Good Morning
Well yesterday was a fun day for me. I posted those ATC's (that I showed on here in a previous post), on a FB ATC trading group. I don't trade because I am trying to downsize as much as possible so I can move into a tiny home someday, but I do give my ATC's away, and much to my surprise they were a hit and each of them found a new home. That was thrilling.
Now while I say I am downsizing, I am still buying, and yesterday I hit a home run. I have been seeking out the Kraftin Kimmie Mary Poppins stamp drawn by Annie Rodrigue for several years now. Yesterday it was posted in the FB group where one can sell their retired Kraftin Kimmie stamps and I snagged it! I also picked up Alice and Dorothy. Already planning my projects for them.
Have a wonderful day Pokey's.

joyfulnana - I'm so glad that you're finally feeling better and that no one else got sick. Hopefully work starts slowing down soon. When does school go back in your area? We go back August 11th which is too early in my opinion but... School starts here August 12th and I agree that is too early. I remember not going back until after Labor Day when I was a kid!

Sounds like a wonderful haul, MARIBETHR! You will have so much fun playing with those stamps! And congrats on the love your received for those awesome ATC's. Glad they are going to a home where they will be appreciated. School usually STILL starts here after Labour Day, joyfulnana. But the kids are in class until almost the last day of June, so it kinda evens out. Been out to the garden and back. Would have stayed out there longer but there were a million little bugs out there: smaller than a mosquitoes but with BIG bites. One bit me near my eye on Monday and it has been swollen enough to make my glasses bite into my nose. This morning they held off for about 30 minutes, but then they must have had a lookout cry out "HERE COMES LUNCH!" and they swarmed in. I, of course, was much more sensitive than usual to their flying around my head, so I high tailed it for the house! This is a weird year. Not only are the regular crops not doing well because of heat and drought, but strange predators have come in to finish off whatever is still alive out there...

Pretty quiet here... I finally got a morning at home to scrapbook, so I took full advantage. Dh had appointments and errands in town and I decided to leave the garden alone for the morning. There will be more to pick tomorrow morning, and A.L.W.A.Y.S. pesky weeds... All I will do out there today is dig some potatoes and find some veggies for supper. Did my sample for this next Sketchy Saturday, plus a couple of baseball LO's from a kit I had prepared for last Thursday when I was scrapping at the LSS with justjac. On the field by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Baseball style by Gramma Dee, on Flickr While I am sharing here, I may as well include a couple of the LO's from last week. Used a diecut gifted from gramma for the first one. Dog days of Summer by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Follow your heart by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

I didn't see page 4. I'll read it and post a bit more!Linda , I'm sorry about your drowning garden. We are only allowed to water twice a week, and the neighbor's garden is burning up. We watered a little last night because the potato plants were all limp and leaning over. How I wish you could send us rain. I sat down and petted Binx kitty the other day and the other one, Baxter, came over and made friends. He is still a little skittish each time, but warms up in a few minutes. Alex is a cat lover so I took him with me last night. The shy kitty wouldn't get near him but Binx allowed petting. Alex was thrilled. By the time the family returns we should be good friends with the kitties. grammadee , new potatoes and peas sounds wonderful. I understand about your drought. DH prides himself on having a beautiful lawn (since that's his profession) but this year everyone has brown lawns, including parts of ours. I know he hates that, but is trying to be conservative. I'm sorry you are not getting a bumper crop of veggies this year. Crops are far more important than grass and our farmers are struggling. I hope you are sleeping better. How can you keep up your busy pace without sleep! kellyr21 , be sure to post your scraplift of kitbop 's layout. I love that layout too. I'm sure you will enjoy your tag dies. Tag dies were about the first dies I bought and I find that I use them often on cards and layouts. Did you go to the concert last night? Waving hi to all the Pokey Peas. I so enjoy chatting and scrapping with you all.

Now while I say I am downsizing, I am still buying, and yesterday I hit a home run. LOL, that's what I say too. I am trying to pare down my paper, but I still can't pass up 25 sheets for $1 so I keep buying! Congrats on the love given to your ATC's. I'm sure they will be loved by the new owners. joyfulnana , so glad you are feeling better. Em is sick after coming back from Michigan, but her Covid test was negative. I guess the normal germs are beginning to catch up to us. Too bad the vaccine doesn't prevent those too. Our schools start that same week. It's just too early. It used to be right after the County Fair, but this year the kids will be in school during the Fair. Is Rudy anxious to get back into school? Will it be in-person? What about masking? grammadee , I'm sorry about the bug bites. I hope you can garden when they are not so active. I love your new pages. I'm off to see them up close in the gallery.

Happy Thursday! I had fun at the park concert last night. They had a Beatle's band and they even dressed like them. Also, it is fun seeing all the dogs and their cute faces. Today, was scrapping and doing regular stuff. We had pizza last night and tonight are leftovers. So glad! LOL! My art class is tonight, too. Here is a TN page I did yesterday. I love the flap on this page, too. Getaway TN Page by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr Getaway TN 2 by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr nylene - Yes, I enjoyed the concert and I wish you all could be there. Lots of families with their park chairs and happy moods. I think we have three or four more shows. Glad about that! Also, I will share my tag lo. I did a smaller version in my TN and I will share, too. I was working on it today and still trying to figure the pp and colors out. SO far I am not satisfied with the colors I picked Waving hi to you all!

kellyr21 , you are so clever. That TN is so unique and fun. I'll go take a closer look in the gallery. Oh, I would have loved the concert last night. The Beatles were the rage when I was in High School. I remember when they appeared on TV on the Ed Sullivan show and my dad had a fit over their hair, their gyrations and their music. LOL. I did a bunch of scrapping today and finished up 5 pages that were partially done. I will post them this weekend. Here are the Sheetload Cards for July, made with the newer template. It made 24 cards. I plan to use some and donate the rest. July Sheetload of Cards

Happy Friday! Waving hi to you all! My art class was fun last night but half way through, I got so sleepy. LOL! I just listened and called it a day. I was scrapping yesterday and plan to continue today. Here is a lo I did this week inspired by KikiPea. It is like the TN page I recently did. Explore Beautiful by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr Explore Beautiful by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr nylene - So funny to hear your story about the Beatles. I can imagine all the parents were so concerned and all the the teens going crazy! LOL!

MARIBETHR - how awesome is it that your gorgeous ATC's have foun a good home! MARIBETHR and nylene - trying to downsize here as well. I've been doing pretty good at not buying but I need to get a bit better at letting go. grammadee - bugs certainly take the fun out of gardening - ouch! Love your layouts! nylene - I would LOVE to send you (and grammadee) some of our rain...today is yet another rainy day...we've had 32" in June and July so far. What swweet cards! And tilted photos? Wow - what is this world coming to? kellyr21 - love Beatles music! that must have been a great concert! Your TN is awesome! I've been scrapping - DH is home sick with a cold (at least I hope it's a cold) and he's one to take to bed with the first sniffle so...he's been drinking nyquil and sleeping since he came home early yesterday. I have one more layout to do for February and then I think I'm switching gears and working on my Disney album from 2009

We got rain last night. A big soaking rain that luckily didn't end up in our basement! We are expecting more tonight. We really need it, but it has caused a lot of flooding in the southern part of the state. Thanks for sending some moisture, Linda ! I'm sending you some dry air! Em came home from MI with a very bad cold/flu/whatever. Sound familiar, joyfulnana ? She is really under the weather, but has had 2 Covid tests and she is negative. We are getting so many new Covid cases each day, that DH and I have decided to put our masks back on. We were immunized before Em was and she was found to have no Covid antibodies when they tested her for Covid. We got our shots in Jan and Feb and hers were in Mar and April. Maybe a booster will be necessary.

I have been seeking out the Kraftin Kimmie Mary Poppins stamp drawn by Annie Rodrigue for several years now. I had to google this - it is super cute! These are the types of stamps I have to stay away from - I find them so attractive but they don't get used. grammadee - sorry the garden is having an off-kilter year. I wonder what those bugs are??? We had a horsefly in the car yesterday... we don't see a lot of them here but we know how they bite and we know to be scared!!! DD had a conniption fit in the backseat until we got it out I need to get into the gallery and find some inspiration + leave some love. @kellyr, *thank you* for using my tag border! I like yours more than mine because your colours speak to me. I especially love how you used the tags to hide journaling - the carry through of the tags is a fabulous addition to the design! I don't use tags enough. nylene - glad you got some rain. So sorry GDA is sick... yes, as things open up it will be "business as usual" with colds. I haven't missed those!!!!! Funny how sensitive people are to their allergies this year too - we haven't had those throats/coughs/congestion pieces to desensitize us from the symptoms. Plus, it's been a super bad year for allergies everywhere it seems! We finally got around to buying a new vehicle! Chose a Mitsubishi Outlander because it has the (minute) 3rd row of seats we can flip up if we have need, and met our other requirements on price, cargo space and features. Picked it up yesterday. It will be so much fun (for a while) to have a new car!

Ahhh... the Beatles.... Glad you enjoyed the concert, kellyr21. Theirs was the music of my teens, too. I remember trying to tell my classical music loving dad that they were great musicians b/c of their lyrics and harmony. The look he gave me was photograph worthy, but unfortunately I need to depend on memory for that, as those were the days before camera phones were always in our hands... Hoping Em is beginning to feel better, nylene. Who knew that having everyone wear masks and sanitize their hands and distance themselves would give us a year without colds or flu or many of the other contageous diseases? I really HOPE that what she has is a common cold and will subside. Did she get the regular flu shot in the fall? I know my dh and I will be quite willing to line up for Covid booster shots if that is what it takes. Yay for a new vehicle, kitbop! Enjoy it. Was that the car with the horsefly in it? Good thing your dd wasn't DRIVING when she panicked! That made me think of "heel flies" that plague the cattle out here: they hover in swarms over the animals and often cause them to just take off running and kicking. Each spring before turning them out to pasture, we have them go through a chute that dispenses Ivomax onto their backs to prevent them being tormented over the summer. I think the little devils in my garden were smaller than heel flies, but I really sympathized with those cows. Hope I don't need to be Ivomaxed before I go out into the garden. Mosquitoes never really bothered me, but now I am like Katie and the horsefly whenever I hear their buzzing around . Looks like everyone has been creative this week. And everyone has her own unique style in page design, colour choices, little final touches. So inspiring to see. Left love on Flickr for nylene and kellyr21 and MARIBETHR. And I need to get back to the sharing thread to look at more of your pages, Linda.

Already planning my projects for them. Plans... how I wish I had some. Or should I say just one plan per card I need to make. Hoping the crop today will help me focus. I want to come out of it with four anniversary cards and six birthday cards. And since they are for specific people, aged 6 to 85 with diverse interests, and I usually try to have some kind of personal touch to these cards, I will need all the help I can get...
