I ended up working on my PL last weekend (got it finished-yeah!) so didn’t work on DD 2022 much. Since November, I have done my 2021, 2020 (even though I already had that year done, haha), and 2016. I was sick of my stash at that point, so ordered a Paper Person Christmas kit to refresh my enthusiasm. I make my own albums with recycled vintage books (don’t come for me please!), so I am planning out 2022 and still have momentum to get it finished. I have 2018 to do as well, with an Elles Studio Christmas kit from this year. The colors are pretty basic, but ended up matching my photos really well. Hoping to get that done as well, but I may squirrel out and focus on starting PL 2023. I would love to see your album Made using vintage/recycled books! |

I really haven’t been working on my dd since the end of December - and wasn’t up to date at that point either. My priorities right now are keeping my PL and OLW current and a travelers notebook I’m working on. I plan to be filling in my dd as time and motivation allow. I would be more motivated with a bigger space and room to spread with different projects at the same time but that will have to wait until we move. I did just post a couple pages on Instagram of my dd that are finished- this whammed one makes me laugh- both the topic and using the old school punches. I only have days 1-4 completely done, and 5-15 just need journaling. So, I have a long ways to go! Ho Ho Ho. 😂 http://instagram.com/p/Cnr2ocVJm3S |

Slowly but surely still working on it as well as multiple other past years. The photos are all taken, filed away by the idea I want to use them for. I have notes for every page idea. Going back to the notes when I have some away from home and writing out full paragraphs. I didn't get as much inspiration from instagram or pinterest this year. Everything is all Ali's kit and its just not all that inspiring to me. Its the same products, ideas, over and over. I miss the creativity from years past.

I’m proud of myself for seeing it through when my focus was MIA and I couldn’t get any momentum. I kept telling myself it was okay to not do it if I wasn’t feeling it (giving permission to let it go), but the thing is, I really WANTED to feel it. So I kept plodding along. Baby steps all the way. Only working at it while it felt joyful, and walking away as soon as I’d recognize frustration setting in.
Very pleased with the final product. Very pleased to be finished with it. Very very excited to pack away the DD supplies. ❣️

I think someone does a Christmas in July? If so, I’ll probably try working on it then. Or when the hype starts up for 2023 DD, that usually motivates me.

Scrappy like a Fox does Scrappy Christmas in July every year but it's pretty low key, at least on IG where I follow her. www.instagram.com/explore/tags/scrappychristmasinjuly/I think there's a Fbk group though. And we often have something going on here. |

I can't believe that I can at last join the ranks of those who can shout "I'm done with 2022!". (And oh, how very done I am!) Once the dust settles, I might revisit one or two pages, take a photo and post to my blog (or even here)
I have done a Christmas Journal for so many years and never before has it been such a struggle to get it done. Maybe it was my mood - we were going to be home alone this year with no family joining us, but unable to escape because of 98 yo m-i-l down the road, who I wouldn't dream of leaving alone at Christmas. Maybe it was because of all the delivery disruptions in the run up to the present giving, or maybe it was the fact that our super duper Christmas dinner, ordered from a fancy chef as a treat didn't arrive as promised, leaving us to have lunch from the freezer? Who knows? We actually had a good one - better than that, if I'm honest. But somehow, I just felt ready to move on and didn't really want to faff about with my journal. However, I gave myself a good talking to (as you do!) and finally I got it done.
It feels good. And I might even be able to see a work surface in my studio again :-)
