Thank you all for love on the banners - I am having a crap day and it made me feel better! I am constantly using supplies or scrappy things in home dec and around the house...let me see if I can give you some ideas: Using patterned paper to line things like trays, frames, bulletin boards. I've also use cut up pattern paper in the little squares of my letterpress trey to decorate. If I use a tray to decorate my dining table, can put pattern paper there. Or even on a glass shelf of a china cabinet of some sort. If you have a doily type die cut, even better, can make spots for paper doilies to use under things or even food items. Using old photos/holiday photos to decorate - for a few years I would hang (same style as banners) photos of either me and my brother in halloween costumes as kids, or my nephew's different costumes thru the years. Sometimes I just add them to fridge. For xmas I will get out some old photos of kids with santa or doing other holiday activities. Brads can be used on letterpress boards as punctuation, bullet points, or just decoration. Stick the prongs in between the felted lines. For Christmas I have some decorative display boxes with clear lids that I put fairy lights inside. I cover the battery pack with a 4 inch wide strip of pattern paper, scoring at the edges to keep it nice and neat. One of my favorite tree ball decorations for Christmas is using the acrylic balls you can fill. Taking 1 inch of various coordinating pattern paper then curling it with pencil and adding curls to inside. It's an easy project, but turns out pretty, esp if you get creative with theming your tree. hmmm...that's all I got for now, but yea, I think one of the things I like most about having this stash of supplies is using it for other things. A lot of times I will see something displayed in Joann's or a home store and think I can totally put that together with what I have. There was something else halloween I saw I wanted to share with you all...hmmm....will remember soon!

I broke ground and started cutting into paper, hooray! 😂 SB.com still had chipboard stickers from the Hey Pumpkin line so I scooped that up + a Bella Blvd acetate with orange hearts + an orange inkpad + grabbed a few cut aparts from Simple Stories' Boo Crew & Spooky Nights.. and then maybe some cardstock stickers and bits&pieces too.I found a paper pad from a few years ago at Michaels full of celestial things and it had a 12x12 page with a big moon. I fussy cut the moon out, cut it in half & it hole punched perfectly into the little planner album I'm using. It sticks out a little bit but not too much to be an issue. And it's holographic so it was practically meant to be Joanns has 50% off DCWV things and there's a sticker pack with holo pieces that will probably end up in my cart and on my doorstep lol. Aw man and I see there's a 6x6 pad that matches. We finalized our movie list this morning in the order we want to (hopefully) watch them! It's more of a "31 movies of Halloween" with only 3 that have specific dates we'll see them. Now to figure out how I want to document them all All together? Separated by days they're watched? Hmmm lol I'm excited for the month, any reason to make a mini is good to me.

I was just cutting some holographic foil cardstock for some Halloween cards I'm working on and decided to try an intricate snowflake die on a scrap. It looks so good! I'm pretty sure my Christmas tree will be covered in them this year, they're so shiny and pretty. Or maybe I'll make a garland for the fireplace. Hope your day gets betterer...

scrapcat Oh my, your Halloween display is gorgeous! It is like stepping into a seasonal scenery... The banners you came up with are beautiful and super creative. I'm loving how the TH Toil & Trouble witch silhouettes came out and how you played up the traditional orange + black Halloween colour scheme for these. Your black ceramic cat is so cool, by the way. Thanks so much for sharing your décor with us!

I’m not sure why because I don’t envision booty as “bitchy” maybe snarky on occasion but not bitchy. Pretty sure 'bitchy' and 'snarky' are quite the equivalent in France... "'Tain (contracted form of "putain" which is literally "whore", our favourite curse word and interjection #trèschic) mais tu bouges !" is absolutely something I say, heehee. Ack, I did not know that Heidi Swapp put out a Halloween kit. Very tempting. I love the papers I'm good, I'm immune to this Inked kit, phew! I feel like the papers are variations on popular Halloween lines from the past few years like Crate Paper and Pink Paislee. I'm intrigued by the word stickers though. They look like they were printed on matte paper?

Do you have any plans for this year's documenting? Photos of autumn colors, and Halloween costumes, maybe TOTing if we do it this year.
Did you purchase any Halloween or autumn goodies for your scrapbooking this year? I bought several (read: close to a dozen) sticker packs from Dollar Tree for both autumn and Halloween. So many pretties
Do you have special events and traditions you wish to document this year? A new one for us will be Boo At The Zoo. I'm really hoping to take the kids. So many photo ops.
Plus, as always, kids' Halloween costumes and the change of tree leaf colors.
those puffy stickers are so cute! I want a whole sheet of the candy corn! refugeepea Love those trees! So much fun and very festive. Every year I tell myself that I am going to do an Easter tree and a Halloween tree, and every year I skip it. Maybe this year will be the year I let myself?

Every year I tell myself that I am going to do an Easter tree and a Halloween tree, and every year I skip it. Maybe this year will be the year I let myself? DO IT!! I sometimes put up the fake Xmas tree (which is fairly small) in mid to late October and have fun topping it with Jack as Sandy Claws (he lives on there for Xmas too, obvs) and adding some Halloween bits and bobs, then taking off the spooky ones for November, just leaving some fall things, then it's ready to go for Xmas when we come back from Thanksgiving travels. I inherited some new Halloween baubles this year that I'm hoping will be cute. I might've given away all the fall decorations though so I might have to adjust my plans slightly (which is fun too!)

Every year I tell myself that I am going to do an Easter tree and a Halloween tree, and every year I skip it. Maybe this year will be the year I let myself? All of that stuff is from Dollar Tree. I was hoping this was the year my special needs son would finally leave ornaments alone that are shaped like balls, but no! I don't cry if something gets ruined though. I already have one that had to be thrown away and there's a dented eyeball ornament now.
ETA: Socks are purchased, Eleven outfit is complete for my son's Halloween costume. I found a home with creepy Halloween decorations. I think I'll throw photos of that in there.

New and free Halloween SVGs have been added to the Love SVG website. A lot are for decor or t-shirts, but some work for scrapbooking.

Dude. I just got my Paper Person delivery... and it's missing the Halloween Mini Kit!!! My face was probably hilarious because I was all "wait... what?" "Where is it?!" "Did I order it?"
I've already sent an e-mail over to PP. I knew you'd understand my sadness.

Dude. I just got my Paper Person delivery... and it's missing the Halloween Mini Kit!!! My face was probably hilarious because I was all "wait... what?" "Where is it?!" "Did I order it?" Nooooooooooooooooooo! Man, I hope they make it right ASAP. I'm not sure how much they hold back now that they've stopped shipping internationally but I've got my fingers crossed for you. The daily albums make me DROOL! I wonder if I’ll FINALLY make one this year ? ! 🎃 👻 😈 Why, yes, of course you will. It's your year! Can't you feel it? I just know it. I know it! sleepingbooty --- I LOVE that autumn-themed planner! It took me a while to figure out the cup of coffee. So cute! But you did NOT buy it, did you? I absolutely did NOT buy that planner cover set. It is absolutely NOT in the mail, travelling somewhere between the Netherlands and Provence. I'm absolutely NOT super excited to have it in my hands soon. I did NOT already start cutting into paper bags and printing the first couple of stories to fit this planner format. My kit's coming together nicely! SB.com stuff showed up today and then a package of film strip diecuts from etsy were delivered after I took photos. Looking marvellous, jenna ! I love-love-love your holographic vibes. That big moon die-cut you made looks gorgeous! This gal cracks me up! Anddd, her dog is soo cute! A fellow Jade the Libra fan! She's the reason I envy the US so much. American Halloween is way too dangerous for my minimalist self! I'd en up burried under a load of spooky crap in no time. Socks are purchased, Eleven outfit is complete for my son's Halloween costume. I found a home with creepy Halloween decorations. I think I'll throw photos of that in there Aww, that sounds like a great costume. You should absolutely add your creepy Halloween house find to your album. I love documenting local treasures...

Ok - anyone do October daily, but not really big all things Halloween vibe? My kids are older and I love October and all the Halloweenish colors but my stories are not going to be Halloween related so I’m just wondering if anyone out there has done one like that?
