I saw this CAL posted on rosina's website. It looks so pretty. I read though that some people were having difficulty with colors. Getting the yarn they need. Rosina does a great job with her patterns too. So if anyone is on the fence about this thinking they can't do it, you absolutely can.

I recognize some of those patterns. Some of the dresses are amazing. And the lady who crocheted all the Pokemons is amazing.

Deramores are selling kits so I assume they can, at least, provide the colours as depicted. But, honestly, I think it's a great project to use some stash yarns and have the colours of flowers you like. I'm planning to have a look through my stash and see what I can put together. And then I can add my made up kit to the line of projects waiting to be done!

I've been working on Whatchamacallit this weekend. I'm at the halfway point now. That's just gorgeous! Isn't it nice to work on things with completely different colours from the previous project? I looked in my yarn crate and realised I only own white, browns, blues and pinks. I really need to get some more. I'm fed up with working in those colours.

That keeps my stash plenty big enough. It's really really rare that I buy something just because I like it.

I didn't find the hat pattern until months afterwards, but I'm so thankful I did. This one:

jeremysgirl that's HALF done??? How big will it finish! Holy cow! I've been repairing masks, replacing elastic, making it adjustable (it's all a mess) and all that jazz because we are headed back to school with a mask mandated indoors. Fun times.

I just bought this vintage Michigan Rag cloth from FB marketplace. 10 (ten!) yards for $30. I can't wait until it arrives. I have no idea what I'll use it for yet but I will just look at it and be happy until I do. I was thinking a simple padded headboard for my eldest as they like Michigan Rag (now Marushka) stuff too. I collect their vintage hooded jackets all in different prints(have an obscene amount) and share some too. The cloth is thick, almost a canvas. Please hold for picture of cloth... Adding collage of a few of jackets.

This one: Some yarns are just irresistible, aren't they? I try very hard to keep my stash to things I have a planned project for. But every once in a while a yarn gets past my willpower. I had had a ton of yarn I never used. I moved it around with me for about 12 years. I finally went through and donated in 2019. And in so glad I did. Now I have limited storage in my craft room and I try not to exceed my storage space. I'm looking forward to Jeremy building me the yarn library. I will get rid of all my extras. I have a bunch of friends who are excited to donate too.

seaexplore looks are deceiving. It's about 30 inches square right now. When it is finished it will be about 60 inches square. I took it to work on when my DD was in the hospital. She couldn't stop oohing and ahhing over how pretty it was. I will give it to her when I'm done. She hasn't had a blanket made by me since she was a very little kid. And that blanket is long gone. So I feel good giving it to her. I told her it would be my gift to her as she embarks on her new life as a woman.

I just bought this vintage Michigan Rag cloth Great fabric! It looks narrower than the current day standard of 42-44". I've never heard of Michigan Rag fabric before so will be going down that rabbit hole to research this afternoon.

She will cherish it I know! I am also glad she is doing better. And the blanket truly is beautiful. I want to do one of those blankets but have to finish others I am doing right now first. Also RedSquirrelUK I love your hat. Perfect and such pretty colors!

I used to love sewing with felt when I was a child so it’s quite nostalgic to sit and sew cute ‘plushies’. There are so many examples and patterns on Pinterest it’s hard to choose. Most of the kids coming to the sessions are 8, and they really seem to love what they make:)

Since many expats can’t leave Tokyo this summer I decided to teach sewing lessons for kids here in Tokyo. I changed my sewing room into a mini classroom and I have small groups of up to 4 kids for 2 hour sessions. I made a bunch of samples for the kids to choose from when they arrive. I’ve had a few boys too so I’ve made sure to include a few gender neutral options along with the kawaii plushies. So far I’ve had very positive reviews from both parents and children What a fun idea and your samples look wonderful! I know those kids are having a fun time in your classes.
