The Teri Hatcher x James Denton was already done by Hallmark several years ago (minus the kids) and I've been thinking about that one since I saw A Kiss Before Christmas. Off to the deep sea I go to find it again... If anyone's interested, it stars Nikki DeLoach and Andrew Walker and is called A Dream of Christmas: They're always good together! A slightly bigger dose of real life than most Hallmark movies offer, despite the magical wish trope. The happily ever after part is hard, ya know...

Not me hoping Hallmark put Nikki and Andrew in another Christmas movie soon. They pull off whatever script so effortlessly. And yes, the long run is not an easy run. I love the saccharine madness of Hallmark movies but it's nice to have a bit of reality injected here and there. DeLoach also did Cranberry Christmas which was actually about a couple married for many years on the brink of separation. It was a quiet but relatable movie.

Thanks for all these!
I wrote them all down and am at 14.
My plan is to read the little synopsis and decide which 4 to cut. If I can't cut, I'll have to shell out some cash.
We already have netflix, amazon, and PBS. Just cancelled Hulu but might try to get it again at $2 per month using a different email and credit card. Oh, I forgot we have Discovery+ because we need all that HGTV. We will put that on hold when we start up Disney+ again. And I will cancel Prime after the holidays.

None of my suggestions are really worth paying for tbh... I totally feel your pain. Too many + channels, too little time and money!

Oh, I don't like ANYTHING with Alicia Witt in it! Sorry, I saw that suggested up thread. I'd remove from your list. lol I love any that have a military theme. You MUST watch USS Christmas. The lead is dreamy. In fact, I'm gonna put it on again right now.

Ok yall I'm super excited for the Sister Swap movies The first one is tomorrow and then the other is on the 12th. IRL sisters Ashley Williams and Kimberly Williams-Paisley have been trying to get this movie made for a while now. One follows Kimberly's characters pov and then the other follows Ashleys during the same time frame. Ashley has talked about it on some podcasts where the same scene could be happening in her movie as was her sisters but you get a slightly different view and hear a different conversation..or a continuation of one. Also Andrew and Nikki are always a delight together! blemon depending on how often you guys watch each service you could rotate them. A month of hulu, a couple months of Netflix, Disney+ when something big comes out, etc.

I finished Elves last night and honestly, it didn't live up to my expectations. It started out ok but the family it is centered around are irritating. They are told the locals don't cut down trees in the forest for Christmas, so the next day they go and cut one down anyway. They are given all sorts of warnings, but don't listen. The daughter is particularly unlikeable. I just couldn't get on board with the way it all played out.

Watched quite a few new ones today..
First was Christmas in Tahoe and.. meh. I dislike Laura Osnes after her antivax bs but love Kyle Selig from his time in Mean Girls on bway. The movie was boring to me..and so many moments looked like the backgrounds were paintings -- it was distracting.
Next was the CCB movie and it wasn't terrible! Idk the main dude but IMDB tells me he was in fuller house which meant they've already had chemistry working together and it showed.
...and his daughters name is Shia Bellatrix which has me.. hm lol
Also watched the new one tonight, a very merry bridesmaid with Emily Osment and liked it.
None of them will be rewatches or favs for me but they were good enough as something to leave on all day.

Watched Single all the Way and loved it. Put it on while I was crafting and very quickly it had my full attention. It's exactly what I want from my holiday movies. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just hopping in because I'm 20 minutes into The Eight Gifts of Hanukkah and it's really good so far. Hallmark dropped the ball big time with their Hanukkah movies the past couple of years in my opinion but they are making up for it. Sounds like this one is headed for a scenario resembling that of My Christmas Love which I have a major soft spot for so I'm in heaven... Also, if you're a Lucifer fan, that's Eve starring in the main role. Yep, the spunky and talented Inbar Lavi has entered the Hallmark-verse and I'm here for it! God, she gives me such hair envy.Update: I approve! It is a very good Hallmark holiday romance. Go for it. It has some twists in the final part that felt empowering for the lead which I especially appreciated. This is a winner in the BFF-to-lovers trope. Not quite Netflix levels good but very enjoyable. I'd happily rewatch this one next year.

We watched a ton this weekend while crafting. They were background noise while we made cards, scrapbooked, crafted etc.
I was still in movie mode after my friend left. I watched Five More Minutes. One of the best hallmark movies I have watched.

IRL sisters Ashley Williams and Kimberly Williams-Paisley have been trying to get this movie made for a while now. Same. They look good. I am fond of Brad Paisley because even though I do not like country music (aside from Queen Dolly), Brad is from WV and he really does a lot for the state (not as much as Jennifer Garner but I'll take it). Plus Kimberly is cute and seems like a genuinely nice person. I watched Last Christmas late night and holy heck that was good. Paul Feig directed it and he's amazing so I had really high hopes going into it. The lead actress played in SOLO and she is just incredible. I'm not ready for my Hallmark free trial so I'm still going through the other posts and searching for movies on other networks.

Last night I watched Santa Girl on Netflix and it was good.
Bad title but I enjoyed it. I found another one that I'm going to watch tonight.
Will start Hallmark Wednesday or Thursday. I have my 7 days planned!

I'm going to continue with my holiday movies posts.
Last night I watched the Dolly movie on Netflix. It was perfectly Dolly and I loved it.
Today I started my free Hallmark NOW movie trial and it is by no means Hallmark NOW. It's whatever the heck crap Hallmark wants to throw out NOW. Not a single one of the movies on my list were available to watch so I am SO GLAD I didn't shell out any cash for that. I will likely cancel before the 7 days are up. I'll have to find that other site you were all talking about.
I was so excited that we had a snow day today (well my daughter did so I took the day off). We wrapped presents and had grand plans to watch the Nine Lives of Christmas. After 30 minutes of dealing with getting it on the TV and signed in, NO MOVIE. None from the list.
So I decided to search for cat movies (again nothing). Then I settled on Marrying Mr. Darcy since it was suggested when the Pemberley movie didn't show up. We were more than halfway through before I realized it wasn't a xmas movie. The names Darcy and Lizzie, and him being rich with a mean old aunt and lovely younger sister were about the only similarities to my beloved Pride and Prejudice. I really can only tolerate this sap if it's holiday related so I'm shooting blanks today.
Off to work on my DD.
If there is anything decent on Hallmark NOW, please let me know before December 15.

I got Frndly the $7.99 / month one . You can record movies and just fast forward the commercials. They play the new movies all the time so its easy enough to record them. I made the same mistake last year started the Hallmark NOW and couldn't watch anything new.

I’m so enjoying the Hallmark holiday movie experience this year! Real life is a doozy right now, so having some nonsense to escape into has been nice.
I’ve been catching up on lots of older ones and watching some of the newer ones, too. I finally watched Crashing Through the Snow today. Cute! Amy Acker can be hit or miss to me, but I enjoyed her in this one.

Baking Spirits Bright on Lifetime is dreadful. Romantic leads have no chemistry, story is weak, supporting characters are annoying.

I just watched One Night in December on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and really, really enjoyed it. Peter Gallagher is one of my faves, and he was really good in it. The storyline took a twist I didn't expect. Really worthwhile to watch, IMO. I also thought Crashing Through The Snow was really cute - it's from July but they're rerunning it now. I loved Eight Gifts of Hanukkah - Craig (Jake Epstein) from Degrassi is a favourite of mine. I don't know how I feel about Nantucket Noel - I like the leads, but something just fell flat for me, I guess. And I agree with @gina - no Alicia Witt, I think she's a terrible actress and she often has these silly voices or faces, like really immature. I can't watch her. Oh, I don't like ANYTHING with Alicia Witt in it!

If there is anything decent on Hallmark NOW, please let me know before December 15. I think it should have "Every Time a Bell Rings" with Erin Cahill and Wes Brown. It was billed as a Hallmark Movies Now exclusive last month, but it was on HM&M Sunday night. It features three estranged adopted sisters coming together for Christmas a couple years after their dad passed away, doing a scavenger hunt he set up for a Christmas wishing bell one last time. It has a bunch of diversity (like Hallmark was trying to make up for years of non diverse movies all at once). With the adoption story, one sister tries to find her birth mom. Another sister is Asian, and she is married to a Black man, and their plot revolves around having children. The third sister (Ali Liebert) is recovering from the loss of her business and a breakup with her girlfriend. She has a meet cute of her own. It is also set in Mississippi, so no snow, but lots of jackets for the "cold"! I could possibly see a sequel based on the way the movie ended.

A Very Merry Bridesmaid is mostly very meh. No chemistry between the leads. The male lead, Casey Deidreick, was so freakin' flat. I felt like they filmed his scenes right after he woke up from an afternoon nap or something. It isn't bad in itself (nor is it good) so if you like to Hallmark & scrap without much distraction, this movie should be fine. Otherwise, big time skip.
AND CAN HALLMARK STOP ROMANTICISING SPOUSES BUYING HOUSES WITHOUT TELLING THEIR SOON-TO-BE/ALREADY MARRIED PARTNERS? It's not cute. You need to sit down together, consider the finances and the impact of particular house, pore over the energy bills and cost of renovations, etc. Finances are one of the top two causes leading to marriage breakdown and divorce.
