I'm not talking about watching a few episodes and saying 'this isn't for me.' What are the shows you watched until or near the final season and then said 'enough'? Or did you stick it out to the end even if you really disliked what the show was doing? For me it was How To Get Away with Murder. I think I stopped halfway through the next to the last season. I just didn't care anymore about the characters. And now it is Good Girls. I want everyone but Stan to go to jail and with the announcement that ... they are not being renewed and will not really have a good wrap up I just find myself aggravated at watching them. These women want to commit crimes. They can't keep hiding behind the 'I'm doing it for my family line.'

I *wish* I had done that with the Sopranos. I watched that show faithfully all those years and then BAM..it ended in a big nothing.

I’m midway through Ozark and not highly motivated to finish it. Except Julia Garner is amazing.

How I Met Your Mother - I watched all but the final 2 seasons. It just got really stupid.
I gave up on Grey’s Anatomy around season 7…I felt it had jumped the shark and was nearing the end. Who could have guessed it would still be on this many years later??!
I am a completionist … I have a hard time letting things go because I want to know how it’s going to end. But more and more as I get older, I can walk away from stupid shows quite easily.

The Walking Dead. I think I watched about 5 or 6 seasons, and then I just couldn't take it anymore.

Z Nation. Zombie themed series. It was cancelled after the 5th season and we watched all 5 although we kinda lost interest after 3. It was great through season 3. Season 4 really jumped the shark and 5 was just dumb. It was like they got all new writers and those writers sucked. But hey, it was the pandemic and we were binge watching shows to pass the time. Besides, we really liked the characters but hated the writing.

Yes this. I stopped two seasons before the end. The characters just became caricatures of themselves. We always DVRd it so DH stick it out to the end.

I’m notoriously fickle about TV and watch very little. It would be a way shorter list to name ones that I actually finished rather than ones I abandoned.

Add another to the list for The Walking Dead. The Denny from Grey’s Anatomy story line wasn’t for me.
Dexter, when Darla from Buffy was having pregnancy issues. That can be a huge trigger for us, which sucked because we were really into it at the time.
Lost, I don’t remember details but something about other people in the island that were running the whole thing or something?

I stopped watching The Office shortly after Michael left. I just adored Michael (and Steve Carell) so much that I didn't see any point after that.
Now, years later, I've started to watch the last two seasons. I like them but I still miss Michael.
I wish I stopped watching Lost. The ending ruined me for dramas. I haven't watched a dramatic series since.

I heard they were disappointing and I just didn't want to. Since then, I've been spoiled on what happens so I don't think I'll ever watch them. I also gave up on Grey's around season 7, never thinking they'd still be on so many years later. And it's not recent, but I watched The Simpsons when it was first on, I think ALL of seasons 1-4 and some until season 7 and a few here and there in seasons 7-9 but nothing since. We were just talking about this with family. We loved it in the early 90s but don't know anyone watching it currently. It's in season 32, I think!

The X-Files, I didn't like Robert Patrick's character so I stopped watching, I did love the newer seasons though.
True Blood, I never watched the final season, just lost interest in it.

Supernatural. I was intrigued with the first 5 seasons. They should have stopped there when the plan for the show was complete. I watched for a few more seasons and then just gave up. I liked when they used the Bible and lore for the basis of the story.

I had this season of Manifest in my DVR but when I heard it got cancelled I deleted all the episodes. I’m debating on doing the same with Good Girls since it’s cancelled.

Orange is the New Black. When I got Netflix I watched the first 3 seasons and loved it. I watched the next 2 when they dropped. Then it took so long for the last 2 to come out that I lost interest and never finished.

Big Bang Theory.
It was running out of steam towards the end. The character of Sheldon was getting very irritating for me. I almost couldn’t stand to watch anymore. We started DVR Ing it instead of watching it live and ended up with probably over half of the last season on the DVR that sat there for months. I finally just deleted them I had lost so much interest.

I gave up on Handmaids Tale. The season before this last one got tedious for me and it was so long until this new season started up that I forgot the plot. I hear this season was good but I can't bring myself to re-watch the previous season so I'm out.

Apparently, it's only available on Hulu for so long after the episodes air and I've let several of them go this season. I binged it earlier this year and couldn't wait to get to the next episode and could not care less this season.

I stopped watching Walking Dead, but am waiting to hear how the peas who are watching view the ending, if they liked it I will pick up from where we left off.
XFiles is one I stopped.
For those of you with unfinished HIMYM business you can watch the finale and right when the mom says “My name is…” TURN IT OFF.

I made it to season 9 of the Walking Dead during most of lockdown last year, and then things started opening up again & I haven't watched it again since. I keep thinking I'll finish it but clearly it isn't interesting me enough
We were really into the first 3 or 4 seasons of the Blacklist and then lost interest
