." Put it all back on her.
She deserves everything that can be thrown her way. What an absolutely disgusting reaction to one's own irresponsible behavior. I'm heartbroken for the 14 year old. He'll carry this for the rest of his life.

I saw an interview with his parents. They said to all those who say why didn't you just show the phone, where does it stop? Should they have to show it's their car? Their wallet?
It has to stop. I am sure she would not have asked me, a 62 year old white woman, to prove I was holding my own phone.

If someone came up to me accused me of stealing their phone and demanded I show it to them, I would tell them to back off or I’d call the police.

And if she left without being arrested, does that mean she was at the hotel when she got her phone back? I would have LOVED to seen her face when the uber driver handed it over....
