I’m having to repeatedly confess some very unChristlike thoughts toward him and his parents and this new development. He took the coward’s way out and now his parents have a taste of what they helped him put Gabby’s parents through.

Wow what a mess - I do wonder what his parents knew when and with hindsight...

The timeline is starting to get harder for me to remember with all the details that came out. Is it possible he lied to them when he got home and at this point the lies were plausible so they kept quiet and let him escape. After he was gone the details of the 911 call came out and other details that made them realize he was lying to them? Was the 911 information released before or after he disappeared.
I saw on tik tok today a lady saying the only way she is happy with this outcome was if he died by a boa constrictor and then was partially ate by an alligator. I admit I feel that too.

As much as I wanted him to stand trial and have to look in the eyes of Gabby's parents, if this truly is his body, then I hope the gators got him.

I'm very late to this thread (skipped being online totally yesterday due to a migraine) and just got back online now and read that the FBI have identified the remains as being Brain Landrie. I am very surprised and I must say feeling disappointed for Gabby's family that he took the cowards way out and they are now left without justice.
I only hope it was a gator that got him (like Keira mentioned) and that he suffered a lot of terror and pain before he died. Maybe when the full autopsy comes out we'll know the exact cause of death.

So far there's only a partial skull, so we don't know if there will be an autopsy yet. There's nothing to work with as far as Ive heard. Sorry you had another migraine. This the season!! I seem to have one every morning. The Maxalt is kinda working & I got a 3 month renewal (90 pills).

I'm so glad the Maxalt is still working for you and that you got a 3 month supply renewed.

I read several days ago that it was the exact location the parents first told law enforcement to look for him but it was underwater until a couple days ago. I admit to being confused about how/why the water levels fluctuate that much if it's not related to tides.

That's on the police and their decisions on how to search though-not on the parents.

That would probably be hard to see underwater in those conditions. I don't know about the backpack and notebook though. The continued references to the notebook also confuse me because if it was underwater, wouldn't the pages have disintegrated? The details are definitely confusing.

The notebook and backpack were not in the water. They were supposedly near the swampy area (gotta love FL--it's one big swamp). I heard that he had a waterproof bag to keep his notebook and bag in. It's again STRANGE that his parents go into the park, walk for 30 min (from the entry point of where his car was parked before) and then find him. They were with an FBI agent, BUT, if you see the footage, his dad just wandered into the brush where he found the items. Just very strange! Why didn't the professionals find these items before his parents did? I know that the swamp was chest-deep with water and then it dried out which was how his items were spotted, but WHY didn't the dogs catch the scent?? Why didn't anyone from the FBI or even local police continue to search that one area, where they were previously told that he used to go to? Why did Mrs. Laundrie enter the park with a BIG backpack, seemingly full??? I could understand if she brought a ton of water to drink, but it looked strange. Hope we'll find out the answers.
As the Laundrie family attorney speaks more and more, he continues to let more be known. His inexperience with criminal matters is really apparent and he just sounds like a dufus in general! LOVED that Ashley Banfield said something to him about how this matter differs greatly from handling a real estate matter. Ha!

About the swamp being chest-deep with water: In Fl, September is still part of the "rainy season". (In reality, it rains here for about 7 mos out of the year!!). Swamps and roads fill up with water, but due to the heat it usually dries right back up. A swamp is different. It stays moist and wet for much longer.
The amount of water in the swamp had nothing to do with the tide, etc. It's just due to the normal rains here and then it has nowhere to go and takes a while to dry out.

My one and only experience with K9 dogs was they could not pick up a scent during/after a rain storm. The scent literally is washed away. These were Border Patrol search and rescue dogs and I'm not clear what was used in the search for Laundrie and how much it rained between him going into the Reserve and the family reporting him missing.

I'm so glad the Maxalt is still working for you and that you got a 3 month supply renewed. I don't know if this will help you all, but it helped me A LOT. When my son was growing up, I had migraines so much, like about 30 to 40% of the time. My doctor at the time tried all sorts of drugs, none of which would work very long, and all of which took a toll on my body. Then (THANK GOD) he retired and I got a new doctor who told me to lay off the sodium...and I can't remember the last time I had a migraine. I started my tracking my sodium in myfitnesspal.com, keeping my daily total under 2500 mg, now I know what I can and can not eat. Sadly, more than four slices of dill pickles is out. I don't miss the sodium, and I feel so much better. Anyway, I hope this helps somebody.
Edited to add: if your doctor advises otherwise, definitely follow his/her advice...I didn't go to medical school but this helped me so much I felt compelled to share.
Now back to your regularly scheduled thread. TBH, I thought they found the complete skeleton of BL.

From what I've read and heard there are specific search and rescue dogs that scent the air. There are other S&A dogs that can detect human scent underwater-usually dogs are in a boat when this is done and they are scenting the water below them. Then there are the tracking dogs that track a scent from an item of the lost person and use the air that way.

Thank you so much for this suggestion. I've been seeing an amazing Integrative Medicine doctor for several years and he's the kind of doctor that treats the whole body rather than just focusing on one issue. I have MTHFR (which is 2 defective genes and adrenal insufficiency. Because of this my doctor told me I need the sodium. He does an extensive blood work panel on me each year. He told me to salt my food not with Morton's but with Redmond Sea Salt which has minerals in it. I don't each much processed food and that is where a lot of sodium is hiding (a TON!). I wish I could try your suggestion but I think for myself it's best to stick with what my doctor says. I've been very lucky. I used to get 25 migraines a month but since my also amazing Neurologist suggested to me 3 years ago to consider trying medical marijuana I've been able to get that number down to 8 a month-just by using the medical marijuana! It's not cheap but me it's worth the price of gold not to have all of the pain.

I’ve been following this closely for months now. I have to say that LE have really dropped the ball on several occasions inc stating they knew where Brian was AFTER the family attorney told the FBI that Brian left the home on Monday 11th and hadn’t returned . They let him heave the property without keeping tabs on him . Their attorney has been all sorts of questionable as well . Maybe I’ve misunderstood the way your system works, but he’s been representing the family even though he’s primarily a real estate attorney and licensed in New York or New Jersey . They are in Florida . He’s misspoke several times as well, causing further confusion.
I have so much respect for Gabby’s family who have been incredibly dignified and have shown such unity and love towards one another .
This and the Summer Wells case cause me a lot of anxiety when I’m trying to get to sleep!

I went to engineering school, not medical school. And in fact, my doctor told me that some people are sodium sensitive, which would lead me to believe that not all people are sodium sensitive. I only mentioned it because it totally changed my life for the better.

Not sure if this was for me or for birukitty, but I actually show up as LOW in sodium #s on my bloodwork. My PCP encourages me to add some tablesalt on my own plate of food. I never add salt to my cooking. I make up for it with good herbs and sometimes wine that burns off. Doesn't need sodium. THANK YOU for the word of advice!! I kinda wish I drank coffee to help when I have a migraine, but I don't drink anything other than bottled water and seltzer (no sodium); that's it! I've cut out tons of foods that either upset my stomach (I have GI and esophogus issues). My main issue is that when my migraines begin, I don't want ANY food for the day and it's tough to even get water in (Thanks to the Peas, I got that Liquid IV, and that's helped this month tremendously!!). Thank you again. Sorry for sidetracking the BL/GP story.

I thought I read that one of their relatives was a LE or used to be, there in Florida. That would make so much more sense. A corrupt police force is more normal than not. And if not, then the North Port police are a bunch of idiots.

Thanks for the update. So he took the coward's way out. At first when his remains were found I was in total shock but the more and more I think about it lately it makes more sense. He knew there was a strong likelihood of getting caught and I guess for him killing himself was preferable than facing years in prison. I hope he is enjoying hell.

I’ve closely followed this and I’m still not convinced he didn’t kill those other two woman in Moab. I always thought he had a gun, and I suspected he unalived himself with it. I think he’s always been a suspect for 3 murders which would explain the massive manhunts. Hope the truth comes out. Whatever that may be.

Disappointed it wasn't an alligator. Although, I suppose they could still have had some of his parts for lunch.
