Let's start sharing our cards to this thread. If you've been inspired by another artist and/or technique, and you want to share anything about that as well, please feel free to do so. If you have questions and/or comments on another's shared photos, please ask them. I just realized that I haven't taken pics of any cards I've made in weeks, so I'll revisit after I've done so. Meanwhile, I hope someone else will get the ball rolling! If you need help figuring out how to host your photos in order to share them here, please check out THIS THREAD for easy instructions. Let's use this thread through the end of September. grammadee was it you who suggested that this thread be pinned?

Hurray for getting going with this thread! iowagirl50147 - love your card and especially the sentiment, I'm going to have to try and remember that one. Did you make the cute turtle yourself? azcrafty - That window die is so pretty and I like the window box you created. I hope you'll share more projects using the windows dies. lindas - your card is so pretty! How was the flowers embellishment made? I made 20 of these over the weekend with various patterned papers and stamped (colored in with colored pencils and blended with gamsol) embellishments. VERY heavily influenced by THIS CARD created in 2014.

Colored pencils and gamsol is one of my favorite ways to use on stamps. The flower centers are Nuvo drops and the twig like pieces are from a different die set cut from copper shimmer paper.

MichyM thanks for starting a card sharing thread. Your coloring is lovely azcrafty very pretty! Lovely and delicate colors. I like dimension of the ivy climbing the wall near the window. iowagirl50147 - the expression on the turtle is my smile for the day. Effective layers and perfect background paper. This card is heavily inspired by a Photoplay ad that appeared in my Facebook feed. The artist in the ad is Tina Smith. The dies are from @thekatsmeow and the stamps are Stampin' Up Jar of Love.

I'm gonna give this a shot. This was the Father's Day card I made completely copying Barbara Tarayao Instagram. This was the Mother's Day card I made inspired by The Greetery. ETA: Oh wow, those are huge! I'll try to get that figured out.

pinklady Very nice. Teal and red are a favorite combination of mine. How did you get your words so thick and with white edges? I always post my photos and then go back and edit the size in my image tag. I haven't quite figured out how to do it otherwise.

The word dies are 3 layers, the bottom two layers are die cut from white cardstock and the top third layer is die cut from colored cardstock. I glued all 3 layers together with Bearly Arts glue.

I went through my Christmas collections and decided to start with a technique I have previously enjoyed. It's called "triple time" by some.

Love the pp you used and love that big Hello sentiment, who makes it? lindas your card is very elegant it perfect for the occasion. Love that flower stamp. The Hello stamp is part of a die and stamp set I got from my first AliExpress order back on April. It's "official" name is: AliliArts Big Greetings Metal Cutting Dies and stamp Scrapbook paper craft knife mould blade punch stencils dies 2021 On my computer, the url is: www.aliexpress.com/item/3256803111197976.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.0.0.1320f19cPGS9H5&gatewayAdapt=4itemAdapt However, I've found that sharing an url from AE sometimes doesn't work :/ If you can't find it, let me know!

As far as the size of your image, if you're using PostImages to host, as you're uploading, look for: 1. Make yourself an account at PostImages
2. click on UPLOAD (upper right)
3. In the middle of the screen, click on DO NOT RESIZE MY IMAGE and select "for message boards" from the drop down menu
4. In the middle of the screen click on UPLOAD IMAGES to select which images you you want to upload from your device (phone, computer, tablet, etc)

May I ask what stamp you used for the snowflake on the card to the left (the more periwinkle colored card). It's shaped very similarly to a Star of David that I wonder about using it myself for Hanukkah cards.

I love all the cards! I’ve been working on other projects, so I haven’t made as many cards, but I have made a couple. I apologize that the images are so large. I’ll try to fix that later. After going to GASC, I really wanted to use a few of the Disney dies that I bought: I also made a get well card for my old scrapping buddy. We both moved to different states, but we stay in touch. She’s a cat lover: When you pull the tab, you see the sentiment. I left the inside blank and wrote her a note.

It's a combo stencil and stamp set. I thought I chose not to resize but maybe not. I'll keep working on posting images...hopefully I'll get better at it.

Let's see if I can get the size right. This was an experiment card. 3D embossing folder (doily) on watercolor paper; rubbed rose gold luster wax over the embossing, fussy cut embossed image out, mounted on kraft cardstock, colored "paper dolls" with distress crayons and used white posca for details on dresses.

scrapnnana your stitched cards always look so neat and well done. What a perfect card for a Disney fan - the mouse ear sprinkles are so cute. Those kitty eyes keep looking at me in an endearing way! Thank you, jjpeapea, but I have to confess that those mouse ears aren’t exactly sprinkles. The background die has both the stitched and the mouse ear cutouts, so all you have to do is die cut it, then layer a contrasting color underneath. The cupcake also had the little mouse ear cut outs. I got the dies at GASC, from the Tall Mouse booth. Your cards are lovely. I also bought some slimline and mini slimline dies at GASC. I had almost nothing before. The dimensional layering you did for both your slimline and your Christmas cards and the color combinations really make your cards stand out. iowagirl50147, your turtle card is adorable, and that sentiment is something we all need to be reminded of. I also was impressed with your experimental card. Wow! azcrafty, the window with the ivy is beautiful! pinklady, your Father’s Day card is really cute. I like the background die borders. I haven’t seen cards made with that edge before. Your Mother’s Day card is lovely, too, and again, you used a very different and striking die cut border that highlighted your Mom die cut. lindas, your anniversary card is stunning with that contrasting background. Is that a stamped image or a cutout? MichyM, your cards show such beautiful contrasts with the varying papers and embellishments. They are absolutely lovely! I’ve never used gamisol, although I have heard about it. Maybe I’d love my colored pencils more if I used it.

Here is my paper doll card inspired by iowagirl50147. This is my .... get this ....paternal 1st cousin of wife of paternal 1st cousin of husband of great-grandmother. Geesh. My grandma's dad passed and my great grandma remarried so my grandma's sister had a different dad. Well somehow I inherited my great aunt's photos from that family even though I am not related to them "by blood". I had a grand old time on Ancestry one year, filling the photos I inherited into my tree. Ancestry has a new colorizing feature, so I just downloaded the photo and then the colorized photo to cut out the dress for the "doll".

iowagirl50147 - that is the cutest turtle! and the perfect sentiment! azcrafty - such a pretty card and I love the inside as well - I'm terribly neglectful of the inside of my cards lindas - love the metallic - is that heat embossing or foiling? whatever it is - it adds a classy touch to an already beautiful card MichyM - beautiful colouring and I love the strips of patterned paper - if you don't mind, I might try my hand at something similar. jjpeapea - I love the simplicity of your card - the stitching, scallops, and layering really add interest and texture pinklady - lovely Father's Day card - very masculine - love the plaid and the mixed fonts. And the Mother's day card is beautiful - that green is so pretty esp. peeking through the design on the white. jjpeapea - the Christmas cards are very nice - another technique I'll need to try - are they layered and matted? scrapnnana - that Mickey cupcake is adorable - it the background a die also? it's really cute. But that cat card? SO STINKING CUTE! I love it. and the moving parts are awesome also. iowagirl50147 - that's very vintage-y - I love it jjpeapea - family history is fun -I also inherited my great aunt's photo - working on identifying them. What a pretty card you made with that photo - colourising was a good trick. I haven't made any cards this quarter yet but hopefully...

Yes, the background is a die that I found at a booth at GASC. All I had to do was add a contrasting color of card stock behind it. The little die cut Mickey heads are the perfect size for shaker fillings or just gluing on for accents, which is a bonus for me. Unfortunately, the packaging doesn’t show what company makes them. I used the technique shown by Jennifer McGuire to make the cat card. I used dies from a kit by Queen & Co. The stamped sentiment was from the kit, too, although I think I typed it on my computer to get it the size I wanted.
