Kelloggs Krumbles cereal. It was a shredded wheat cereal. My mother and I both loved that cereal (fond memories there).

I remember Suchard chocolate bars from my teens called Lila Pause and Nussini. They were delicious. The Nussini especially was light and crunchy and nutty and… I’m salivating here! The other thing I miss is a Lindt chocolate bar that I’ve only ever bought in the US - it’s not available in the UK at all. It’s white chocolate with coconut and is so good. And I bet by the time I eventually get my twice-cancelled Florida holiday, Lindt will have stopped making it.

Quisp cereal and Willy Wonka Scrunch bar. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Quisp cereal recently at HyVee. I didn’t buy it because I was busy buying multiple boxes of retro recipe Golden Grahams to make S’mores bars. I don't have HyVee, but perhaps I can get it online. Thanks for the eye spy. Linda last week a box of individual size bags of 3D Doritos arrived at our house. Two flavours, both a bit spicy, so I was glad for the small portion.

Someone remade those, one of the big brands... Kemps, maybe. They're not the same. When I was little, my grandparents always had pudding pops in the freezer and they would give us the tiniest amount of hot coffee to dunk them in. Soooo good. crazy4scraps mentioned Twinkies; I prefer Hostess ho-hos or ding-dongs (chocolate). We used to have a hostess outlet and my mom often stopped on her way home from work. Because they were near sellby dates, we'd put them in the freezer. Back in the day when they had foil wrappers. It was really the only way we could afford Hostess treats. But they're just not as good any more. My personal theory is that it's because everyone had to remove trans fats. My mom used to always shop at the Hostess outlet bread store too! And LOL about the sell by dates, they really don’t matter because those things have so many preservatives in them that they would never rot anyway. I’m sure you’re right about the trans fats. None of that stuff is anywhere close to as good as it used to be. This thread reminds me of my all time favorite thing that is forever gone, and that would be Frosty Angel Cakes. Those were from Dolly Madison and the only place that I ever saw them was at certain gas stations. It was a little loaf of angel food cake with a slab of thick, sugary pink frosting on top. I wouldn’t get them all the time but when I’d see them I’d buy like 2-3 of them. They’ve been gone for a long time. If I could recreate that recipe, I’d be all over it. And speaking of Dolly Madison, that reminds me that raspberry zingers were one of my favorite treats. My recollection is that they did have a slight discernable raspberry taste to them. Now they just taste sweet.

McDonald's French Fries - before they changed the oil. Back in the 80's and early 90's they were so delicious and so much better than they are now!

With so much talk of Hostess, I miss the honey buns with the white frosting on top. Those were amazing after you popped them in the microwave for 15 seconds. I haven't seen them in years. Now all the honey buns have an opaque frosting that's weak.
There's a lot that of things that are still around, but don't taste as good when I try them again, especially some types of chocolate. Cadbury in the US tastes nasty now. Caramellos are terrible. I used to love them.

Amy’s green tamale frozen dinner. It’s one of the only premade meals that I’ve found that doesn’t have dairy or onions. I used to keep it in the freezer for an emergency meal. T. marzetti’s coleslaw dressing. I’ve tried copycat recipes, but it’s just not the same. My version is probably missing all the chemicals, but it’s what grandma used and it’s nostalgic for me. Ben & Jerry’s New York Super Fudge Chunk ice cream. I hadn’t had it in years and now I’m allergic to dairy. There used to be these chocolate covered almond bits in it that I loved. Pudding mix in an individual sleeve. Believe it or not, it’s dairy free and you can make it with oat milk and it was under 100 calories for a serving. I’d like the individual sizes again. I haven't tried it, but Marzetti Cole Slaw dressing is in the refrigerated section at my Kroger. I don't know how it compares to the T. Marzetti version.

brach's maple nut goodies. they used to have harder outer shells and be soft inside. the last few years they switched the recipe, and now the outside is soft, the inside hard, and they don't taste the same.

There was a licorice candy, almost a caramel texture that I loved as a child. They were individually wrapped in black and silver paper, and I think that they were made in England.

I don't remember the brand, Swanson or Banquet?? Frozen dinner, wide egg noodles in a creamy buttery sauce, with apple cobbler type dessert. Morton frozen honey buns. French's potato sticks (they still make them in a larger sized can), but they used to have them in the individual portion sized bag. They came in a box. Morton’s frozen honey buns was what I was going to say! Loved them. Also miss pudding pops! There here we’re these Keebler chocolate cookies that had chocolate cream filling, I remember they had a hole in the middle where the filling would poke through. I also miss stuff they still make , they just are awful now. Yodels and Devil Dogs Tastycakes Hawaiian Punch Right now, I’ve been at the Hospital for 6 weeks, I miss real food!

stormycat I hope you are able to go home soon! Gatorade had a green apple flavor, some tie in with The Matrix. It was so dang good, but I only ever had a few of them before I couldn’t find them anymore. Shortly before COVID hit DH came across some (or very similar) and surprised me with it, what a treat! I feel very left out that I never had nor have I heard of Jello 1-2-3. Apparently my mom dropped the ball.

I think they still sell Zero candy bars, but they are hard to find, at least around here.
When I was a kid we used to go swimming at our little town's wonderful swim complex. After spending all day at the pool, we'd grab our bicycles and pedal across the street to Wolfe's Grocery store where we'd buy a frozen Zero bar for 15 cents. It was heaven. Then we'd pedal home.
Now that I think about it, it was a great deal for our parents. For 45 cents (25 cents for the pool and 15 cents for the Zero bar) we were gone and out of their hair for the entire day. They didn't even have to drop us off and pick us up from the pool. We wanted to ride our bikes!

Ice Cube chocolate candy. So smooth, creamy, and delicious! I'm sure they were called Ice Cube because of how well they melt in your mouth. Once in a blue moon a local pharmacy will have these at the cash register, and I always grab a few when I see them. They are kind of pricey online so I stick to the surprise local appearance LOL.

Thinking about Ice Cubes reminded me of my elementary school candy store. Mrs. Miller (4th grade) had a closet full of candy, and each class was allowed one trip to the candy store each week. I remember saving a dime out of my allowance for candy store day every week! Besides the Ice Cubes I mentioned above, we could buy: Cinnamon or grape cube lollipopsBB BatsCaramel creams (I still love those and get them for my theater candy when I go to the movies) Lemon HeadsBoston Baked BeansZotzSixletsJolly Ranchers...and many others I can't think of off the top of my head LOL. I'm pretty sure this one was a PTA fundraiser, but can you imagine a school candy store today? I know many of these candies still existed 8-10 years ago because they sometimes appeared in my kids' Halloween bags. Other than the caramel creams and Ice Cubes, I can't remember the last time I had any of these.

Some of your posts made me remember other things.
Holland Rusks. They were this round cracker/bread like thing. They were basically really crispy English muffin shaped things, We would either butter them or broil then with cheddar cheese on top.
Also, this wasn’t from my childhood but I loved in the late 90’s early 2000 when everything was crazy colors. There was turquoise ketchup, blue french fries, multi colored fish sticks, green Hawaiian Punch, etc.
Vienna Finger cookies, is that what they were called? They were oblong vanilla sandwich cookies.

They are one of the few things that still taste the same to me after all these years.

This used to be a favorite cookie for one of my DDs, and she tried them and said they were disgusting. Probably removed the trans fats since the last time we had them. Yeah, I know that trans fat isn't good for you, but dang, it makes some baked goods taste so much better!
