Yeah, I stand by it. Decent people are upset by this decision. Only magats like you think justice is being served here. I guess having the feeling that you’ll always be on the side that comes out on top of things like this, gives you the right to expressions of vile schadenfreude? 🤷🏼♀️ I'm not sure if you think I have the schadenfreude or she does. I assure you, there is no joy in me today.

My comment was clearly directed at Merge. It had nothing to do with Rittenhouse and everything to do with Merge being triggered. Yep, being mad about a murderer going free - and being mad at the people who think that's all super cool - is pretty funny. Ha ha. Specifically it was that you accused someone else of being triggered when you were also triggered, ironic.

Kyle isn’t my hero and he shouldn’t even have been there. But he was there, and he clearly defended himself. The jury is correct that it was self defense. He wasn’t on trial for bad judgement or being in the wrong place. Was it self defense? That was the question. The question has been answered. It’s just not that complicated. Follow the law. This case is based on the laws of the state of Wisconsin.

The thing is, justice was served. The jury said so. This decent person knows justice was served. As I said upthread, the law and justice are not the same thing in this case. And if you're joyful about this decision, you are the opposite of a decent person. Typical putting words in people’s posts. Where did I say joyful, happy, elated, etc. I said justice was served and the jury made the decision. And yes, I consider myself a decent person. What’s wrong with that???

CindiOsha appears to be another one I’ve blocked, lol. Id forgotten why, but it’s quite clear why now.

Two people are dead. I fail to see how anything here is hilarious. Even if you agree with the verdict, two people are dead. And I'm disappointed to see cindosha with a laughing emoji on your thread as well. I haven't taken any position on the trial, not having watched it, actively avoiding it. But hilarious and laughter? Wow. Not sure where you saw a laugh emoji on my post but whatever. Still looking for that laugh emoji. Can you point it out to me please?

It's this kind of thing that pushes me further and further away from the Republican party (that I actively worked for and voted for). I understand you aren't in on what she said because she deleted it but I'm not going to explain it to you either. Ask Merge.

Will he be on Hannity and/or Tucker as early as tonight? Monday, for sure. Before he heads to his new job as a Congressional aide. Unfortunately, he should go back to school and not get involved with.... They are now "drawing straws" for him... Gaetz, Gosar and Cawthorn...

I'm not shocked at all - I think the prosecution over reached. I feel like over and over again these high profile cases are lost before they start based on the charges. The prosecution wants to respond to understandable outrage and ends up handing yet another loss of ANY punishment. Article specifically discussing decision on using charges that allowed self defense argument: www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/explainer-could-jury-weigh-lesser-charges-for-rittenhouse

I agree. It was the correct verdict. Is it the correct verdict if you factor in the drone footage the jury wasn't allowed to see? I thought the drone footage was shown during closing arguments - or is there additional drone footage?

I agree. It was the correct verdict. Is it the correct verdict if you factor in the drone footage the jury wasn't allowed to see? You mean the drone video that prosecution said showed Rittenhouse pointing his rifle at someone (presumably Ziminski)? The jury watched that twice. Once prior to closing arguments, and again during the 2nd day of deliberations.

They need to balance a sense of community outrage with what they can actually prove beyond reasonable doubt, and it seems at times in these highly visible cases they get the balance wrong. I’m thinking Casey Anthony case here. Does not mean justice was served. But being found guilty on *something* would’ve been a marginally better outcome for the prosecution I would think.

That whole trial was sh*t show. Between the incompetent prosecution and the judge's bizarre behavior, there was no way for this to turn out in a way that seemed just to everyone. I don't think the kid should have to go to prison based on what we know, but the weapons charge shouldn't have been dropped either.

Once prior to closing arguments, and again during the 2nd day of deliberations. It was my understanding that they couldn’t see the HD version because the defense hasn’t had it during discovery. Sorry if I misunderstood that.

I wouldn't count on Merge to explain something with anything that resembles the reality of what took place. She seems to be trying to break a record or something between her and another pea in how much they can restate what was actually said into some version that no longer resembles anything close to what was said in reality in order to argue with the non reality version.

I said that she and any Rittenhouse supporter could go fuck themselves and I hope they rot. You can go ahead and assume I meant you, too, Gia.
