If anyone is purchasing the envelope bundle and wants to sell the red one with the joy, love, noel, etc words on it, let me know please.
Otherwise, nothing overwhelming for me, but definitely some good stuff.
I boggle at the wooden stamps though..

AE product videos are in! And the pricing is surprising to say the least (most is unchanged since 2021, PP mini kit is actually cheaper than last year's!). Main kit (59.99): Paislee Press mini kit (26.99): Pam Baldwin mini kit (34.99):

If international shipping wasn't $28, I would be all over the PP mini kit and those chipboard numbers. I'm pretty sure you'd pay a dollar more for that number set at Felicity Jane. Elegant but modern. I'm just lamenting the fact they'll sell out before the order selection period ends and I can purchase new DD items with regular international shipping instead of the nearly-30-dollars-whoa-baby-no price tag... ETA: And the glitter cardstock phrases (although I purchased the set in last year's main kit for 3.99 this summer so 8.99 seems too high to me). From the digital offer, I'm definitely getting the Holiday Messy Circles and Blocked Holiday sets. They make wonderful journaling starters. Holiday Messy Circles is offering some never-used-before sentiments that can lead down different paths ("still merry and bright" could be about the kids staying up super late on Christmas Eve, holiday decorations being up in the house well into January, being in the spirit to celebrate despite the business/chaos of the season, etc.). I'm super duper excited about using these! Well done, AE team.

Overall it is a very nice release and the collection but I do not love it! I have so much stash and need to use it before buying new things. For the first time in 10 years I have been doing this project I will be skipping the AE shopping. I may pick up a few shop items down the road if still available but I already have items I love/ need to use this year. I am using FJ 6x8 album. I also will be skipping Cocoa Daisy Christmas kit pre-order that I got the last 2 years for the same reasons above.

I canāt get over the prices and the price of shipping. So, if I want the main kit, it would be $72+tax? I will really have to think about my purchases. I think $60 is too much for a main kit and I think $12 is too much for shipping, especially for high volume orders. Just wow! I am disappointed!

I think Iāll get the main kit. And those lovely chipboard numbers. I watched the sticker advent sneak and I love it (last year I liked the idea of it, but didnāt care for the actual stickers).
I adore that floral album, but itās not jiving with me for Christmas. Iām not super loving any of the albums. Iād probably get the Santa if it were 6x8. Iām thinking about a CT 6x8, but once you tack on that additional shipping to the album price it would probably be more expensive than AE. Iām going to have to really ponder this.
Just those four things alone are $140+ shipping. šµāš«šµāš«šµāš«
I also love the transparency pieces, but itās a $uper $lippery $lope with all the add-ons.
It says $5 off to add the class early, but I donāt see the actual price listed. Am I just missing it?

On the bright side, I found the ribbon I was bemoaning was missing from the kits in the add ons this yearā¦ a start, but I donāt feel the colours match the kit (Iām not fan girling the red or peach ones at all). But hey, itās a step in the right direction! Going to print the shipping list and figure out if I want enough to justify the shopping price or if I just wait and hope for a sale later on. Still salty I missed out on the 2020 transparenciesā¦ And the advent calendar may be calling my name again this year, I even love the envelope!

Thereās some cute stuff. I was expecting the messy circles to be 19.99 - not 28.99. Iām at 100.00 for only four items (not including a kit!) and thereās other stuff I saw I wanted. PLUS $12.00 shippingā¦ I donāt know. Iāll have to think about it some more.
I think itās a missed opportunity to not offer some kind of shipping break. I mean even if was was a really high purchase to get free shipping I bet some people would be enticed to buy more.

I just canāt get over the shipping. I know why they do it, but I just could never justify playing that game. So many places offer free shipping if you spend a certain amount, I canāt believe they have the gall to flat shipping charge everyone 12, which is outrageous for any company to charge.
That being said there are some cute components this year, way better then last year, I think. But even if they offered free shipping I think it is too expensive. I donāt really love the colors though. It reads a bit drab for my personal taste and photos. And those Santas freak me right the heck out.
The paislee kit is by far the best of the bunch, although I hate the split up words thing they do.
The wood stamps are super baffling. I like the double alphabet set just because I love that curly font, but I t I have something similar already.
The type set sayings ones is the oddest offering of the season for me. āLittle fullā And ā believing is seeingā are super nonsensical to me. And a whole bunch of them just donāt see that useable to me.

Same with the tag and star stamp - I can image lots of uses, that Believe star will be awesome blown up to 6x8 and foiled in shiny red. I actually want to alter a lot of things, the 3x8 cards and transparencies I would want digitally so I could print them bigger or smaller. I think mostly digital is the way for me to go this year.

Ridiculous shipping costs aside, I canāt quit Ali when it comes to DD. Iāve tried Felicity Jane, Paper Person and Elleās. They just do not work for me.
Initial thoughts.
Main kit - Zero interest. I like the building paper and vellum strips, thatās it. The font used for the puffy numbers makes me rashy. Can one be allergic to a font?
Paislee Press Kit - coming home to me. Along with the floral album.
Christmas Past kit - that is a whole lot of blah and what the heck. Nope for me.
Considering Blocked Holiday Phrases, Holiday Favorites, and the Paislee Press set. Will compare against current stamps. The critters on the messy circle set are adorable but that damn handwriting. Just canāt.
Embellishments that are an absolute yes: 2x2 diecut bundle Plastic Stars Chipboard numbers Die cut paper inserts Envelopes 6x8 Transparency set
Maybes: Stitched pocket hearts Window cards Trim pack Die cut pack Plastic trees
Sizes on some of this stuff would be super nice.
Ali ALWAYS kills it with the 3x8 sets. I know I have a ton from previous years but I really love this yearās. Probably will get it. Considering a mini album to tuck in the envelope.
Will get the Advent kit again. Love the idea of the puzzle. Not getting that one, itās a bit dark and gloomy.
Prices as per usual are ridiculous.
ETA- I now see the holes punched in the 3x8 cards. Do not like. May reconsider.
Her stamp samples are always so messy. Is it her technique? The inks?

Hi! Iāve followed along to this thread for years but made an account because I need ideas.
I want to use a 4x6 albums or a 6x8 notebook (a la the creative bubble option from last year). Iām not terribly excited about spending $35 for the creative bubble notebook + stamp in the AE shop. (I wonāt use the stamp). And I donāt think thereās a 4x6 with 2in spine available for purchase anywhere. š¤Ŗ Iām also not super interested in altering an album to make it work.
I love DD and want to make a smaller and less intensive album!! Any ideas of other companies with options for me?
Thanks so much!!

Looking through things.. I'm shocking myself so much I really love that main kit š Especially the "twinkle" and "falala" things. The stamping examples leave a lot to be desired.. you can't even read what some of them say. Whether that's the AE ink or the stamp itself idk but it doesn't make me want to buy them when the lines are so blown out. TWENTY DOLLARS FOR STENCILS These prices have increased..right? $20 for a 3x8 pack of stuff?! shit I really do love those transparencies though. I just keep scrolling and scrolling and scrolling.. dare I say there's too many things? Ah, clock those window cards again! Just spend $20 on the window card die from Elle's Studio and have windows foreverrrrrrr. ooof. $40 for a STICKER advent.

Oh lordy moldy! I went and looked at the Advent sneak. That is some seriously jacked up pricing. I won't be specific but some of those stickers shouldn't cost more than 50 cents even if they sold them a la carte in their store with Inked's pricing model. Only one or two are worth the more than a dollar per set they are charging. One of them looks like something you get out of the one of those kids craft kits of the Dollar Tree, but you get 12 of and they are only giving you 2.
They really have no shame.

I recall Ali being very WSYWIG when it comes to stamping. She doesn't really care too much if it's messy. I don't think it's the quality of the stamps.
I know that freaking advent calendar is expensive, but I got it last year and loved it SO much! After 20+ years of doing all the planning, shopping, wrapping, cooking etc for the holidays, it was really nice to have something special just for me. I will get it again this year.

Whelp, I'm in trouble, there's a lot there that I like. Fortunately for me I've been able to save up a little bit of cash over the year (mainly by not buying any other scrappy products), but still, it's a hell of a lot of money. But it is the one project that gets done and enjoyed the most every year, so it is worth it. But that international shipping fee. Sheeeeeeeeeesh. We're also gallivanting around the seaside on release day so who knows if I'll actuallybe able to get what I want?
Wish list if I had all the money in the world and nothing gets sold out:
- Main kit
- PP mini kit
- 10x8 Santa album
- 6x8 floral album (for a different project, I love that pattern so much)
- plastic stars
- wood veneer pack
- Variety die cut bundle
- Chipboard numbers
- large felt numbers
- woodland puffy sticker sheet
- phrase stickers
Suspect I'll only get a small portion of that.

Despite freaking out over prices a bit, I do really, really enjoy sitting down with a drink and going through Ali's blog post and watching all the product videos. It's part of the DD project as much as sitting down and creating the actual album.
Also part of the tradition - scrolling though Creative Market trying to find the graphics used for some of the papers. If any of you find the woodland creatures patterns/elements I will love you forever.

And I donāt think thereās a 4x6 with 2in spine available for purchase anywhere. I've never seen a 4x4 or 4X6 with a wider spine. For 6x8 the simple stories one this year is nice: acotAnd also Vicki Boutin has one: acotIs that what you meant? The quality of the Simple Stories is comparable, if not better, than AE. Citrus Twist can't be beat for 6x8 quality and gorgeousness factor but her shipping cost is very high. So if you only need an album, it's very pricey. My brain justifies spending more for shipping when I have more stuff in my cart and that's maybe not the best approach.

feel you could do something with the 1-24 envelopes I thought this last year too and never did anything with the envelopes. I do plan on using the 9. I have 9 nieces and nephews and there is no word for the nonbinary one. I'm going to make 9 tags. I'm going to cut off the top of the envelope and use an attacher for the side. I'll make 9 tags that will fit inside and have all the fun fibers sticking out of the top of the envelope. On side side I'll have their photo and on the back we'll write their gift. I always do something fun and interactive for this page every year. I can spend time on it since I do it in advance and it's always day 9. OMG someone please tell me the advent calendar is not that bad. I had so much fun with it last year. I mean sure, a couple of the days were not so great (full sheet of tiny postage stamp-like labels I'm looking at you) but I really liked the others. Did we get free shipping last year if we spent a certain amount? It's $1.66 per day + whatever fraction of the shipping it will be. I can also use the cute box to wrap a gift.

Holy price list!! Its 10 pages to print it all out!
That said.....I did print it out and I now feel like a child going through the Sears Catalog making a Christmas list, lol.
There are some good things this year. I will definitely have to have a plan ahead of time. That said, I thought I really liked the main kit but with all the add-ons, I think I can put a 'better for me' kit using them. Really the only Main Kit piece that I am not sure I can live without is the red Pokemon circle. Might have to try and make one and see how ratchet it looks, lol.

I watched the sticker advent sneak and I love it (last year I liked the idea of it, but didnāt care for the actual stickers). OK, I don't want the spoilers as I really enjoyed opening my calendar last year and being surprised. I was very pleased with what I got overall. A couple of days were meh but offset by some other very good elements (like the big house and the pleather phrase sticker). I'm glad to see you like it better. I'm hoping for some of those cute woodland animals. I felt like last year it matched the kit but it was the LOFT outlet version of LOFT, if you know what I mean -- just a little too basic. I'm definitely getting it again. already planning to make a giant die-cut page out of that cabin icon. I wish my brain worked like that! What a great idea. I don't see something and think, Oh, I can totally use this in a different way. With the floral album, the 2x2 diecuts, the attacher stickers, and the advent calendar I'm at $82 + $12 shipping = $94 I'm going to watch the video with the add-ons at lunch today and see if there is anything else I have to have. I love the top pennant but what would I do with a green pennant that says "words matter." It seems well suited for an elementary school classroom. I don't see what it has to do with DD.
