Ha, ha facts. Very funny. Your twisted version, perhaps and whataboutisms and false comparisons. Everything I stated in that list is completely true and not twisted in the slightest. This is exactly why it’s pointless to debate with you and Trump Republicans. You have an alternate set of facts and an alternate reality. Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts. (Daniel Moynihan) You won’t like this quote because it’s from the left wing media, but it still rings true. “Alternate facts are not facts, they are falsehoods.” (Chuck Todd) Just like the politicians railing about community efforts to get people vaccinated. They’re starting with false premises. No one from the federal government is going door to door and no one is compelling anyone to get the vaccine. ETA: I’m not getting into a point by point debate with you, but I already pointed out that Trump called it the Kung Flu virus which is very different from the left wing media initially referring to it as the China virus. Trump was called a racist for the term Kung Flu, not the China virus. Different names with very different connotations. So, yes your facts are twisted and false.

They are being manipulated by cynical media and by politicians who know better. Look at the governor of Missouri, simultaneously requesting federal help for Covid outbreaks and protesting about the federal govt. sending agents door to door to compel vaccinations. Which is bullshite, by the way. Good Lord, I canNOT STAND Parsons. UGH. Worst governor my state has had, IMO. He has handled things terribly from the beginning of the pandemic. My state has never had a state-wide mask mandate, not even last spring/summer. He was one of the very last governors to issue a stay in place order, too. Yet, he ran for re-election on his "excellent handling" of the pandemic. OMG. I yelled at the TV so often. LOL Now, MO is one of the worse for Covid infections, rural counties are running crazy trying to find ventilators, etc, and MO is also one of the worst for vaccination rates. Gee, I wonder why?? And I wonder why the folks who need to make this connection, aren't? What I hate is that Parsons wasn't even elected as governor the first time...he became governor when the lovely Eric Greitens resigned not long after his election. We sure know how to pick 'em here!

I’ll be honest, I worry *for* the people going door to door in the current climate in this country. 😞 I feel the same way. There are already folks on Twitter and Instagram foaming at the mouth about their 2nd amendment rights and 'putting them to good use' for anyone that comes knocking on their door. People are unbelievable. Just don’t answer the door. Why would that be so hard?

It's funny how you say you don't think anyone criticized him for Operation Warp Speed and then repeatedly criticize him for it. And yes, it IS a stupid argument. Left leaning Peas constantly make observations like the one that was made twice by a couple of other conservatives on this thread. Yet, Merge came along and tried to shut it down by being insulting and rude AND saying it was already discussed. As if she was in charge of the direction of the thread and what could be discussed on it. As if she couldn't possibly let people make observations she doesn't agree No, I didn’t criticize him for it, I just said that he doesn’t deserve a lot of credit for it. Not the same thing. That's a criticism. As is "a bare minimum that you would expect from an administration".

Based on hundreds... thousands? of the things that it's okay if you're a democrat -but if it's Trump... “a shitstorm of angry democrats”. All claiming he's Hitler and they're terrified and for the cherry on top, you're a racist if you disagree with their assessment. *Kamala outright said, she wouldn't take the vaccine if Trump suggested it. But now that Biden is in office that exact same vaccine is just fine. *The left leaning media all called it the Wuhan Virus because it came from Wuhan, until Trump said it because it came from Wuhan and then magically it was racist. *Trump calling out Loyalty Day is a terrifying thing to do despite it being a proclamation made by every single president since the 50s *Kids in the holding facilities that Obama had built are SUDDENLY "kids in cages" when Trump takes office, and SUDDENLY like magic, those same exact cages revert back to facilities when Biden takes office. *Democrats all call for upgrading the border wall and yet when Trump does, it's suddenly racist to say what the Democrats said. *Trump calls for a peaceful protest to "make your voices peacefully and patriotically heard" and he's inciting violence. Maxine Waters calls for actual "harassment of political opponents" and it's excused as "just encouraging people to speak out" and "use their right to protest". Most of the above is factually incorrect. It’s interesting to see how the human mind can skew things to support preconceived ideas. (I’m sure you actually believe these things, by the way, and not actively trying to deceive.) Okay, what did I get wrong?

Loyalty to the United States not the man ever... Never before Former! Upgrading sections is NOT building a new unnecessary wall. Lots and I pointed several out to you! Two. You pointed out 2 and they were addressed in case you forgot. "He didn't ask us to be loyal to him." "If upgrading it isn't racist, neither is installing something more effective. That's semantics, not racism." "It still remains that if it isn't racist for democrats to want to shore up the wall, it isn't racist for Trump."

I think providing rides for those without cars is essential. Devoting resources in multiple languages so people are comfortable and educated is awesome. I'm not sure sending people to randomly knock on people's doors is helpful and the best use of resources. I'm not outraged by it, just think that there might be better ways of reaching people. I have not read all the responses, but I have seen several peas mentioning free uber rides and stuff which is great, but no everyone has access or ability to request uber or another ride service. I guarantee you my dad would have no idea how to schedule something like that. Not everyone has smart phones or internet. I think door to door is great and frankly the most accessible way to provide every person access to the vaccine.

Beau of the 5th column talked about the sh&tstorm of angry Republicans and Republicans losing their damn minds (not his words). And he pointed out something obvious that we overlooked. In addition to census workers, the federal government sends postal workers door to door and no one loses their damn mind over that. The Republicans are just using this as a rallying cry and playing on the fears of their base. If you ever needed proof that the Republicans only care about power and not people, this is a perfect example. Their supporters are the ones dying of Covid but they are blocking every attempt to stop the spread of the virus. www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/press-briefings/2021/07/08/press-briefing-by-white-house-covid-19-response-team-and-public-health-officials-44/

I know I said I wouldn't debate point by point but here are 2 of your "facts" that are false, incomplete or inaccurate. Loyalty Day - I don't even remember Trump calling out loyalty day. I'm not sure there was the backlash that you seem to think, except for possibly on social media. Here's an article from your left wing media. www.npr.org/2017/05/01/526384758/trump-proclaims-may-1-loyalty-day-so-did-every-president-going-back-to-eisenhoweAnd this is only speculation, but if anyone was up in arms on social media, it was most likely because Trump calling out Loyalty Day takes on new meaning. Previous presidents did not demand complete loyalty to them like Trump did. There are so many examples of how he attacked anyone who disagreed with him. So again, not factually accurate. So many nuances to your "facts" that you overlook or ignore. Democrats calling for upgraded borders - I looked through 5 pages of Google and couldn't find anything referencing this. If you have a link, I would be happy to read it. Without proof, I don't think this claim is true either.

I've seen CNN call Trump out for calling it a foreign virus, ABC called Trump out for calling it a foreign virus...
This reporter at the White House is objecting to Trump calling it the Chinese virus. The objections throughout this video are objecting to calling it the Wuhan virus, the China virus and a foreign virus. So, my facts are not twisted. I know I said I wouldn't debate point by point but here are 2 of your "facts" that are false, incomplete or inaccurate. And here's the proof you asked for about the Democrats. The difference of attitude towards illegal immigrants at the beginning of the video vs. the end of the video is astonishingly noteworthy. Before Trump came down the escalator vs. after.

And no, if the vaccine had become available during the Trump admin and he had suggested a door to door campaign to get people vaccinated, I don’t think there would have been “a shitstorm of angry democrats.” *Kamala outright said, she wouldn't take the vaccine if Trump suggested it. But now that Biden is in office that exact same vaccine is just fine. From NOTV “Washington: President Donald Trump on Friday piled pressure on the US drug regulator to quickly approve the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine as America readied to roll out mass immunizations.
The Washington Post reported that the White House told the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) chief Stephen Hahn to submit his resignation if the agency does not clear the vaccine by the end of the day.
Hahn later disputed the characterization of the call, but the alleged threat came as Trump tweeted that the agency was a "big, old, slow turtle" and told Hahn to get the "dam" vaccines out immediately.
An expert committee had already voted to grant an emergency use authorization, which was expected within days, as the FDA worked to iron out last-minute details with Pfizer.
These included a fact sheet for doctors. The FDA has said it wants to warn people with severe allergies to avoid the shots for now.
Trump's intervention reinserts politics into the scientific process, which could undermine vaccine confidence in the world's hardest-hit country, where the death toll is nearing 300,000.“
This is why Kamala Harris said what she said. A lot of people felt uneasy that trump, who is not a scientist, was pushing for the vaccine to be approved without completing the approval process for new drugs. In fact in CA, Governor Newsom, not trusting trump’s meddling with the approval process for new drugs, declared no FDA approved vaccines would be allowed in the state until the data from the clinical trials was reviewed by a panel of scientists in California first. You have to understand two things about trump, first he is dumber than dirt, and second he does not care about the well being of other people. Both of these things trump has proven over and over again.

Operation Warp Speed…
From Vanity Fair - 4-29-2021
Former President Donald Trump did some of his favorite things on Thursday morning: he called into Fox Business, he bashed public health officials, and he bragged about his presidency. Hours after President Joe Biden hailed his own administration’s distribution and administration of coronavirus vaccines to a joint session of Congress, Trump attempted (again) to take credit for delivering the nation’s success: “In a certain way, I’m the father of the vaccine because I was the one that pushed it.” The former president proceeded to deride Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, for allegedly underestimating the vaccine timeline—an evidence-free assertion that Trump also made during a Fox News interview last month. “I pushed [the FDA] like they had never been pushed before and that’s why we have it,” Trump told Fox’s Maria Bartiromo.“
What he doesn’t understand or admit, the minute that scientists became aware that COVID-19 was going to a problematic virus there wasn’t a biotech company that works on vaccines, especially involving SARS, that didn’t start in some way the search to find a vaccine. Also a lot of R&D done for new drugs is financed by venture capitalists. So these guys were looking for potential companies to invest money in if they felt they could actually come up with a viable vaccine.
So if “OWS” had never been formed the rush to find a viable vaccine would have still happened.
What “OWS” did do was buy doses of potential vaccine to make sure that if approved the United States would have a supply.
Having said that, any other Administration would have done the same thing.
What trump did do was was raise the concerns of the safety of any vaccine with his interference.

“Fox News And Donald Trump Are Embracing Xenophobia To Defend Against The Coronavirus.
Before CA shutdown Nancy Pelosi took a walk with Chinese Leaders of Chinatown in San Francisco because trump was blaming China for the virus and folks quit shopping in Chinatown. It was also about the time the attacks started on Asian Americans. Every couple of days you would see on the news where someone would just run up to an elderly Asian person walking down the street and knock them flying. For no reason. Just knock them flying. I believe a couple died from their injuries.
The whole time this was happening trump was blaming China for what was happening in the United States and repeatedly referred to it as the “China Virus“ to add fuel to the fire he was building.
What he was doing was deflecting attention away from his own incompetence when it came to the handling of the virus in the United States.

Yes, and let's not forget how he didn't want an AMERICAN cruise ship with covid patients on board to dock because he "liked" the numbers where they were. Good grief. How anyone can defend the way he handled the beginnings of this is mind boggling to me. Especially after it came out that he actually told Bob Woodward that he purposefully downplayed it.

"It manipulates your DNA at the tiniest molecular level. Do. Not. Get. It. It's not safe." I'm not a molecular scientist, but I'm fairly certain this vaccine doesn't 'manipulate our DNA' ...does she mean it would cause us to mutate, like in the X-Men, or what?!?! Seriously?!? Sorry for her sick family, but... people who got vaccinated aren't mutants. (although sometimes I would like the ability to just 'poof,' teleport myself somewhere like the Nightcrawler, instead of having to take the time to commute there in my car. )

And that as more information and facts become available one can change how they view something? I don’t think you do. The difference between President Biden/VP Harris and trump is they are smarter then he is. And more importantly they will listen to the experts/advisors. The most important thing is to make sure any vaccine is safe and does what it’s suppose to do. The last thing a responsible President would do is apply any political pressure to speed up the process of approving drugs no matter how much they want to. The process has to run its course without any outside influence for the safety of the American People. The last thing one could say about trump is that he is responsible.

What he was doing was deflecting attention away from his own incompetence when it came to the handling of the virus in the United States. Nancy, walking through Chinatown shoulder to shoulder, maskless, hugging and kissing people and encouraging everyone to come too. If Trump would have done that, people would have condemned him as trying to kill people. Don't forget all of the news agencies calling it the same thing as he did and not one thread or even a single condemnation of THEM doing that. Did you miss the part about “before CA shut down”? Do you know what “shut down” means? Should I have been more specific and said before the wearing masks and social distancing became required and before businesses in the area and including Chinatown closed down? The San Francisco Bay Area was one of the first areas to close all but businesses they were deemed necessary, require masks and social distancing. If that had been in place during Nancy’s walk in Chinatown there would have been no stores open for people to come and shop at except grocery stores and no restaurants to eat at. So why come? And as to other people/media saying it, they weren’t the President of the United States who is suppose to set an example for the a American People.
