Mad About You Friends Seinfeld
I watch many fewer sitcoms than dramas. I think it’s harder to keep them fresh and avoid formulaic writing as they age. I’ll keep watching a stale drama for plot and characters.

I LOVED Castle from the beginning but when it came to the final season, I couldn't watch what they did with the characters and stories so I only saw maybe one or two episodes from Season 8. I consider Season 7 the final season.
ER. Just got too busy and it was such a long show. I left off sometime a few years after what happened with Dr. Green.

I haven’t watched the last few episodes of Schitt’s Creek because I don’t want it to end.

I stopped watching Walking Dead, but am waiting to hear how the peas who are watching view the ending, if they liked it I will pick up from where we left off. XFiles is one I stopped. For those of you with unfinished HIMYM business you can watch the finale and right when the mom says “My name is…” TURN IT OFF. me too on Walking Dead. I gave up that one season when they were all kneeling waiting for Nagen to swing his club. That did it for me and I couldn't bear to watch it anymore. I never saw spoilers (did it end even? I stopped keeping up).

I’m notoriously fickle about TV and watch very little. It would be a way shorter list to name ones that I actually finished rather than ones I abandoned. That’s me. I feel like I’m such a party pooper because I just don’t like much at all! Recently, I’ve tried Virgin River, Grace and Frankie, The Marvelous Life of Mrs. Maisel….none of them can hold my attention. I want to desperately to watch a SHOW. It o just cannot commit myself to years of a plot….

The X-Files, I didn't like Robert Patrick's character so I stopped watching, I did love the newer seasons though.
True Blood, I never watched the final season, just lost interest in it.
I stopped watching it then, too. Without Mulder it just wasn’t the same.

I watched many seasons of Grey’s Anatomy before giving up. It lost its appeal to me along the way.
ETA Walking Dead was another one we stopped watching.

I did the same with Good Girls. Loved it the first season (and I'm a big fan of Christina Headricks) but it was just the same story over and over again. We stopped watching half through season 2. I just recently started Grey's Anatomy and I really like it but I can't imagine being invested in these characters for 21 seasons!

In the 1990's.... Beverly Hills 90210. Watched the first few years, and stopped watching after the starting core group of cast members graduated from High School, then things seemed to change, in regards to the characters and the storylines.
ER. The first several years were good, then once some of the main character departed (Dr Ross, Dr Green, Dr Lewis, Nurse Hathaway, etc...), I didn't care for some of the newer cast members that were added in, so I stopped watching.

I'm trying to think of series I DID finish watching and all I can think of are Six Feet Under, Schitt's Creek, Flight of the Conchords and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (which had the ending planned from the beginning and worked toward it for four seasons).
I think U.S. shows have the issue of continuing way past when they should have ended and they either get desperate and outlandish or repetitive. After hanging in for years, I gave up on so many when they lost their way: The Walking Dead, OITNB, The X Files, Jane the Virgin, Lost, True Blood, ER, Dexter, Glee, Little House on the Prairie . . .

Soooooooo many shows! My time is worth more than the effort to finish watching something.
Supernatural, greys, walking dead, good doctor, oitnb, manifest, this is us, million little things.. multiple summers of big brother.
Other than big brother I don't often stop in the middle of a season. But if the next season is starting and I'm not excited to watch it? Then nah I throw the towel in. With something like supernatural, the first season was perfect and the second was still great -- I'll randomly rewatch through a few seasons until I've had my 'fix' and then quit again.
Then on the complete other side of not finishing something -- I didn't watch the (first) series finale of veronica mars until the movie came out. I'd probably do a rewatch yearly and it was always on the soap channel but I'd never watch the last episode. It was my LIFE in high school and one of those things where "if I didn't see it it didn't happen".

Oh, so many shows. I just lose interest after a while.
There are several shows I WISH I had stopped before the end because the endings sucked. Dexter was the big one, and that was my favorite show ever. Worst ending ever. How I Met Your Mother as well. Seriously? Sheesh.

there's a couple shows I *WISH* I had stopped, after seeing how crappy the last season ended up, lol!!
Game of Thrones, anyone?!? blech! Also Fringe-- it was really a cool show, sort of like the X-Files, and then they ended up with an 'alternate universe wants to take over our world' type thing. Also blech.

Big Bang Theory - watched all seasons except the last. NCIS - watched faithfully for years. Haven’t watched the last two seasons. Once Upon A Time - Stopped watching when they came back to the “real” world.

This is Us Grey’s Anatomy
I thought Schitt’s Creek did it best! 6 seasons that never got old. Ended on a perfect note for all the characters. Sad to see it end but any more would have ruined it.

I gave up on Handmaids Tale. The season before this last one got tedious for me and it was so long until this new season started up that I forgot the plot. I hear this season was good but I can't bring myself to re-watch the previous season so I'm out. I’m just now watching it… I’m literally at the beginning of Season 3

This is Us. I loved it but I missed a few episodes and never got back into it. Greys Anatomy. I am so glad I stopped, I can’t believe it’s still going on. I just can’t be dedicated for a show that long. Walking Dead. I stopped about two years ago. I couldn’t get back into it. I lasted longer than my kids, who got me into the show. The Goldberg's. If I could figure out the day and time I’d watch it again but it’s jumped around days and times.

Too many to list. I do the same thing with a lot of books. Life it too short to feel that I have to complete anything that bores me. I'd rather move on to something more interesting.

Orange is the New Black. When I got Netflix I watched the first 3 seasons and loved it. I watched the next 2 when they dropped. Then it took so long for the last 2 to come out that I lost interest and never finished. There's a better one about women in prison Wentworth!!!

Big Bang Theory is the one that comes to mind.
I'm sad to hear that Manifest was not renewed. We have this season recorded. Same with Prodigal Son.

Add another to the list for The Walking Dead. The Denny from Grey’s Anatomy story line wasn’t for me. Dexter, when Darla from Buffy was having pregnancy issues. That can be a huge trigger for us, which sucked because we were really into it at the time. Lost, I don’t remember details but something about other people in the island that were running the whole thing or something? I just wanted to say that she will always be Darla to me no matter what she plays and I just can't see her as a weak person. Also, I haven't gotten to that season of Dexter yet

Grey's Anatomy - after the plane crash - couldn't bring myself to watch anymore This is Us - depressed me too much Grace and Frankie - after a couple seasons it was so repetitive The Boys - I lasted about 8 episodes but just didn't care enough to finish
Just started Manifest on Netflix - We are 3 episodes in. Sorry to hear it was cancelled.

I've been binge watching Grey's Anatomy because I never did watch it when it originally started. I'm mid-way through Season 16 and really not feeling it anymore.... but I'm no quitter so I'll soldier on.....

I actually haven’t finished the most recent season of This is Us. I just didn’t care about it any more.
Bones and Castle were some others.
