The word is that her death benefits will be denied to her family because she committed treason. Wow. Just wow. Grown people not thinking about consequences for their actions. Unreal.

This is absolutely amazing!
I’ve also heard she had a criminal history. I wonder what her discharge papers say...

She was also from San Diego. What the hell was she doing in DC during covid times? A Trump rally is not essential travel.
I’m sorry for her family but I feel no sympathy for her.

I read an article that also said that she was a "spokesperson" for QAnon

They interviewed her husband on the local news last night. We’ll probably hear a lot more about her since she was a local. Someone posted that she was murdered because she was unarmed. Ummm...they forgot the part where she was trying to break-in.

I agree. I feel sorry for her family. I wonder when she served? Why didn't she think about her family before she committed treason?

The Air Force said Thursday that Babbitt, who formerly went by Ashli Elizabeth McEntee, was on active duty from 2004 to 2008, most recently at Dyes Air Force Base near Abilene, Texas. She was also member of the Air Force Reserve from 2008 to 2010 and the Air National Guard from 2010 to 2016.

I agree. I feel sorry for her family. I wonder when she served? Why didn't she think about her family before she committed treason? This won't be a popular response but when you go into the military you don't think for yourself, you follow orders. That is inviting for some who lack the capacity to think for themselves. Then she was also a QAnon "follower". It's pretty clear, in life, she is a follower who lacks critical thinking skills and needs people to tell her what to do and how to think. I'm not saying everyone who goes into he military are stupid so don't put those words in my mouth.

Play traitorous games, win traitors’ prizes. There are a lot of insurrectionists that are going to be surprised by the consequences of their actions in the next few days.

Actions have consequences I think this is a lesson that needs to be relearned in our society, especially after four years of watching a president say and do whatever the hell he wants, without consequence.

Ummm...they forgot the part where she was trying to break-in. I mean it is not like she was just out jogging or in the privacy of her own home.... oh wait I forgot that is only justification if you are a person of color. Silly me.

She followed and forcefully entered the Capitol. Doesn’t matter who she was following. She did not try to stop them or question them. She was one of them (rioters).

My own parents and some others I know on social media have been parroting these same excuses. They seem to believe anything Trump or his supporters tells them. My mother has been going on about Creepy Joe and how awful he is. She says Trump was robbed of the election. She said she heard all about it on Fox News and Newsmax. SMH

Ah yes, someone on facebook explained it. You can pick out the Antifa members from the crowd because they are wearing their MAGA hats backwards. She was one of several people I unfollowed.

She broke a window and was crawling through it. I'd have shot her too.

She broke a window and was crawling through it. I'd have shot her too. On Good Morning America this morning, the idiot republican congressman who was on, said he was behind the man who shot the terrorist. He said the cop/secret service person had no choice but to shoot. There were congress men and women behind that door, which had been breached, who had to be protected. I have to believe the man who shot her was just upholding his oath to protect our elected leaders. There were also police behind the terrorists who didn't seem to be de-escalating the situation. Here is video of it. DO NOT CLICK ON IT IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE HER BEING SHOT.

"This is a sickening crime that should be prosecuted as such." I'm one of those 'violence is never the answer' kind of people. It is unfortunate that circumstances were such that the officer felt he needed to shoot, but I do not question his decision for one moment. His job was to defend the building and the people inside, and that is what he was doing.
If you don't want to get shot while (breaking into property unlawfully, threatening the lives of others, committing treason, or whatever crimes apply here), then don't do it. I am sorry for her family that she is dead, and that she felt the need to take actions that needlessly put her life in danger, but that was her choice. It does not appear to me that the officer made the wrong decision, nor that he committed any crime.

Good. Actions have consequences I agree 100%. I hope they follow through on this. These are the consequences for her actions. What about the other 3? The other three who died? They were medical emergencies - one had a heart attack, one accidentally tased himself and I haven't heard reports of the third but it was reported that they were all medical issues.
