So beautiful, and such a lot of work! I would have loved a commentary saying what each page was about. All those maps and patterns. Is it intended for someone to add things into? To write in? I don't think I'd be able to mess it up by writing into it.

I don't think I'd be able to mess it up by writing into it. Awe, thank you. I will probably re-do my video. I was at Mom and Dad's, and it was hard to film. I will let you know if I make another one. I will use this for art journal pages for quotes, scripture, journaling, etc.

muggins, you inspired me to make a couple of more felt outfits for my troll doll. She only had Christmas attire. I made her shorts, a crop top, and a skater skirt. She really likes her new duds.

My Jimmy Beans Monthly shawl club yarn just arrived. And I love this months shawl pin. I swear the club has been totally worthwhile just for the shawl pins. It's been so fun. That's what I'm up to tonight.

jeremysgirl this one certainly looks right up your alley. It's lovely. So many of them have been so nice. A couple of just meh ones. But most of them have been so nice. I have so many now to choose from every time I wear a shawl. I love that.

Finally got my Choctaw pouch basket stained, filled with flowers, and hung on the front door! (I do still want to try the painting technique at some point but decided I wasn't going to care for it on this particular basket and in this location.)

So cool! Thank you for sharing it with us. So... what do you put in it? Do you write on the pages? Add pictures? I obviously know nothing about this. eta: just read up thread. It's going to be perfect for art, journaling, scriptures.

jeremysgirl do you get a new pattern with the yarn or is it one shawl with all the different yarns done month by month? How does one wear a shawl with a pin? I've only ever seen them worn as wraps.

You're lucky to have a sheltered place to hang it. Our front door gets all the prevailing weather.

I get a little bit of yarn each month plus a pin. The little bits of yarn get worked into one shawl. Here, I've just finished my July yarn and I pinned it out so you can see so far. And I like my shawls and wraps pretty big. I love a shawl pin to keep it around my shoulders and arms without having to fuss with it constantly. A shawl pin is not just decorative but also functional.

I'm a hoodie girl and never go anywhere "fancy" to wear something so gorgeous. I'd probably snag it on every damn thing I walk by. LOL

I figure though that if I damage one I can always make another. And really I make so many and will continue to that it's not big deal.

What kind of a rock have I been living under? I've just done an internet search and a whole new world has opened up to me. There are such pretty ones out there!

Those shawl pins are gorgeous. So many different styles. Have shawl pins been a thing for a long time, as in can I find them at antique stores and such?
I really like the wooden ones.
