MARIBETHR, are you enjoying your 4 days at home? I hope you got to do some scrafty stuff and are just enjoying being home. Are you through RVing for the summer? You made so many cute journaling pages last month. I love all your adorable paper dolls. How are your temperatures right now? We have cooled off to low 90's. I have had a wonderful 4 days of and I have been scrafting away. In fact here are my four +1 completed layouts for the Pokey Peas Challenge. I wanted to do some courthouse this month. Plus I had a 12 hour card making event from 2:30pm Friday afternoon until 2:30am Saturday morning with Stamplistic. We made 12 cards which I will post in the Eddie and Eddie-m-Harley group, and all the projects I worked on this weekend will be in the June sharing thread. We have been fortunate and have been having rain every day for nearly a week. That has not been the norm here in recent years. When I moved here in the late 80's it was typical to get an afternoon shower most everyday in the summer, but for last 10 or so use that has not been our weather pattern. We are very dry and this rain has been wonderful. The temps have not been bad here, but with all the rain we have been very humid which is unusual, but we are not complaining we need this moisture. Well, off to get ready for work, only 4 days this week YAY, and hubby will be leaving Friday for a weekend trip to Lubbock to see his children, grand and great grands so I should have another good scrafty weekend coming up as well. Random quote of the day Listen to your own voice, your own soul, too many people listen to the noise of the world, instead of themselves.

nylene- I don't usually watch fireworks - DH usually takes the girls. But he wasn't feeling well and DS had wanted to go to fireworks so I went with him and the girls. It was nice but I was glad we found a spot outside the fairgrounds away from the traffic and crowds. MARIBETHR - I love your courthouse project! DH is at work today after last week and Monday off. DS is taking DD14 on an outing (bowling and maybe lunch or ice cream) today - he took DD21 out yesterday. I'm going to be doing storm prep - cleaning the house, catching up on laundry, baking some goodies, picking up in the yard, storing water...all the fun stuff as Elsa is likely to visit overnight into tomorrow. She's only a tropical storm so we're just expecting more rain (4-6" probably, more possibly) and some wind but nothing major. We're inland (as far as one can be in Florida) so that helps minimise impacts. Might be able to get some more scrapping done today -I have a two-page layout on my desk just waiting on journalling - but tomorrow will be an at home day with no real plans so...

Thanks for checking in, Linda. Stay safe. I was thinking of you when hearing about Elsa's path. I have always liked the name Elsa: why would they give a storm such a pretty name? Good to hear about all the fun you have been having, MARIBETHR. I need to do some homework prep for the on line class justjac and I are enrolled in for Saturday. Hearing about all the rain, even in the desert, I am wishing someone would send some our way. Our garden is bone dry and the fields are starting to suffer. Dh and his nephew are getting the hay harvested early, but that the yield is nothing like it has been in the past. Weather has been really weird. A few days ago it was 38C (about 100F) and low humidity. This morning it is 10C (about 50F) and the air feels damp. Still no rain. I may put a couple of pages together today if I can find the elusive paper I am *sure* I own. Seems like it was jumping out and waving at me whenever I was looking for something else, but now it is nowhere to be found...

Happy Tuesday! We didn't do much over the weekend but glad to see our city residents out doing their fireworks like normal. My dh and I did go shopping on the fourth at JCP and that was our fun! LOL! We also went to my favorite local park twice and that is always good medicine and fun for me. nylene - Thanks for your visit and I am glad you like my video. Yes, I love sharing good deals with you all. LOL! joyfulnana - Oh, I am so glad you just have a cold. Sending you some tea and well wishes. Take care of you, girl! maribeth - I remember your courthouse project! So neat! Boy, you had fun with that card class. Glad to see you back with us! linda - I guess it is tropical storm season. I hope it won't be too bad in your area. Glad to see your family getting out and enjoying themselves. grammadee - So dry in your area so hopefully some rain will show up. How is the rest of your garden?

MARIBETHR, I don't think anyone has signed up to host a crop this weekend, but they probably will by Friday. I need to get Em over to show me how to do it so I can take my turn. I really enjoy them. It's nice to see you working on the courthouses again. I am always amazed at the details on some of the buildings. kellyr21, I love your new avatar. I'm glad you and Ron had a nice weekend and got to go to the park for a while. Will they have concerts again or is it still too locked down due to Covid? Linda, you are really cranking out the pages this month. That is wonderful! I am glad you are inland and hope that you will not have damage due to Elsa. I'm sure your plants are drowning! I wish grammadee and I could have your extra water. We are so very dry. They say "brown" is the new "green" and that's what we are seeing in our lawn and those around us. It's hard for DH to see his lawn burning up since his profession has been growing beautiful grass on Golf Courses. It is 100 degrees again today with no rain in sight. I really need to wash my car. That should start the rain! LOL

Happy Thursday! Well, our park concerts are back nylene! We went to the first one last night and it felt so fun. It was military night so a Marine band performed. There were lots of people there enjoying the festivities. I got some pictures and will scrap about it. Also, I have ordered some fun new craft supplies. One thing I got is a new JN doll stamp called Kelly. Of course, I had to get her. LOL! My art class is tonight and I am looking forward to it. The instructor is very calm and chill and that helps us all feel relaxed. There are usually about 20 or so that join the class weekly and some of them are really good. Waving hi to you all and have a good day!

I always like the way kellyr21 "waves hi" - it gives me a smile, makes me feel connected! So "waving hi!" to all the Pokeys! Nothing special happening here. I should be good to scrap Saturday night gramma, except I'll be late (again) because we've booked all 3 kids in for their 2nd vaccine at 5:30 (huge push here for 2nd vaccinations, we're over 45% double vaxxed but they want to get it higher so the region added a huge arena style clinic this weekend - they're hoping to get 20,000 people through in 2 days). DD's foot is feeling better this week because she isn't dancing on it. She's going back to dance next week tho, as she has so much to prepare/stay prepared for this summer, so it will be a real test. Unfortunately, she does not have a high pain tolerance, and I'm really afraid this will kill the dance plans this summer. If it were my oldest DS, he would probably not even notice he had a stress fracture!!! We finally got some rain today, which is good for the garden/lawn but killed our tennis plans We haven't played this week at all because of the heat/humidity. Speaking of "pain tolerance"... I'm a "weather wuss" - too hot, too cold, fuhgetaboutit

kellyr21, I would love to have been at a military outdoor concert with you. I love military bands! I'm glad you are able to have the concerts start up again. I will be anxious to see what you do with your new "Kelly". I hope you have a great time at your art class tonight! kitbop, I'm glad to hear that Katie is not overusing her foot. I hope it is healed enough that she can prepare for anything upcoming. I want you to know that I am a weather wuss too. I hate winter cold, but I am sometimes even colder sitting in a doctor's air conditioned office in the summer. I keep a jacket in the car all the time. I hope some of you will be on with gramma on Sat. MARIBETHR, did you see that she is setting one up? I need to run. Wishing you all a great evening!

Happy Friday! It is HOT today! Whew! So just staying cool and crafting today. I cleaned up more of my craft area and it feels good. My art class was fun last night. Think I will stick with it for a while. Here is a card I made last week and I really like making these envelopes now. My Friend Card & Envelope by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr nylene- I wish you could of been there at the concert, too. So relaxing and patriotic! kitbop- I am glad my "hello waves" make you smile. Hope you and your family take it easy this weekend with their shots and all.

Good Friday evening, Pokeys! It is hot here, too, kellyr21 . Pulled weeds for a couple of hours this morning. Dd & family moved their holiday trailer from one lake to another today. They stopped in here for lunch on the way, and then I kept dgs while Mom & Dad headed out to get set up. We hung out here for awhile, and then we made a detour to the splash park in town on our way out to the campsite. When we arrived, they were still getting settled, so dgs and I walked down to the lake. He jumped right in and dunked. Wish I had worn my bathing suit: think I might have joined him! Just got back home a little bit ago. Have make a couple more kits, joyfulnana . When I took my vehicle in for a service on Wednesday, they didn't have the recall parts in, so I just waited at the dealership until the oil change and tire rotation was completed. Thursday they called to say they now have the parts in stock. So I will be going back next week (on the 15th) for the day. Putting together kits to take with me to scrap the day away while they work on it. Tomorrow justjac is coming over so we can do an on line class together. I paid for it b/c I really wanted the kit. The class is on fb which I don't have, but when she is here, we can both watch. There was alot of homework to do ahead of time. I got my cutting done, but not the inking. Thinking it will be a different look that I will be okay with. Not sure about the virtual crop, gramma and nylene and MARIBETHR . The heat may have knocked me out by then, so don't know if I would be scrapping, but it would be fun to visit with you ladies for a bit. Okay, I need to do a few things around here before I fall into my bed.

grammadee - you've been busy - don't over do it in that heat! I hope you and justjac are having a wonderful time crafting together today. kellyr21 - such a fun cheerful card and envelope! And that concert sounded lovely kitbop - glad she's on the mend and that your kids are getting their vaccines! Big news here is that our garage is finally finished! Dh did a good job picking colours that are super close to the colours of our brickwork on the house so it really looks nice and coordinated. Hoping to scrap a bit more tonight - I think we're doing a trailer load of tools from the old shed to the new garage this afternoon and then DS is grilling a London Broil for dinner and we're playing another game tonight - last night we tried out his new Apollo game ( buffalogames.com/apollo/ ). Tonight I think is either Ticket to Ride: London or his new Pan Am game ( www.target.com/p/pan-am-board-game/-/A-79396299 ). We've played so many games while he was here - chess, Risk, Axis and Allies, Trivial Pursuit, Clue.... I have a puzzle we were going to do also but I'm not sure we'll get to it. I might just pull it out tomorrow morning and set it up on the kitchen table and see if anyone joins me.

I hope you ladies had fun yesterday justjac and grammadee! It must be so nice to have a scrappy friend. I've had 2 through the years, but both have stopped scrapping - altho I do think there is hope for them yet Another problem I have is that my scrappy space became less hospitable in the past year. Due to the new cat. With colitis. = stinky litter box, which is in my space! It would be embarrassing to take them down, even tho the space itself is actually nicer The plan this morning was for tennis - but the rain looks like it's going to unload any second, so we shall see.

It was a fun scrappy weekend! Great spending time with justjac in person and with the others who joined into the virtual crops. Finished two double pagers, and a few journal pages. Didn't shoot my Silhouette--or gramma--but that's another story... We were hoping for rain, but although neighbours as close as ten miles away got half an inch or more last night, we got only a few drops and some wind. The only consolation is the temps dropped about 10C (18F) since yesterday, so a little relief from the heat.

awesome photos justjac and grammadee - glad you had a fun scrappy time together! Sorry you didn't get rain grammadee but I'm glad that the temperatures have dropped some. DS29 left this morning - we've had a lovely visit and I'm going to miss him. He'll probably be back in Dec or January for about a week and will move DD21 (she's moving in with him). Unfortunately it rained for almost the entirety of his visit - today is nice and sunny - so we didn't get to do as many outings as we had hoped. We did lots of games and even a puzzle instead. Hoping to get some scrapping done today or more likely tomorrow - I'm tired....DH and I stayed up WAY too late last night working on the puzzle and then we were up early to help load DS up and say goodbye. DH took a nap before going in to work after lunch but I haven't had one...yawn

kellyr21 , your card is so pretty. I love the shape of that envelope and flap too. You enabled me and I ordered your Amazon die from your last card! How hot is it in your area? We were 103 yesterday and at 9 pm last night it was still uncomfortably warm. We had a meeting and the air conditioning didn't work. We thought going outside would cool us, but no such luck. We were glad to get back into our air conditioning. Our son had his sub contractors install it years ago when he first started building homes. We are often the recipients of his knowledge and generosity regarding our home. grammadee and justjac , you are so lucky to have each other as scrappy partners. It sounded like you were having a lot of fun together. Hope the "slumber party" was great. grammadee , I love all those jar cards you have made. That's such a versatile die set. kitbop , it was great seeing you at the online crop. I'm glad your family got their 2nd shots. Hopefully lots of people will get vaccinated so your area can open up more. I love your doggy page. I will get over to the gallery and look more closely. Em was given several good sized boxes of stamps and we went through them together. I doubt if I have used more than 5 or 6 in the past 5 years and need to get them out of my scraproom. I am going to be ruthless and pull out what I know I won't use. Then Em can see if there are any others she wants. We will offer what's left to the Card Club members. I just need more room under my table for things I actually use! ETA: grammadee , did those clouds bring you any rain? Oops, I see they didn't.

Linda, I'm glad you are out of the storm now. What a fun time you have had with DS at home. Ticket to Ride is a family favorite game around here. I will have to check out some of those you mentioned. It's wonderful that you had all that time together, even if it rains each day. I know you will all miss him and will soon miss DD also.

Happy Monday! Hope you all are doing well today! I went to Ms on Saturday and enjoyed walking around in the cool air conditioned store. I picked up a few things. I ordered a few more things from Scrapbook.com and A Cherry On Top. I have an idea to make some card kits that I can use for craft parties so I am getting a few more supplies for that. linda- Oh I am so glad you and your family had fun with your ds. What a special time it was and I know you created some fun memories. nylene- You got the die set!!! I know you will have fun with it like I am. Thanks for the praise on my card. I do love how it turned out. Yes, it has been hot but not as hot as your area. I hoe your meeting places ac works next time. I am glad you have ac and a son that can help you if needed. Stay cool! grammadee- What fun you and justjac had!!!

A slight edit to grammadee's experience: Didn't shoot my Silhouette--or gramma--but that's only because I live in Canada and we don't have guns... I had fun cropping this weekend! Made me want more, and I think I'll sign up to host on Saturday night to make sure I get some scrappy time in this weekend. With summer weather, there just feels like so much good stuff to do! The gym re-opens Friday - hurray! - and that will be taking a lot of free time away from me. The garden never gets enough attention. And my new babies need a lot of attention as well. For the past 3 years we have been raising Monarch butterflies. Started by bringing in the big caterpillars, and then down the rabbit hole of internet learning we discovered that for best Monarch survival you should be bringing in eggs. Last year was a dud...we couldn't find eggs and barely found any caterpillars too. This year, DH bought a jewellers "loup" - lighted magnifying device - and we can suddenly identify eggs with great clarity. Today I have 31 caterpillars smaller than a grain of rice, and you don't know anxiety until you are counting and recounting baby caterpillars for their own safety and to make sure you don't inadvertently throw one out on a dead leaf!!! AIGH! AND the butterflies were busy laying more eggs today! AIGHGGHGH!

kellyr21 - wow! congratulations on the anniversary! kitbop - monarch caterpillars and butterflies? that's awesome! nylene - great job cleaning out your crafty space and sharing with others! DS drove home yesterday - it's a 10hr drive. I think he enjoyed his time here even though the constant rain cancelled several of our plans. Now I'm back in my crafty space. Dusty goes back to the vet tomorrow for another shot (he was too young at the last visit) - he's 9 weeks now. We'll probably schedule his surgery also - we're firm believers in spaying/neutering here.

Happy YouTube anniversary, kellyr21! It was fun to read your blog and review all the different videos you have done. Sad to see your ds go, Linda, but so glad you had this time together. Your family seems to be very good at finding interesting things to do together. That is a blessing. Great to hear you are raising Monarchs again, kitbop. What a wonderful project for your family. I really hope Katie's foot is completely healed. But I am sure her Mama is giving her all the right exercises to get it back into shape without re-injuring it. Had some excitement in our yard this afternoon. Our dogs treed a young bear! (Will post the only pic I got in a minute) I got them coaxed away and closed up but it took that little guy several hours to get the nerve-or figure out the exactly HOW--to climb down. This all happened about 4:00 this afternoon, and he was still up there at 7:00, but by 8:30 he was gone.
