Those are so fun and bright refugeepea I ran out of steam when I realized that, once again, I had left it too late to be making Halloween cards for my shop. It was too late for donating them too. I really need to be better about scheduling my crafting 2-3 months ahead of the actual season. I managed to send a couple of dozen cards out to friends though. I have a Halloween set of sheetload cards to finish up that will use up most of the cool DCWV paper pad I bought last year, so I guess I'll be 11 months ahead of the game for next year.

That right there is amazing! These are for my son's teacher and all the other people that work with him. I make them super simple.
Do you do the sheetload ideas from Kristie Marcotte?

Do you do the sheetload ideas from Kristie Marcotte? I have some friends with October birthdays so that helped get me motivated to get cards in the mail. Once I got started and figured out that I didn't have to write them all proper letters (or even much more than a sentence) I got through it fairly quickly. I do follow Kristie although I don't often use her sketches. The sheetload sketch is from Call Me Crafty Al. azcrafty posts a link to it on the card board every month but if you subscribe to her YT channel you can download a free printable that guides you through turning a couple of sheets of paper into 6-12 cards. It's very doable if you like making sets of cards and have the patience/diligence to follow instructions which I often don't.

Checking in on your guys' progress!
How's October been? Happy/sad for it to be over? I've kind of fallen off the wagon of caring π
With Christmas movies beginning on Hallmark and my mom being hospitalized (again!) this past Monday I'm super ready to skip the next few weeks until Christmas decor is ~acceptable~ to have out lol. ..although I bought a bunch of cute pumpkin stuff this year that I'm definitely forcing myself to keep it out through Thanksgiving π
I need to take pictures of decorations and crafty things I did this month, but then I think I'm done. I have a handful of printed photos to scrap but I think I'm over the spooks.

Iβve done pretty good in my memory planner keeping current. I used the 6x6 doodlebug pumpkin spice pad for my accents and the matching enamel stickers. I really had fun using it even though itβs not my normal style.

And IMO no problem with enjoying the pumpkin things and moving some Christmas in too. My October has been a bit exhausting and I'm fine with not having done any kind of project except making some cards. The weather has been crappy and we haven't done much that's notable. I haven't even gotten around to decorating beyond the small spooky tree I put on the mantel at the beginning of the month.

Happy Halloween fellow peas! I know what you are thinking. You're a day off, but Trick or Treating happens today. An unspoken rule if Halloween falls on a Sunday, you do it Saturday because...Mormons.π Have no fear, I will have treats ready (and extra) for those who didn't know tomorrow. May I present to you Eleven. Total luck he did that finger to the nose like it was about to bleed.π€£ It was dress up day at his school yesterday.

He has an amazing collection of vintage halloween memorabilia displayed throughout his home. youtu.be/NCT0G91hcewHere in Australia the holiday has been gathering momentum each year so I've got a small stash of chocolate bars ready incase covid isn't enough to keep the kids away

I hadn't decorated outside, totally lazy this year, but I just pulled out my small rusty cauldron, a teal bucket of stickers and erasers (allergy friendly), and opened the box of mini potato chips. One bag ripped open as I cut the box open so I had to eat that and stash a couple of my fav flavor. I strung some purple lights in the window and called it good π€·π»ββοΈ I also got our house on the local Fbk group trick or treating map, fwiw. I think 7 other people are on the map, but our neighbors have lots of decorations and a bright orange candy chute so we'll probably get some kids regardless.
It looked like a lot of places were doing their trunk or treat events tonight but even last year we had a half dozen visitors. And this year we have the rarest PNW Halloween of all - no need for a raincoat over your costume!
