Apparently they plan on appealing the decision the process be public. Which brings up the question of what are they hiding?

Maybe its just me but I thought when an audit is done it’s to check the accuracy of what is being audited. Which would mean being accurate in checking would be the #1 priority.
Guess not.

Apparently they plan on appealing the decision the process be public. Which brings up the question of what are they hiding? Too late, they have had their secret hands on the ballots too long already. They walked in with blue pens and why was that? Blue and black are what voters are told to use.... Surely they should have used red, but another 'judge' is allowing them use green pens!!

Looks like Newmax is trying to get out from under some of the lawsuits.. Newsmax issued a public apology to a Dominion Voting Systems employee on Friday after airing false allegations against the worker involving the 2020 presidential election. The conservative network said in a statement posted to its website that it found "no evidence" backing up claims that employee Eric Coomer had manipulated voting machines or votes as previously alleged. “On behalf of Newsmax, we would like to apologize for any harm that our reporting of the allegations against Dr. Coomer may have caused to Dr. Coomer and his family,” Newsmax said in the statement. The statement was posted on the network's website at 3:30 p.m. ET. A Newsmax host also read the apology on the air, The Associated Press reported. A spokesperson for Dominion declined to comment to The Hill. Newsmax also did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The AP reported that Coomer, Dominion’s director of product strategy and security, has subsequently dropped Newsmax from a defamation lawsuit after the network apologized. Coomer had filed the suit against Newsmax last December and also named One America News Network, OANN correspondent Chanel Rion, former President Trump’s then-personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, as well as attorney and Trump defender Sidney Powell, among others, as defendants. Newsmax’s coverage of conspiracy theories forced Coomer into hiding, his suit claimed. In the complaint, Coomer said he was targeted with death threats and harassment and suffered “untold damage to his reputation as a national expert on voting systems." ** “There are several facts our viewers and readers should be aware of...” the network wrote at the time. “No evidence has been offered that Dominion or Smartmatic used software or reprogrammed software that manipulated votes in the 2020 election.” Separately, Dominion Voting Company has filed a $1.6 billion defamation suit against Fox News, a $1.3 billion suit against Powell and a $1.3 billion defamation suit against MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a vocal supporter of Trump. thehill.com/homenews/media/551283-newsmax-apologizes-to-dominion-voting-systems-employee

Well now, more info on the counters in Arizona!!! BUSTED: Capitol insurrectionist is counting ballots at controversial Arizona election auditBob Brigham April 30, 2021 An Arizona Republican who traveled to Washington, D.C. for the January 6th insurrection is now counting ballots at the controversial Arizona audit. Former Arizona state Rep. Anthony Kern posted a photo of the insurrection by supporters of Donald Trump seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 election. ** On Friday, 12 News reporter Brahm Resnik spotted Kern counting ballots at the audit. (If you click on the ink for the article you can see the 'head shots' can be seen next to each other roughly the same size, easier to compare) ALSO "Democratic members of the Arizona House and Senate are asking for an investigation into four lawmakers who may have been involved in the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. The letter asks for a joint DOJ-FBI investigation into Congressmen Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs, as well as state Rep. Mark Finchem and former Rep. Anthony Kern, for their involvement in the riot," 12 News reported one week after the attack on the Capitol. "The social media posts of Finchem and Kern strongly suggest that they were at the riot and actively encouraged the mob, the letter said. One of the organizers of the riot, Ali Alexander, reportedly claimed that he planned and organized the insurrection with Gosar and Biggs." ** www.rawstory.com/arizona-audit-rep-anthony-kern/

Exempting the elderly and those in the military from their efforts to make voting harder.
How about that, aren’t they a bunch of real sweetheart to be concerned about making it harder for the elderly and those in the military to vote.

SO well said!! And so very true! Although I don't think the machines can read the Sharpies, but who cares, they would be read and reread manually anyway!

Maybe I’m just being a Debbie downer today but how the hell do we combat this. They still have a year and a half before the midterm elections. The Republican Party has drawn their line in the sand. They have decided trump and his hate is how they want to go.

Something serious has just happened in Georgia.... Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, has just announced that she will not run for a second term.(CNN)Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced late Thursday night that she will not run for reelection this year. "As (husband) Derek and I have given thoughtful prayer and consideration to the season now before us, it is with deep emotions that I hold my head high, and choose not to seek another term as Mayor," Bottoms wrote in a letter published online. "While I am not yet certain of what the future holds, I trust that my next season will continue to be one full of passion and purpose, guided by the belief that within each of us is the power and responsibility to make a positive difference in the lives of others," she wrote. Bottoms wrote that her decision was not based on an inability to fundraise, a belief that she wouldn't win again, or fear of competition in her bid for a second term as 60th mayor of Atlanta. www.cnn.com/2021/05/06/politics/keisha-lance-bottoms-atlanta-mayor-not-running-relection/index.html

This column by Peggy Noonan, Reagan’s speechwriter, is hidden behind a paywall, but is very interesting.
She doesn’t hold with Rs lying about.the election results, or with ousting Liz Cheney for telling the truth. She makes the point that they KNOW that Liz C is right, but they don’t want her saying it out loud. Now, for those of you too young to remember, Noonan has been a conservative stalwart for decades. It is to her great credit that she is writing this column, and she will get a lot of blowback for it. And if you have ever seen the movie All About Eve ( and it you haven’t, you are missing something truly special.), she compared Elise Stefanik to the Eve character in the movie. ☺️

This popped up while I was on my break....
Think about this this for a second. The Arizona GOP thought it would be a good idea to send people to your door to question you on who you voted for in the 2020 election. Intimidating much?

This another thing that popped up while I was on my break.
Some believe the voter laws, that also take aim at the officials who oversee the elections, will make it easier for the legislators to step in if they don’t like the outcome of the vote.
That combined with the real possibility the Republicans will take back the majority in the House. Which could mean that if a Democrat wins the presidency in 2024, the Republicans could actually do what trump wanted them to do in 2020.
Far fetched? At one time one would think so in the United States but so much is happening now that who knows.

How are people being prevented from voting by whether or not they get refreshments? sorry for my bluntness, but that is a STUPID question and tells me that you just don't put yourself in other's shoes to think about what could happen. If someone goes to vote, they may assume the line will be short and move quickly. Like they would expect from previous experience. But with less polling places (because they're taking some of them away, aren't they?) and/or a larger turnout like happened in 2020, the line may be HOURS longer than the person originally expected. Would YOU bring a drink or a snack with you just "in case" you had to wait for 6 hours in line to vote? I wouldn't. If I decided to vote on my lunch hour, expecting to get in and out, but found out I'd have to stay there for 4-6 hours or more, that would be a BIG deal... And it might be sunny / hotter than expected which would make a long wait uncomfortable without a drink. I get lightheaded and headaches if I don't eat. (not to mention I'd need to get back to work.) So a long line and a potential wait of HOURS, combined with lunchtime, afternoon, dinnertime, etc. could possibly discourage some voters from staying in that line, and might end up leaving. Which would mean they are not exercising their right to vote because of the conditions put into place by the more restrictive law. Why is that so difficult for some people to comprehend? (unless, like I said, you can't put yourself into other's shoes, or see past your own privilege.) When people leave because the lines are too long to wait in without food and drinks, then they come back with food and drinks of their own. No one is being prevented from voting because people are NOT idiots who can't figure this out.
