I never suggested that DeSantis possibly having covid was anything other than an opinion, guess or speculation. DeSantis going to a ball game isn’t a problem, it’s just inconsistent with his excuse that he was taking care of his family. His sudden disappearance without any communication or advance notice is curious. But, go ahead and continue to defend him.
If Cruz is the only Republican you’re willing to criticize after I posted a long list of Republicans guilty of hypocrisy, I’m not interested in a discussion about DeSantis or AOC. But, you might want to examine your own hypocrisy before you call out AOC.

The problem isn't that he took care of his wife or that he took care of his children or even that he went to a ball game. The problem is that he mysteriously disappeared without any advance notice and when he returned, was coughing a lot and seemed unwell. The problem is that he may have been infected with covid but has not announced that. The problem is that he may have had a bad case of covid and he downplayed the seriousness of it and failed miserably at mitigation. The problem is that he was MIA during a covid spike in his state. And a governor's responsibilities are a lot different compared to a US Representative when the House is not in session. And if you're calling out hypocrisy, where are your posts calling out the absolute hypocrisy of almost every politician in the Republican Party? No Supreme Court nominations with 11 months left on a president's term, but when their party was in power it was OK to ram through a nomination with 45 days remaining? McConnell is pitching a fit about potentially ending the filibuster and shouting about traditions. He broke many traditions starting with refusing to hold hearings for judges, refusing to hold a hearing for a Supreme Court justice, refusing to bring up laws passed by the Democrats for a vote. It's OK for corporations to be involved in politics, if they're donating to a Republican campaign. However, it's not OK for corporations to be involved in politics if they're criticizing Republican voter suppression laws. Criticize President Obama for vacations and playing golf but remain silent when Trump takes significantly more trips and plays more golf frequently while benefitting his family company at the same time. Claim to be the party of family values but support Trump who cheated on his wives, divorced twice and bragged that his celebrity status allowed him to sexually assault women (kiss women without their consent and grab them by their genitals). Claim to be pro-life, but pro birth is more accurate. Vote against common sense gun laws, vote to expand gun rights, vote against helping children and families. Vote to impeach President Clinton for lying about sex but vote against impeaching Trump for inciting an insurrection. Constantly attack Hunter Biden but fail to call out Trump's clear nepotism. Demonize coastal, liberal elites while holding a degree or even two from one of those elite liberal universities. Rand Paul voted against emergency relief for natural disasters for other states but didn't hesitate to ask for it after the tornadoes in Kentucky. 16 Republicans voted against visas for Afghan interpreters but criticized Biden for not doing everything possible to help get them out. Claim to be the party of smaller government, but big government is OK if it imposes your values. Texas abortion law, NH divisive concepts bill and other states like Idaho and Tennessee trying to control what educators can teach, banning vaccine mandates, banning mask mandates in schools Republicans shouting about the debt or being fiscally conservative but only when they're the minority. Democrats are reckless for trying to pass the American Rescue Plan but when Republicans are in power, it's OK to pass unfunded tax cuts that cost the same amount. Vote against the American Rescue Plan or the infrastructure plan but try to take credit for it. Vote to raise the debt ceiling if you're the majority party but obstruct, vote against and play chicken if you're the minority party. Shout about bipartisanship but only when you're the minority party. Don't make any efforts at bipartisanship if you're in the majority. After 11 investigations into Benghazi and millions of dollars, vote against a committee to investigate the Jan 6 insurrection. After the Democrats concede to every one of your demands, vote against a bipartisan committee to investigate the Jan 6 insurrection. Then complain the committee is a witch hunt and partisan. My body my choice if it applies to masks or vaccines but not a woman's body. Accuse the Democrats of being weak on crime, claim to be the party of law & order. The Trump supporting insurrectionists yelled f%ck the blue on Jan 6. Republicans insulted the Capitol police officers who bravely defended and protected them. Rewrite history and downplay the violence, its just an ordinary day with tourists. Fox News Hosts texting Trump to call off the rioters, but hours later falsely claiming, without any evidence that it was antifa or Democrats in disguise. Republicans have happily attacked Cuomo for sexual harassment but fail to call out their own members like Matt Gaetz. Call out the Republicans for their hypocrisy, then maybe we can talk about AOC. I'm not suggesting the Democrats are perfect and never guilty of hypocrisy. But I'm not going to lose any sleep over AOC's potential hypocrisy in tweets. I'm just tired of Democrats getting held to a higher standard. Well pixiechick I for one would to like to hear what you have to say about this. She is pretty accurate describing the new Republicans. You are quick to criticize the Democrats but I wonder if you fully comprehend the damage the the new Republican Party is doing to this country.

And pixiechick let’s don’t forget this little stunt pulled by Republican officials in 7 states where they made forged copies of Electoral Certificates showing trump won the election when in fact Joe Biden not only won in those states but the elections had been certified. And these individuals in at least two states sent the forged documents to DC. Care to comment?

because of the "mental gymnastics" constantly going on to avoid admitting ANYONE on the Left could do something wrong Then you haven't been paying attention. Lots of ANYONES on the left have castigated those on the left who do wrong. For example, go back and read the Cuomo threads, or the Franken ones. Get a grip. We're not the ones who defend "grabbing by the pussy."

Very few, if any acknowledgements that Gorsuch might have made a mistake before the transcript was corrected. Just suggestions that he might have been talking worldwide deaths which didn’t make any sense in that context. Or even in this thread, criticism of AOC from the left for her response on Twitter. Or criticism of Biden for the Afghanistan withdrawal. Or criticism of the Biden administration for the testing shortage.

It doesn't mean it's inconsistent with taking care of his wife and kids. I also don't feel obligated to respond to your expanded list of whataboutisms in order to have an honest discussion. I agreed with the last whataboutism and you dismissed it as meaningless, so why bother. You can't seem to honestly discuss without constantly moving the goalposts and ever expanding lists of whataboutisms for me (or whoever) to jump through hoops for. You don't seem to want an honest discussion, you seem to want conformity.

You can't seem to honestly discuss without constantly moving the goalposts and ever expanding lists of whataboutisms for me (or whoever) to jump through hoops for. You don't seem to want an honest discussion, you seem to want conformity. Nope. I don’t really care what DeSantis did or didn’t do, except for his noticeable absence and lack of communication. He was MIA for a few weeks and AOC wasn’t wrong to call that out. She wasn’t the only one. His sudden disappearance, lack of advance notice, lack of communication, etc raised some questions. You can refuse to see that and can continue to defend him all you want. I'm not dismissing your recognition of Ted Cruz, but he is only the tip of the iceberg in the current dishonest, hypocritical, unethical Republican Party. You're more than willing to call out AOC for what you see as hypocrisy, but refuse to acknowledge the hypocrisy in the rest of the Republican party? You fit right in with the Republican Party. That is a perfect example of your mental gymnastics. You call out AOC for hypocrisy but fail to criticize Republicans for their outrageous blatant hypocrisy (except for Ted Cruz). Most people can agree he's not a decent human being, calling him out for obvious, well documented hypocrisy is not hard to do. I love this double standard - it's OK for you to use whataboutisms, but you object if anyone else does. My objections to most of your whataboutisms are your false comparisons, false equivalencies and false conclusions. I'm sure you could argue that some of the examples of hypocrisy that I listed are false comparisons, but somewhere in that long list, there are some fair comparisons to your criticism of AOC. There’s no point in any discussion on DeSantis, AOC, voting rights, Build Back Better, Supreme Court decisions, the Jan 6 committee or anything political if you’re not willing to recognize some of the hypocrisy in the current Republican Party. If we can’t start with the same basic set of facts, forget it.

You are the "ones" that defended and made excuses for Bill Clinton though. Make excuses for what? An affair? That's his and his wife's business. For lyiing about it? Nope. Not OK. Clinton's sex was consensual. Sexual assault, aka "grabbing by the pussy", is not.

But, like Zima said, he engaged in consensual sex with another adult. Not anywhere close to the same as what Trump bragged about doing. And Clinton was impeached for lying. About having consensual sex. Yet look at alllllllllllllllll the lying done by Trump, and those who condemned Clinton didn't feel what Trump lied about was worthy of any punishment.

Liberal peas expressed their thoughts of Bill being a piece of shit and did not defend his actions. We also were outspoken with Al Franken too. Where it didn’t apply is where republicans tried to pin his infidelity onto his wife, many years later when she was running for President. And it’s the perfect case of hypocrisy and irony all rolled up into one by pixiechick even making that statement—one only has to look as far as the republicans in congress—Jim Jordan ignoring sexual assault, Matt Faetz and sleeping and paying for sex with minors, trump and double digit sexual assaults… They only one living in that state of “conformity” and “echo chamber” are pixiechik and her conservative buds who think it’s okay to do this shit when you’re republicans.

That is exactly why I voted for George Bush the first time Clinton ran. The second time I did vote for him because I thought Bob Dole was too old. But I suspect if the Republican nominee had been younger I would have voted for him. Having said that, that whole impeachment thing was a set-up by the Republicans because Ken Starr couldn’t prove any wrong doing for the so called scandals that were swirling around Clinton. Think about it for a second. How many married men are going to truthful answer the question “are you having sexual relations with another woman”? It’s just not in their DNA.

DeathSantis doesn't take ANY Covid precautions, even when he knows that his wife supposedly has breast cancer!!! He has no problem going without a mask, speaking closely to his goons, not sanitizing the microphone or stand when he speaks, etc........... He is NOT doing all he could for his supposed ill wife, AT ALL!!!!!!!!! She's been standing next to him during these nasty, angry little outbursts he has during his "speeches". It's all filthy and unsafe, especially here in FL.

In regards to DeSantis, his latest press conference shows him out of breath and struggling to speak. Sounds like he's been sick recently. DeSantis videoHe definitely seems out of breath, even in the beginning of his speech, like he’s struggling to catch his breath. The video is from a local TV news station. This video from another local tv station shows the same thing. www.wfla.com/news/florida/desantis-florida-deo-head-to-speak-in-kissimmee/If he did have covid, I understand why he wouldn’t disclose that. I think it would look bad for his presidential bid if he was infected with covid after downplaying the seriousness and blocking mitigation measures. He’s also refused to answer the question if he received the booster. I think a lot of his latest stunts are attempts to deflect and detract from a potential illness and the 2 weeks he was MIA. Like his statement that Jan 6 is Christmas for media. apnews.com/article/coronavirus-pandemic-lifestyle-health-miami-florida-ea2f4f557acb1262621529ee1a9ad3ebIt could also just be a conspiracy theory. I’m glad I don’t live in Florida. I strongly disagree with his politics and he just seems really sleezy. Regrettably, he’s a more polished, more likeable politician than trump with lots of ambition.

I’m glad I don’t live in Florida. I strongly disagree with his politics and he just seems really sleezy. Regrettably, he’s a more polished, more likeable politician than trump with lots of ambition. was coughing a lot and seemed unwell. Still waiting for you to show where he's doing this. Based on your responses I’m guessing these only apply to people you agree with and never apply to people you disagree with... And "seemed unwell"? The thought process from the Left, when speaking of Biden seeming unwell: "Because honestly, it has nothing to do with his condition and everything to do with your frothing about politics." "Those are simply talking points." "so does this mean that you are an expert and can diagnose people from afar?" "When you post your opinions, post them along with reputable sources from professors, scientists, doctors, etc. as back up." "How do you know those YouTube videos weren’t edited? People are very good at editing videos to tell the story they want to tell instead of the real story.." "The fact is no matter how many videos you produce as your proof the only people who know for sure about his... state are his doctor and his wife and maybe close aids. Otherwise it’s pure conjecture by those who want it to be true." "Nattering talking heads are NOT "doctors, scientists, professors, etc"." "post EVIDENCE from SCIENTISTS, DOCTORS or PROFESSORS. Not news commentators who have to fill 24/7 airwaves nattering about Biden, Trump and everyone between."

The videos are not random videos posted on you tube. They're from local TV stations. Both videos show the same thing - DeSantis is clearly out of breath when he's speaking. I'm not posting this as evidence or a diagnosis. I never suggested it was anything other than my opinion, speculation and possibly a crazy conspiracy theory.
Still waiting for you to recognize hypocrisy in Republican politicians other than Cancun Cruz.
The latest? Mitch McConnell who never called out Trump for his very unpresidential statements criticized Biden for his speech earlier this week in Atlanta. He called his remarks profoundly, profoundly unpresidential and incoherent, incorrect and beneath his office. The entire situation with Stormy Daniels was embarrassing, sordid and completely beneath the office of the president. I can't think of anything more unpresidential than a president referring to his porn-star ex-girlfriend who he paid to keep their affair secret as horseface. No previous president has had their private parts described in minute detail in a book. Mitch McConnell remained silent.

The videos are not random videos posted on you tube. Neither were the videos I posted. They were not random people spouting their opinion, they were videos showing big name news people on the Left, opining about Biden's health. They're from local TV stations. So were mine. I'm not posting this as evidence or a diagnosis. I never suggested it was anything other than my opinion, speculation Neither did I. So, shall we apply those quotes, or some form of those, to your opinion that DeSantis seems unwell? And where? is DeSantis coughing a lot?

Bill Clinton's sexual assault issues. No defense here. See how easy it is to be consistent and non-hypocritical in applying the rules to pols whether you agree w/their policies or not. You try it.

Plenty here did. Apply that requirement to those people to the Left here that defended and/or excused him.

That was before my time so I have no knowledge of what "plenty here" did. I'm telling you what I say about sexual assault - Clinton's, Cuomo's, or anyone else's.
How about you do Trump's admitted sexual assault and the add'l 18-26 women who have accused him of sexual assault?
How about Matt Gaetz's alleged sex w/underage woman (women)?
Roy Moore?
Brett Kavanaugh?
Clarence Thomas?
I'll wait.

You’ll be waiting forever. She’s not about to turn in her trump card and go against her echo chamber. She’s not interested in discussing anything—she just wants to cram her opinions down your throat. She’s not here to acknowledge that republicans are fucked up hypocrites, more so than democrats because that would go against her missive of her echo chamber/group think/conformity garbage that she spews. You could prove the sky is blue, grass is green, ice is cold and she’d provide alternative facts and be a hypocrite on those too! She’ll move the goal ousts, change to topic, post irrelevant garbage and then when you stop engaging her alternative facts and untruths, she’ll claim you don’t want to discuss so she wins.
