I am the same as all of you. I don't have the time to watch some 1.5 hour video to see a quick view of the kit. Im just over the hunting. At a minimal, post the time stamp of where in the video we can see the product and not have to listen to the rambling.

So... did anyone go to this (or know of anyone) last year? I think it looks SO FUN but also can't afford to spend that much $$$ on getting there, a hotel, food, actual tix, etc. if it's not worth the hype. There's also one in CA + the same company threw their first 90s Con this past spring. Christmas Con

The rambling in the Lives isn’t fun or professional. I think they should show everything and then take questions/chat afterward.
If others hadn’t offered screenshots, I wouldn’t have seen any of the sneaks.

I very much agree that the Lives just irritate me. I wasn't a "popular girl" in high school, and that's exactly what these Lives feel like to me. Just a bunch of bored girls filling the time and air around them with endless chatter. Ali and I are the same age. I thought we'd all grown up.
Show me actual photos of the products where they can actually be seen. Or do a free for all order session nearly sight unseen like in the old days of SC to stoke the FOMO. Honestly, I'm just bored with it all if I'm being honest. And, someone mentioned the ICYMI posts on the blog.. I also refuse to open them in the last few weeks. I used to really enjoy Ali's blog. Not so much any more.

Way out of the loop on DD offerings so far, but I think I’m going to skip AE DD. I’m holding out for KP. 🤞🤞 I will probably pick up a few things from Elle’s Studio but will decide once I can see everything. My pre-order of Mittens & Mistletoe came yesterday, and I really like it. I need to look at everything closer.
I’m definitely excited for the buzz though. I always love catching up in these threads. ♥️

Enough with all the Lives. I'm another one who doesn't have hours to watch videos, sit through endless mindless chatter and hold out for a few images of the product. I would much prefer some IG posts or photos and a blog post.

Dammit. I went to buy the stuff in my cart from ACOT since the Simple Stories just came in and some of it is sold out already. I checked earlier today and it was not in so it just came in this afternoon.
Mix & A Mingle and Baking Spirits Bright must be popular.
I should have pre-ordered.

I’m kind of surprised that Paper Person hasn’t shown us any peeks🤷🏻♀️ sleepingbooty do you know when Kelly showed peeks last year? We had a sneak from PP on August 3rd last year. We are well past getting any info or sneaks from them. :X The kits went on sale October 13 last year, too. What dawnnikol said, groovy. Kelly was first out of the starting blocks last year. Ali's first 2021 DD sneak came days later. I hoped this was a definitive change in the Christmas release dynamic but alas, we're back to speculating and waiting this year...

I share the AE DD release Fa La La Live aggravation. It was a cute idea but oh my, such a flawed execution. They need to be way more structured and short. Gotta move on and keep the flow going. I was getting very annoyed when the live kept going on after the Pam mini kit reveal. Lisa and Ali are on work time for this but most of us watching are not. We're eager to spend money but we're also cutting out extra time out of our day for this. It's just too chaotic, too friends-trying-to-figure-technology-out, too long. This FOMO business shouldn't be a hassle for the bulk of your customers.
There's no way the majority of DD customers are SAHM/SAHW who can easily adapt their schedule for this, right?

The fans seemed to really enjoy their time with the Hallmark actors I keep an eye on. The "Hynies" and Andrew Walker crowd were raving about it... It looks a little cheesy to me but I could totally see myself going to this with a couple of Christmas rom-com gal pals (and some drinks ).

Ok, I just bought this for my DD supplies. I can store it in the basement in the off season. One of the shelves will be 1" too short for my 12" paper but I think I'll be able to slide it behind the basket above it. I don't have much 12X12 paper. I'll get plastic storage boxes in 4X6 and 5X7 for stickers and stuff on cards. My alpha stickers will definitely fit. Then smaller containers for embellishments and stuff. Or maybe one of those storage boxes with all the little compartments. If it's a good quality one it should fit standing up and nothing will move around. door organizerWhat do you think? Will it work?

Thanks for all your responses everyone - I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling with the Lives and blog this year. Looks like the blog post will be Monday and the release is next Wednesday and there will be videos at some point. I don't need anything, but Ali's release usually gets me excited about the project and planning Christmas in general and I always end up falling in love with something in her collection so I look forward to it!

Ladies, help a girl out. I'm finding it difficult to figure out what is happening with AE's DD release this year. I don't have time to watch the IG videos and when I go to Ali's blog it's all ICYMI and I don't have the patience to read through each of those. Every blog post being labeled ICYMI is so off-putting. Is there a DD blog post I just don't see? When is the release day with the photos of what's in the kit? When can I buy? This is the first year I've felt like I needed to be a detective to find out how to buy her DD stuff. Maybe I'm missing the easy answer, but it all feels so hidden this year. Same. I do not have time to watch an IG video that shows backwards images or is full of chit chat. Just show me stills of the product. Like Elle's Studio is doing. I can decide on my own if I want it or not. I don't need someone hyping up a product or trying to instill FOMO in me. It does the exact opposite. I love Ali, but hate that she is with Inked and now is following their marketing strategies. Yes, oh my goodness, please. I am not watching AE DD stuff but just in general, I don't want to try and see a low res reversed look at something I want to buy. No. Either show me properly or don't bother. And I've never mastered the art of skipping through a live replay to get to the bits I want to see (I've accidentally skipped but when I try to do it deliberately I just seem to like it or turn the sound on and off). I want to be able to go back and look at the sneaky peeks a few times in the process of convincing myself that I do or don't need the thing. If you want to do an unboxing/hype video at least do it with a good camera and accurate lighting on a platform where I can control the playback.

I am going to try the cardboard that will come with my next ACOT order and see if I can put the top 1" of the paper behind the rack in the next level above it. Our door has panels so if the spacing works out, I'm good. But if not, I will try a sleeve. There are some at my Michaels. Should be stiff enough. I don't have a lot of 12X12 paper in my DD supplies and I didn't buy much this year.

I would much prefer some IG posts or photos and a blog post. I probably do have the time (right now) to watch the videos, but I have zero inclination to do so. Even though I look at the AE/SC kits just out or morbid curiosity I wouldn't want to watch an hour video of any product. Hell, I don't want to watch a 30 minute video introducing your product. Like everyone else here just show me pictures so I can zoom in and look at what I want to look at. Let me decide how long I want to look at each item's photo. These videos do nothing to pique my interest.

I think I am the lone person here who enjoys the lives.
I'm not usually able to watch them live but I watch the recording after I get home from work. I liked seeing the sneaks, that's fine. But for me I'm always looking for new tips and techniques for DD and scrapbooking in general and there have been some good ideas in each one.
I also really like Lisa. Her photographs are incredible and she's shared a couple of tips that I will definitely be using.
I was definitely bummed that Pam wasn't there because they said it was her idea but that was fine.
I will absolutely do my shopping when the blog post comes out because I need to spend more time with the products. So far I am only wanting the felt circles but I can make them. I think I'm just going to buy felt circles from Etsy so I don't have to deal with figuring out how to use the Silhouette for something other than paper.
I don't care for the Santas in the main kit but I am intrigued by the wooden stars. I still have some stars from years ago (Basic Grey maybe) that are very similar but I find wood stuff too thick so I don't use them often.
I just want Christmas to be here because I die inside when Summer goes away.

Its so easy. This is how you do it. Thank you!! I took a photo of that with my phone. It is only a circle. I should be able to handle it. I think I even have a fabric blade.

those fabric circles are WAY bigger than I thought For whatever reason (maybe not enough coffee today? ) I like those chunky gold puffy numbers and I normally hate gold anything. The long boi labels with numbers are weird.. I don't know how I would ever use something like that?

I agree with all of you on the long rambling live feeds. Not my thing. They are silly and a waste of time, imo.
Paislee Press kit has my heart so far.
Christmas Past is dull and of no interest to me.
Main kit doesn’t look promising to me either. While I love the inclusion of multicultural santas, I never, ever use faces or people as embellishments in my memory keeping. Those do nothing for me. And all I see with the felt circles are Poke balls. I love the idea of fabric and felt embellishments but they take up too much space in my album.
Maybe this will be a “inexpensive” DD for me.

those fabric circles are WAY bigger than I thought In the live Ali measured them and the red circle is almost 4" diameter. The round tags/cards that go inside are 3.75" I think they said. I didn't write it down. I think one right in the center of a 6X8 page is going to look really cool.

The long boi labels with numbers are weird.. I don't know how I would ever use something like that? I could see them going on a full 6x8 page in a stacked format to create a list. Or just as a label on a photo that runs off the edge and is trimmed. And all I see with the felt circles are Poke balls. Ha!! I can't unsee this now.
