I have that saved. From when I tweeted it to him when TXs power went down. I thought his constituents deserved a timely reminder of his absolute hubris.

Your periodic reminder that there aren't always two VALID sides.

Sometimes there is ONE. Sometimes there are six.

"Both sides"-ism is lazy and uninformed thinking.

Even when discussing political parties (if that's what your "sides" refers to), there are not monolithic ideas on either "side".

Please just stop w/the "both sides" nonsense.

ps - Some "sides" bring facts, data, evidence, research, to the table. Some "sides" bring beliefs or opinions or "my cousin's trainer said..."

Here is an analogy for those who just don't get it.

One person says "It's raining at lat/long 37.8136° S, 144.9631° E" right now.  One person says "No it's not. It's completely dry".

There is in fact a REALITY at that lat/long for how much precip is hitting the ground at a particular location. 

We don't have to present "both sides" on a weather report. We report REALITY - usually w/confidence levels because weather is complex and location specific.

We don't care what cousin Edgar thinks as to the precip at that location and what he feels "in his bones" or how "it was raining just a few minutes ago" or "It looks like rain".

It is either RAINING or NOT RAINING - where raining has a scientific definition - usually about precip hitting the ground in a particular location at a particular time.

If it's NOT RAINING, then it might be hailing instead, or sleeting, or snowing, or bone dry.

But there is a reality.

To pretend that all issues have TWO SIDES and only those TWO SIDES, however valid or invalid, must be presented and must be the ONLY "sides" presented is beyond ridiculous.

The mental gymnastics that you do to convince yourself that you are right and everyone else is wrong is just mind boggling to me.

As for the second, RELIGION is interpreted by by fallible humans, and many things change in religious communities depending on how it is being interpreted.  Hence the large number of different faith communities.  Just my thoughts.

Not everyone around me disagrees. If you mean here on the board, this is not representative of the rest of the world, so the echo chamber here could hardly be the deciding factor of reality.

It's not just me and my comparisons. It's been my experience, that NOTHING is comparable here because of the "mental gymnastics" constantly going on to avoid admitting ANYONE on the Left could do something wrong. Not because the comparisons are honestly so far off the mark. But whatever keep claiming it, it's becoming comical at this point.

I also DON'T care that she left her state during a crisis.
The issue is that SHE cares. But only if someone she doesn't like is doing it.

More of her hypocrisy is that she condemns the state as terrible with not having enough rules and then goes there and doesn't follow her own convictions. She was also seen in a crowded bar partying maskless, not eating or drinking and definitely not distancing, by any stretch of the imagination.
That's my opinion, since you asked me to label it. It's okay to let a different opinion stand. 

The problem isn't that he took care of his wife or that he took care of his children or even that he went to a ball game. The problem is that he mysteriously disappeared without any advance notice and when he returned, was coughing a lot and seemed unwell. The problem is that he may have been infected with covid but has not announced that. The problem is that he may have had a bad case of covid and he downplayed the seriousness of it and failed miserably at mitigation.  The problem is that he was MIA during a covid spike in his state. And a governor's responsibilities are a lot different compared to a US Representative when the House is not in session.

And if you're calling out hypocrisy, where are your posts calling out the absolute hypocrisy of almost every politician in the Republican Party?  

No Supreme Court nominations with 11 months left on a president's term, but when their party was in power it was OK to ram through a nomination with 45 days remaining?

McConnell is pitching a fit about potentially ending the filibuster and shouting about traditions.  He broke many traditions starting with refusing to hold hearings for judges, refusing to hold a hearing for a Supreme Court justice, refusing to bring up laws passed by the Democrats for a vote.

It's OK for corporations to be involved in politics, if they're donating to a Republican campaign.  However, it's not OK for corporations to be involved in politics if they're criticizing Republican voter suppression laws.

Criticize President Obama for vacations and playing golf but remain silent when Trump takes significantly more trips and plays more golf frequently while benefitting his family company at the same time.

Claim to be the party of family values but support Trump who cheated on his wives, divorced twice and bragged that his celebrity status allowed him to sexually assault women  (kiss women without their consent and grab them by their genitals).

Claim to be pro-life, but pro birth is more accurate. Vote against common sense gun laws, vote to expand gun rights, vote against helping children and families.

Vote to impeach President Clinton for lying about sex but vote against impeaching Trump for inciting an insurrection.

Constantly attack Hunter Biden but fail to call out Trump's clear nepotism.

Demonize coastal, liberal elites while holding a degree or even two from one of those elite liberal universities.

Rand Paul voted against emergency relief for natural disasters for other states but didn't hesitate to ask for it after the tornadoes in Kentucky.

16 Republicans voted against visas for Afghan interpreters but criticized Biden for not doing everything possible to help get them out.

Claim to be the party of smaller government, but big government is OK if it imposes your values.  Texas abortion law, NH divisive concepts bill and other states like Idaho and Tennessee trying to control what educators can teach, banning vaccine mandates, banning mask mandates in schools

Republicans shouting about the debt or being fiscally conservative but only when they're the minority.  Democrats are reckless for trying to pass the American Rescue Plan but when Republicans are in power, it's OK to pass unfunded tax cuts that cost the same amount.  

Vote against the American Rescue Plan or the infrastructure plan but try to take credit for it.

Vote to raise the debt ceiling if you're the majority party but obstruct, vote against and play chicken if you're the minority party.

Shout about bipartisanship but only when you're the minority party.  Don't make any efforts at bipartisanship if you're in the majority.

After 11 investigations into Benghazi and millions of dollars, vote against a committee to investigate the Jan 6 insurrection.

After the Democrats concede to every one of your demands, vote against a bipartisan committee to investigate the Jan 6 insurrection.  Then complain the committee is a witch hunt and partisan.

My body my choice if it applies to masks or vaccines but not a woman's body.

Accuse the Democrats of being weak on crime, claim to be the party of law & order.  The Trump supporting insurrectionists yelled f%ck the blue on Jan 6.  Republicans insulted the Capitol police officers who bravely defended and protected them.  Rewrite history and downplay the violence, its just an ordinary day with tourists.

Fox News Hosts texting Trump to call off the rioters, but hours later falsely claiming, without any evidence that it was antifa or Democrats in disguise.

Republicans have happily attacked Cuomo for sexual harassment but fail to call out their own members like Matt Gaetz.

Call out the Republicans for their hypocrisy, then maybe we can talk about AOC.

I'm not suggesting the Democrats are perfect and never guilty of hypocrisy.  But I'm not going to lose any sleep over AOC's potential hypocrisy in tweets.  I'm just tired of Democrats getting held to a higher standard.
