Well, on the flip side, it’ll save the taxpayers a ton of $$$ if it is his remains that have been found.

I just heard they found “human remains” close by where they found his stuff. Sad. I wanted him to face what he did to Gaby.

A one minute conference.

I want him dead but if he’s dead Gabby’s parents will never have the answers they want so badly. ☹️

Wow-these new developments shock me. Things still sound fishy to me. I won't believe those remains are his until they are declared to be his by the coroner. I hope they aren't. I want him to pay for what he has done to Gabby and I want justice for Gabby's family. 

Was this in that huge park near his parent's home that is swampy? If his parents could lead the police right where his belongs were (yes I know it was underwater) then why didn't they show the police that area on the map weeks ago? At least the general area? Why wait and wait and let the public pay day after day for the searching? Also why buy the camper top for their pickup and go to that camping park at all? Who as parents would go off on a camping trip when their son is missing? 

How would a notebook have survived intact if it was under water for a month? (Or even 1 hour, for that matter)

There is so much that I simply don’t understand about today’s news/findings - understanding that they may be purposefully withholding information. ☹️

Most hikers I know carry almost everything in some sort of waterproof bag -  stuffsacks, packliners or even ziplock bags. REI even has waterproof journals and notebooks.

Call me cynical and having seen too many movies but if there are remains and they think it is him, I hope they are able to prove it it him. I don't want to think he faked his own death and is drinking mai tais somewhere on a beach. 

In this day and age, and with him only being missing a month, won’t they be able to prove it is (or isn’t) him through DNA? I haven’t heard any mention of fire or the body being dissolved with chemicals…if that is even entirely possible. I thought fire, hot and long enough, could turn body to ash and destroy DNA. The chemical thing is probably from a book  . Of course, just because they didn’t mention a fire doesn’t mean there wasn’t evidence of one.

I believe that they can. In any case, there will be dental records.

I wonder if the notebook will yield anything. I’m glad he’s dead but I sure wish Gabby’s family had better closure

I have watched too many tv dramas and in my imagination, maybe the dental records are fake and now he is “officially” dead and can live out the rest of his life in Mexico. Just odd how his parents knew where to go and found the items.

Ok, in reality, I believe those are his remains. But, just sad that he won’t face a trial and we won’t get answers.

Friends and I were discussing this today. If Laundrie’s parents had cooperated from the beginning, the police/authorities most likely would have taken him into custody before his disappearance. He would have gone to trial, but who really knows what the outcome would have been. Maybe jail time, maybe death row, or maybe tossed out on a technicality. But, he would have been on suicide watch and would still be alive today.

Instead, they stonewalled from the beginning and apparently supported Brian in making himself unhelpful and unavailable to the authorities. He left. And now he is dead and they will NEVER see him again.

Given the choice of having my child in police custody, but alive, or dead, I’d choose the former. They will have to live with ramifications of all their crappy choices in this tragedy.
