I really like her Instagram account. She uses an assortment of products! Her set up for October Daily... She's got such cool stuff. Apparently I follow her too already but I can't even remember the last time I saw her in my feed. This is why I loath Instagram. I follow a bunch, but see the same 7 people.

She has 100 days of Halloween lists. Wow! That's amazing. I'm sure it's a lot to live with everyday, but I love that she's so into it.

sleepingbooty the skele-animals will be making a comeback this year. I still have some in my shop from last year, but I plan to work on a few more designs (eventually). My shop doesn't ship internationally, mostly because it ends up costing a fortune for shipping, even more than the cards cost, and it just didn't seem worth it. BUT if anyone ever sees a card that they want and don't mind taking a chance on regular mail (just a global stamped envelope rather than a rigid or bubble mailer) I would be happy to sell anyone anything just lmk. I also have some Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween cards in my shop using some fun die cuts someone else illustrated. If anyone would just like some skele-critters for their books, I can stamp and mail a few. I have an owl, rat, dog, cat and bunny. Just need to fire up the Tiny Tim platform and the ScanNCut. I really wanted to make a card that said "skele cat, skele cat, what are they feeding you?" and "it's not your fault" inside, but I haven't figured out how to design it and was worried that it was stealing Friends' IP. Not that there aren't far worse IP infringments out there, and this might be fair use... I still need to look up the actual names of the Hallmark movies I like. The one with Ashley Williams that's actually got a Halloween focus is pretty good as long as I can leave the room when the rival lady attempts to speak Japanese. (the secondhand embarrassment is strong in this one). And the YA author with amnesia in Vermont (or is it Maine?) one. I did like the Nikki/Andrew W one you mentioned too. I think that's maybe the only one I watched last year. ETA: October Kiss and Falling for Vermont. Big eye rolls over all the titles.

I was actually considering starting a Journal Your October 6x8 album. In Canada we have Thanksgiving, which leads to a kind of blended Gratitude and Autumn theme. And I had plans to visit kids and grandkids after the garden was "off" (harvested) and before the snows and ice of winter (it is a 5-6 hour drive on good roads). Was looking forward to watching the dgk's in their sporting events. one option was to catch Halloween at one of those households, be part of the little guys' excitement... Just last week registered for an in-person crop at the end of the month.
But as of last night, our province is shutting down again due to Covid numbers. Contact between households is restricted. Limits to numbers allowed to gather indoors and outdoors. Sporting events may be affected. Vaccination passports were introduced last night, but the website where you register was--of course--crashed within 30 minutes of that announcement. So--again--uncertainty reigns. I was just relearning how to make plans and look forward to carrying them out.
So I will give up the idea of the October album. I will continue to scrap the visits I WAS able to make, and the experiences I WAS able to have, this past summer.

BUT if anyone ever sees a card that they want and don't mind taking a chance on regular mail (just a global stamped envelope rather than a rigid or bubble mailer) I would be happy to sell anyone anything just lmk. Yeah, if you're up for selling one through regular mail, I'll grab a skele-bunny from your Etsy. If it gets lost/stolen through transit, so be it. I'll cast a nasty spell on the thief and hope they are forever haunted by animal ghosts and that'll be it. C'est la vie. I love all the skeleton creatures you have but alas, I really can only think of one person to send Halloween mail to! As you know, we're not a greeting card-oriented society (barbarians! savages!) and even less of a Halloween crowd (cursed! doomed!). I really wanted to make a card that said "skele cat, skele cat, what are they feeding you?" and "it's not your fault" inside, but I haven't figured out how to design it and was worried that it was stealing Friends' IP. Not that there aren't far worse IP infringments out there, and this might be fair use... You should go for it! Eh, you'd be able to invoke parody... The Cocoa Daisy special Halloween Kit is up on their website now, just a few left from the preorder. Really spooky and great if you like Harry Potter Definitely a kit for the Potterheads. I saw that "I put a spell on you" word art and immediately was like: "I have that." It's also in Prima's Thirty-One collection!

So sorry it's getting bad again and that there are delays with the vaccine passport roll-out. We're lucky at least in that way: the pass allows to enter larger stores (like IKEA, tee hee), shopping centres, restaurants, cafés, cinema theatres and museums easily. I absolutely love the system. Hope you can all catch up soon and start visiting places again. Stay safe!

Especially with your small window of good weather before winter hits. 😞 Glad you were able to make some happy memories over the summer. Hopefully that will tide you over through the lockdown.

Should be able to watch it this weekend... I do love a good temporary amnesia Hallmark love story. And yes, Falling for Vermont was fun although I remember being SO distracted by the in-between-the-eyebrows space for both actors, bwahaha! My brain can focus on such silly things, I swear.

October Kiss might be really bad - idk. I don't think they've done too many Halloween romances with OTT decorating and costumes. And who doesn't love a governess/widowed dad love story? Oh my goodness joblackford your skele cards are gorgeous! Very tempted to order a couple.
In Halloween jewellery news, Tatty Devine have just launched their Season of the Witch range and it's booootiful. I am willing to sell a kidney for the raven necklace, but the other things are cute (and a tiny bit more affordable)

If you really love it, make sure you check whether it's not limited edition. Don't do what I did last year and miss out on a piece of jewellery because of putting the purchase off. Major love at first sight (for this Memento Mori necklace) and now it's no longer available. I still regret it. 😭

For those of you that buy random pieces here and there like me, Scrapbooking for Less has "new" items in their Halloween category. What I like is you get two papers for $1.20. No deciding which side to use when you love both! scrapbooking-for-less.com/collections/halloween?page=1

Hello fellow 'Weeners! I just finished cleaning up my my October album for last year, and I thought, not this year...then I saw this album at my favorite kit shop and fell in love. buttonfarmclub.com/collections/project-kits/products/midnight-tales-button-farm-club-kit-for-august-2021It's our first Halloween in our new house, and I'm super excited to have trick-or-treaters this year. We've lived in a condo for the past 6 years and Halloween had been pretty depressing, I can't wait for this year. I will use this album as a catch-all for all of October and Halloween night. It's very pretty in person. Sidenote - going to dress up this year, for the first time in ages. I'm dead set (OMG I'm sorry) on dressing up as Narcissa Malfoy. I think I just need some cheap clip-in hairpieces and a green jacket of sorts, if I can thrift one it will be perfect.

The Hey Pumpkin things I grabbed came in, hooray! Love all the holo stuff. Now I need to go through cardstock and grab some coordinating papers. And I want to look for some cut aparts that would go along with the color scheme.. time to window shop 😍
Last night my boyfriend told me we needed to come up with a list of 31 movies to watch next month.. ummmm, yes!
Yesterday I found out our favorite pumpkin patch is remaining closed this year. Sad, but super understandable.

Last year I was a total grinch and turned off the lights to trick or treaters. I had participated in some form for almost 20 years too. No outside decorations. People sucked. They still suck this year, but not as much.
Plus, I miss the cute little kids. My favorite was a family dressed as crayons two years ago.
That album is awesome! I'd love to do a super scary Tim Holtz-esque type of album. I know that's an investment into a lot of mixed media I do not have, so I keep it simple.
