I haven't done anything in my 2022 PL album since the beginning of October as I was focusing on completing 2019. I'm in the market for a new monthly PL kit and was planning on doing the Stories by the month kit from AE instead of the regular story kit but with the changes now I'm not so sure. I might consider SC but would love to find other options as well.

Is anyone else thinking about PL 2023? I know December Daily planning is upon us, but I’m considering switching my subscription from Elles Studio to someone else, maybe Ali Edwards. I think December is when I need to do that, to get in line for a January kit. I love Elles, but now realize I have an abundance of leftover 3x4 cards from the monthly kits. I just don’t use them very often. I’ve read that Ali Edwards has shipping issues, and after being spoiled with top notch service at Elles, that will be a rough adjustment. Not sure who else offers monthly kits? I’ve been thinking about next year’s PL quite a bit. After a few years of loose monthly documentation, I’m toying with going back to a weekly format. Other monthly sub options are Paper Person and Studio Calico. I thought Scrapbook dot com was starting a PL kit of some kind, but I wasn’t interested and didn’t pay attention to it. Maybe it was a shop item. I currently sub to PP and Ali’s SK. My SK will be up after the next kit and I’m planning to cancel. 90% of SK dies not work for my PL style and there is too much piling up for me. I’m on the fence about continuing with PP. I’m really tempted to focus on busting through my stash. I’ll likely continue to pick up SC kits here and there.

I'm trying to figure out 2023 also. I canceled AE SBTM and PP monthly kits last week because I did not love the changes to the AE kit (I used up most of the 2022 kits) and I have way too much product left over from the PP kits to justify the cost monthly. I also am debating album size/format.
Does anyone do Heidi Swapp Stop the Blur kits and or the albums? I like they idea of the smaller kits and smaller albums, but not sure about not having some easy pocket pages to work with.
Does anyone do 6x8 for PL? I was wondering if you could use the HS STB kits in a 6x8 along with "home made" and stash 3x4 and 4x6 journal cards. I was also thinking about trying a digital kit....decisions, decisions.

I currently do 12x12 but have been thinking about downsizing. I love printing free 8x10s from Walgreens, I usually have one per month. So I don’t want to go smaller than that. I love having big photos mixed in with pocket pages. Stop the blur looks like part class, but I don’t enjoy Heidis haphazard teaching style. I do love the way she mixes color in her products though!

I'm trying to figure out how to approach PL in 2023. I have never done it before, so it feels like I have a zillion decisions to make.
I'm normally a paper scrapper, but I am planning on doing project life fully digital. I'm hoping to do it weekly. That's about as much progress as I've made with the PL decisions.
My recent paper scrapbooks are all 6x8, so I'm probably going to do PL that size, too. I have been messing around doing digital layouts since around September, just trying to figure out how it works and whether I like it enough to keep going with it. On one hand, I love the immediacy of it. I also really need to do most of my journaling digitally, or I will never finish the projects I'm hoping to finish. But other than that, I have concluded that I'd rather be paper scrapping. I am starting to feel like my own art is really missing from the digital pages, so that is holding me back from wanting to go completely digital for everything. Usually, I doodle on my pages and glue on bits of collage imagery, and that is just not going to happen with my digital pages.
I started with digital in the first place because my husband and I decided that I shouldn't buy any more paper until after we move (we were hoping to move this past year, but it didn't happen). Then he relented and said he wants me to at least finish the paper albums I already had in progress, so I am back to mostly paper scrapping again.
I had been buying all my digital supplies from Katie Pertiet's site, because I love her work, her style, her creative team, the crowd at her website and her generosity with sales and freebies. But she doesn't have much of anything that's intended to be 6x8, so I am looking around at other options and trying to figure out what format I love enough to work with for a whole year. She has some 12x12 Project Life-friendly templates that I could cut down to 6x8, so that's one option I am thinking about. I just found the templates from the actual PL site today, so that's another option.
If anyone else has found amazing 6x8 templates that work for the project, please share! I'd love to see more options. Thank you!

The best time to look is around a holiday, they offered one in November, and there’s a code. You just upload your photo to the site, enter the code and pick your local store. I think someone usually posts what the code is on this board too, so if you regularly check in, you’ll see a Walgreens thread with the most recent code. I think you can also create a Walgreens account with your email, and you should be notified that way too!

I think I finally settled on the Hip Kit subscription for next year’s PL. I am a little worried that the kit has so much stuff in it, but the past kits look like there’s a variety of product I can use elsewhere.
I had sent a message to FF about when their January kit ships, but never received a response back. Not sure I want to sign up if I can’t get answers before I’m even a customer.
I didn’t see a lot of talk about HK, anyone have experience with them?

I’m thinking of switching to a Heidi swapp memory planner. I wish the current class and kit wasn’t Christmas because I want to buy it all now. I’m going to wait until the January release and then but it all.

I finished my 2021 album on Monday! COVID really did a job on my mojo. I printed almost all of my pictures for 2022. I did not keep up with what I did in my planner, it’s pretty much blank.
So now I’m making a bastardized bullet list for each month. For each day I’m notating if I took any pictures and trawling through my calendar and various apps for anything that happened. My goal is to get 2022 done quick and dirty. I’m not too precious about my albums. I went through a few of them recently and see where I have empty spots I never followed up on. I’m good with letting it go. I’d at least like to get what I have in an album for this year. I switched to 9x12 2021, so I won’t have as much real estate to fill.

I am thinking hard about this as well because I did 9x12 this year and it was 2 volumes and I don't want to take up so much room again...but I struggle with how it will go with the smaller size....

I don't want to step on any toes. But I'm getting excited about PL 2023 and I see others are too. I know sleepingbooty is still busy with DD thread, but I didn't know if she would mind if we started a new PL 2023 thread? Booty, do you mind? Do you want to start it again? If not, does anyone else want to?

I bet most of you are feeling the same excitement for a fresh start. Do we by chance have 6 PL-ers who want to lead us into 2023? Each taking on 2 months (one for each half of the year)? This could be a fun way to keep perspectives fresh and the thread alive all the way through te new year. What do you ladies think?

I like this idea, then the weight of keeping the thread going doesn't fall on you (or just one person). I'd be game to sign up for a 2 month stint, that would hopefully force me to actually finish more than January and part of February. I have 4 years of January and partial February done and would like to complete at least one album this year!

I think jeremysgirl is itching to get started so she may want to take January but February-June are wide open right now. I'm happy to take on a 2-month stint as well but I'd prefer to skip April as I'll be hosting the online spring crop. We can check back in around June to see which month of the second half of the year you're up for (or if you'd prefer someone else to take over - no pressure, life happens and I'd completely understand). Maybe a weekly or bi-weekly check-in with some progress questions or prompts would work well to get everyone's creative juices flowing? Nothing complicated or fancy, just good energy and encouragement.

I'm happy to put my name forward as well sleepingbooty. I don't do a full on traditional PL but I do like using pocket pages for my yearly memory keeping and I always enjoy reading and participating in the thread. I'm good for any months but if it helps I can take my winter/your summer as I know a lot of peas tend to gravitate towards outside activities and spend less time online.

I'm probably 90% done with 2022 PL. I've been doing this for a decade and am still trying to figure it out. I've done monthly all but one year when I did weekly. I declared I hated weekly and couldn't wait to go back to monthly. Well, now I'm not sure what to think. I don't really like having a block of an event in the PL album. I've been keeping a 6x8 for specific stories alongside PL...but it doesn't seem like enough. I need to figure out a strategy that works for the amount of pictures I take

I have November & December left to finish & the second DITL but I’m attending a retreat next weekend so that is my first priority. I started doing DD this year so I’m hoping my December PL can be abbreviated. What does everyone do?

I've been doing this for a decade and am still trying to figure it out. For me, what I want out of the project has changed over the years which has forced me to change the format I've used. I've done weekly pocket pages, made a whole lot of layouts for the year but didn't differentiate between one month and the next other than a date on the layout, 8x8 double page monthly overview, 6x8 album that holds an entire year, and a combination of several of these. Whenever I've had a bigger event, even in the years where I just create layouts with no real weekly or monthly breaks, I will put one or two layouts into my PL album which are just an overview of the event, then all the other pages I make go into a separate album. There is no magic answer for the best way and it's ok to try something, then pull it apart to try something different if it doesn't work for you.

I started doing DD this year so I’m hoping my December PL can be abbreviated. What does everyone do? I include some stories in both, but others will live in only one album. I tend to do more of an overview in my PL, so lots of the little stories will get dropped, or something that has several photos in my DD might only get one photo in my PL.
