Any Catholic peas? Is this sacrilegious? Power went out, had one candle, and these were less than $2.00 at the grocery store. I was about to decorate the trees for summer. It's like a Catholic Memorial Day shrine or something.🤣😄 Anyway, this is going in the family album/project life style. Cradle Catholic and have been teaching third grade at a Catholic school for 18 years. I’d say the Blessed Mother is helping you during a time of crisis. She’s super awesome at that. 💜

I am thrilled with the PL progress I’ve made in the last week! I have finished October 2020 and gotten all the photos in place through current! All that editing, sizing, etc.! I hate that part the most, especially when doing catch up, and it’s finished!! * happy dance* 💃🏻 Now for choosing journal cards and pulling it together. The fun part! Huzzah! Feels so good! 🤗

So...I still haven’t done any additional pages in my 2017 album. An idea occurred to me though. Take the completed pages and put them all in a single album. Use the volume two album for 2021 June-December. Document the world returning to normal. I’m also considering whether I want to do it by week or month. It would mix things up a bit for me. I have enough PL supplies to last me at least five more years and I’d like to use it!
Has anyone done this? Any suggestions? Am I crazy to start another project for seven months?

I love your layouts jeremysgirl ! My photos are always a random mix of everything. This year I picked one collection (Simple Stories Hello Today) and am using it for all my spreads, along with a kit of supplies (old PL cards, papers, etc.) that I have pulled to coordinate. Using the coordinated supplies is helping me to feel like my pages look more cohesive, even with the mishmash of photos. I'm also embracing all sizes and orientations of page protectors and filler cards to help hide any gaps. I have finished through to the end of March in my album and have all my April photos printed, but I caved and ordered some stamp sets from Studio Calico that I want to use on my April spreads, so those are on hold pending delivery of that package. If I get some time I might map out which photos will go in pockets and which will get layouts. April was a busy month with tons of photos, so a bit out of the norm for me in a good way. Overall I am super happy with my album, and I think being very loose with my ideas of what each month should contain is helping me to just push forward and get it done. Do you put your layouts in the same album as your PL pages? For the most part, yes. If I took a big trip, that would probably warrant a special album, or special heritage photos might get put elsewhere, but for the most part anything that reasonably fits within the chronological scheme of my life, including special moments, just gets a page within the "PL" album.

I am SO EXCITED! I finally got my MacBook fixed after months of it sitting dead in a corner. This means I can get start back up with my PL layouts. I wasn't able to do any on my PC, because it only has 4 GB of RAM, so (1) it can only run the older 2018 version of Photoshop, and (2) the PL templates I am using are so big that I couldn't even open them, or if I did manage to open them, Photoshop would crash as soon as I tried to drag a photo or embellishment in.
I have a LOT of catching up to do!

I normally only care to scrap the happy things and truly don't care if my entire life is documented. January 2021 was A LOT , so it ended up being 8 pages, mostly political 😲

I'm so glad your Mac is working again. refugeepea - love the layouts! My husband wanted to know why I want to add all those things from Jan 2021 and I showed him how you did it and he thought people would think I was pro-orange man. I have yet to do anything, it's been a busy month so far, between shuttling my kid to soccer camp for 3 hours then my new to us car breaking down (thank goodness it happened before we went camping for a week and the dealership fixed it for free) then camping and now we're home. Now that my husband is back to the office 3-4 days a week I get to have some time in our home office! I'm excited to get stuff done finally.

I think the memes speak for themselves. I'm not good at journaling feelings. You can tell what side I fall on. I'm not finished with all the pages. I realized I need to add more inauguration photos. I want to include the poem that was given. I also want to include an article of what happened at the Capitol especially the harm done to police officers.

How's Project Life going for everyone? I spent some time this weekend and I finally made it to June! I also discovered yesterday that Just Jaimee @ The Lily Pad is the designer for the Coco Daisy kits. I'm sure not news to the peas, was just news to me, haha. I'm Hybrid so now I feel like I truly have the best of both worlds. That should seed up my June documenting since I purchased the digital version of the cards for my journaling. I really hope to get through June and July in the next few weeks.

I just wrapped but my weekly PL til July 18. Now I need to reorder photos. I've been using old SC for a while but had boughten a bunch of AE story kits when they were on sale. I was trying to use some of those kits up but was noticing some of the older ones don't lend themselves well to a weekly spread. Plus there were too many filler cards and not enough ones to journal on (or stamp) I did get through quite a bit but it was a stretch. Thinking of dropping my sub with her and switching to something else.

All caught up now...I'm surprised. I print out my photos weekly, but don't put the spreads together until the end of the month so I can coordinate embellishments and journaling cards, so I'm good now until the end of this month.
What I should do is use this time to fill in the 5 months I have left from 2020....

I have my pocket pages caught up except for last week and one week in early Aug. The facing 12x12 pages are a bit further behind, but not terribly so, and I'm hoping sketchtember will have some sketches I can use to make some more progress on those.

Thinking of dropping my sub with her and switching to something else. I will disclaimer this by saying I'm on the creative team and that I love using the story kits in my project life. If you find yourself not having enough journal cards in those kits, I would suggest cutting up the patterned cards and using them as a patterned strip on the top or bottom of a 3x4 white cardstock. Some of the filler cards can be cut up to use in a similar way. But, I do understand how they make you stretch a bit more to get them to work... if you're looking for something more geared towards project life have you tried AE's SBTM sub? That one is definitely designed with project life in mind and I find it so easy to use.

I am usually really caught up with this project so I'm surprised that I am only done through May. I do skip around weeks, though, so I have a few documented in June, July and August. I only have 3 spreads left to finish my first 12x12 of the year (January - June)
I'm hoping to sit down soon and work my way through it... we've just been SO busy lately I haven't had much time to craft! I also know I'm going to struggle with some of the more recent weeks... they were just so busy it's a lot to fit into one spread! It will feel really good when I can finish that first album, share a flip through video, and then put it out on the living room shelf.

I think it was more some of the older story kits. The newer ones seem to have more journalling space. I mix them in with my regular 12x12 layouts also so its all good.

I had grand plans to work on this but alas, I haven't gotten through January 2021. In my defense, I am one of the hosts in the Sketchtember challenge here so I've been working on traditional 12x12 layouts. Don't ask what I was doing prior to September 1. LOL

I am almost always only one month behind but right now I haven’t started July or August (and maybe even June). This summer has been busy. I hope in the next week or so things will slow down and I’ll be home to craft a bit. I have 7 hours on a plane this evening so I am going to start sorting photos and editing photos so I can print and be ready to start when I get home.

I haven’t touched PL since November 2020. I will absolutely catch it up. I haven’t taken many photos, and just have not had anything really happening, so catching up won’t be too dreadful. I am hopeful for a more exciting summer this year (vaxes are underway! Life is slowly resuming!) so, I’m looking forward to renewing my love for this project as things normalize. There was just so much groundhogs day I could document. I kept at it for 9 months (March to Oct/Nov 2020), but then I just fizzled out. I am quoting myself! That ^^ was April 22. My current status: 98% up to date! I have two weeks of 2021 I need to go back to add journaling to be complete, and I discovered a couple 2020 weeks that have empty journaling cards, too. I’ll be tying up these little loose ends and be victorious!

What I should do is use this time to fill in the 5 months I have left from 2020.... I feel this so much! I opened my second 2020 album over the weekend and it's way, way less complete than I thought. I got to maybe mid-August. I had printed some photos and journaling for a few more weeks but it's in a pitiful state. I used an 8.5x11 album last year and I wasn't loving that size. Looking at it now, I'm tempted to start the second half of the year in a bigger album but I'll likely just push through. Super impressive! Great job!

I'm impressed! Somehow I missed buying about 7 months worth of photos from 2014-2015. I got that figured out over Labor Day weekend and they are ordered.
It's a bit of a mess right now. I have January 2021 - April 2021 photos printed. Most of those months are done. I know some of 2017-December 2020 photos all need to be ordered too. Clearly I lack organization skills.

I have done up to July, which is pretty good for me. I am currently working on August but as I haven't received my AE SBTM kit yet I am lacking in motivation. Still, I have been working on a fun summer traveler's notebook which will be placed as an insert in my album. August was a busy month with two trips to document so it will take me a bit longer to finish than other months.

What is your process for getting the newspapers? Are they screenshots or an app? I don't know why I deleted it, but I put it back on and I'm pretty sure it's the app called Today's Front Pages. It's good if you live in an area with a huge population or it's a national event. It's not great for my state (Utah). There's only one paper included that's in Southern Utah. Which is kind of weird because Salt Lake City area is the biggest.
There's a map where you can zoom in and go to the country you want. Or you can click on the U.S. or world icons and they are alphabetized.
I click on a newspaper and do a screen shot. All the photos I printed from this app are 3x4 size. I use PhotoSheet. It's a free program where you drag and drop a photo onto a 4x6 size to get the 2, 3x4 sizes. I am tech challenged, so I'm sure you may not need this information. Anyway, my point being, I don't know what it looks like at a 4x6 size.
There is a save option, but I can't figure it out! If you do, let me know.
ETA: I use the Amazon Photos App and the photos from my phone are automatically uploaded to that website.
