I think Ali’s main kit is very representative of how she and her team are currently doing their albums - lots of stuff outside of the page protectors, interactive, and very little use of actual journal cards. The kit is heavy on the background papers and embellishments. There is a whole lot less of her handwriting, too.
As kind of mentioned above, if it was my business, I would probably split out the papers from the main kit as an add-on, so people can get the paper and cards that fit their chosen size album. And whole Ali doesn’t use a whole lot of journal cards in her DD, I think her team missed an opportunity for a 3x4 journal card add on since there are so few in the main kit.

It’s interesting how AE has been pushing the 10x8 size. The release is definitely geared toward the 10x8 album with the size of the papers and the cards. But in the DD FB group someone put up a poll about what size album everyone is choosing, and only 18% are going to do the 10x8, whereas 71% are sticking with 6x8.
A 3x4 add on would have been a good idea, or designing the 4x4 cards to be cut down to 3x4 without losing some of the design.

I know Ali has said that most people have enough cards in their stash but it does feel like quite a shift from the earlier DD release days. In a way, the simplicity of storytelling Ali has always promoted is being effaced for interactive creativity as you mentioned. |

Agreeing with all of this, and she may be assuming people who want to do 6x8 will buy Liz or Christmas past kits vs the Main kit, as those two are clearly set up more for 6x8. I would also add, I ended up cutting down the 10x8 papers and digitals and using them as both 6x8, 4x6, and even 3x4 cards last year. I miss the dedicated cards, but I was definitely able to repurpose a lot of the 10x8 Personally, I wish the main kit was more adaptable for 6x8 AND included more journal cards, but this also may be the year I only purchase add ons…. |

The stencils are very cute but I am NOT a stencil user 🙈 I think this bundle is so intricate that I’d use repositionable spray adhesive to stick these on rather than tape to reduce the bleeding |

Thanks for posting - I took the Fb App off my phone so I have to actively search so it was good to know there was something to search for! I like the messy circles and the presents the most. But I wish some things were different for both sets so I’ll have to think about it. |

I'll probably buy the digital version of the messy circles and handlettered titles + sentiment strips sets. I really dug these elements in the main kit (foam-mounted die-cuts and 4x4 cards). The 6x8 alpha set with 2 alphabets is a really smart way of encouraging people to buy a more expensive, large-sized set during times of inflation. I shouldn’t have watched the videos again this morning. Now I want the blocked sentiments and maybe the alphabet along with the messy circles. I think I’m over the presents- cute, but wouldn’t get enough use. I’ll probably end up with two stamps and the stencils. I’m not buying any kits and probably not embellishments so that seems decent.  |

I really want that Santa album, but in 6x8. So I decided to test cutting down an older album I had laying around. I was able to take 2 inches off the album. I'll do a few things differently for the real album (rulers to distribute the clamps pressure a bit better, you can see slight impressions from the clamps). But happy that this seems doable.    |

At first I was thinking I’d use it for birthdays as well… but I don’t think I would. I wish the bows were more variable- they seem basically the same. It’s a super Cute idea, though. I’d buy it for sure on a sale if it lasts that long. |

Glad to see it's actually doable. I thought it might be a butchering job with saving the paper for the fold-over but you did it. And I assume that's a 4x6 being turned into a 4x4 now. If so, that candy cane stripe looks really cute as a perfect square in the 4x4 format so it's a win-win! |

Im finally watching the stamping and stencil video.
I agree, they look like Kerri Bradford stamps. I can't see myself using the present stamp enough to buy it, but its a cute idea if that's your thing. I do like the tag set though.
Some of the stencils I do like, but not enough of them to buy a whole pack. I might try to cut some form the digits and make my own.....I wonder if I have some left over stencil material laying in my closet?

Me three on thinking they looked like Kerr Bradford.
I have the stencil and silk screen pack from 2018 so I'm gonna use those. I do like the idea of getting the messy circle digital and making my own stencils and foiling. So I think I'm going to do that.
I like the handwriting and sentiment stamp but I never got a good result from sentiments that are shaded, even using t.h stamp platform, so if I get those, they'd also be digital. Again upside would be to foil them.

I like the stencil set and the tag stamp. Also like the main kit although until I see all the items on Monday it's hard to narrow down my selection. Cost is going to be a big factor. Given that everything in general has gone up in price lately, we can assume the same of Ali's products.
I'm actually not a big fan of the santa, floral, and joy albums as they're all very busy. I really like the pattern on the red with gold stars, loose ring 10x8 album but I think I want to stick with 6x8 - maybe I'll cut it down?
