Meanwhile, I'm a tad jealous because....I'm still waiting for my order from Simon Says Stamps to ship  On Wednesday I contacted them to inquire about the status and they said it was going out that day, but I've received no confirmation that it actually did. Oh, that is frustrating. Despite the pre-holiday warnings of shipping delays, I had no problems last fall, but everything this year has been late. An Amazon shipment took 8 days, Blick Art materials were delayed. Just now I got a notice that my Bath and Body soaps will be here on Monday when they were supposed to come today. I think not since we are supposed to have 8-12 inches of snow on Sunday. I'm not in a hurry for these but the shipping delays were even delayed! |

So I went to joanns for something else and bought a couple Valentiney type things, thinking maybe I'll use for peas cards.
Then I went home and promptly started making (very simple) the cards with all stuff I already had on hand. And not much of that either.
Did I mention they will be very simple cards?!😂 Oh, well.

I have a lot less Valentine stuff than I thought I had. I’ve pulled out all the “love” & floral supplies I have (in very non-Valentine colors) to make my cards. If there’s anyone that hates pink, I’ve got you covered! 🤣

Got the labels, thank you! I am aiming to mail them out by the first week of February if all goes as plan.
I made about 8 slim line cards today. Still not sure if I like the look of it. But excited that it fits a standard letter envelope.

Until I made all the cards with only bits of 5 sheets of 6x6 patterned paper , some white cardstock, a bit of baker's twine and the cardstock to make the basic cards to embellish. Sans the actual cards I think I could have literally held all the 'parts' in one hand. Definitely two. Stash busting, my a$$. I'm a fail.😂 |

Got the list!  ..also forgot something I really wanted from sb.com in my order.. so to make shipping seem 'worth' it I grabbed some clearance spring/easter paper and stickers. So hey if anyone finds themselves wanting some pastel overloaded cheer come April I'm your girl  |

I'm a fail.😂 Yep same here a few sheets of papered paper mostly scraps, a bit of glitter paper or shimmer trim (I did finish off a roll) and a tape runner. I am using some pink cardstock I bought from Michael’s years ago for the bases but still have a lot left. Cards don’t use much paper. I was thinking of adding embellishments but don’t like to mail bumpy cards. Still had a lot of fun die cutting and coloring. I was hoping to bash a lot with the Christmas swap and barely touched my stash lol so knew this wouldn’t help much but was thinking I didn’t have much Valentine’s Day but wrong lol. |
