Yet the GOP take every opportunity to defend their right for everyone and sundry to carry a gun in the US ....cause you know strict gun controls don't work  As soon as it happened that was what I was seeing posted and it’s just sickening. Seriously they have one every couple of years we have had more than there are days in the year to date. Two people were killed vs how many here daily? "Seatbelts don't work because someone got killed in a car accident and was wearing a seatbelt" argle bargle. |

I...can't quite figure out...what's wrong with his face. He looks off. In the first pic of him, I think he looks like an anime figure or a Disney character in a way. Really wide set eyes, heart shaped face, etc. The tattoos and needing a hair cut and shave look a little odd on such a young looking person, IMO. In the video he looks more typical, though, without the beard. |

This was completely preventable. Law enforcement did not do their jobs to make sure this person did not have access to guns. We have red flag laws in IL. The burden is also on this person's family; you can't tell me they didn't know.
Shameful.

The family did know there was some sort of problem with him, however they all refused to sign a complaint against him. The local police did report the knife seizure to the state police. The question is, what did the state police do with that report? Particularly when Crimo filed for a permit to purchase a fire arm, which became 5 assorted fire arms? Should there have been a 'red flag' on his file, which would at least caused some further examination before approving the fire arm permit? |

I'm confused . When I google Quincunx that is not what is in the video. It isn’t a Quincunx, from what I can tell, which is involves FIVE same shapes in an arrangement - think of dots on the 5 side of a die. This, with 4 triangles arranged around a square in the center, is not really a Quincunx. There is a Quincunx with a square in the center, but it involves 4 SQUARES in the corners around a square in the center. |

He’ll be arrested alive and well, right? Not executed by 60 bullets. Sounds about white. I'd be willing to bet that the police being shot at by one suspect and not shot at by the other suspect, carried much more weight in the decision to shoot or not shoot, than anyone's skin color. |

Shooter has admitted firing on the crowd. Voluntary statements in court. He considered using weapon in car to shoot at another gathering/celebration in Madison, WI. His phone was found in the Madison area. Indicated he may not have done enough planning for that and return to local area.
There is video of the ladder to the roof. I think they said he was on it, not sure tho..
Bail denied, facing life. More then sufficient evidence to support it no bail.
Arraignment hearing is over.
No plea was entered. Due in court again July 28th.

Perpetuating this myth of 'killer, therefore mentally ill' makes everyone who has a mental illness sound like some sort of ready-to-snap person, forever teetering on the knife-edge of sanity. No WONDER there are people out there who refuse to get diagnosed and treated, when THIS is the attitude they see from the public at large. |
