feel you could do something with the 1-24 envelopes I thought this last year too and never did anything with the envelopes. I do plan on using the 9. I have 9 nieces and nephews and there is no word for the nonbinary one. I'm going to make 9 tags. I'm going to cut off the top of the envelope and use an attacher for the side. I'll make 9 tags that will fit inside and have all the fun fibers sticking out of the top of the envelope. On side side I'll have their photo and on the back we'll write their gift. I always do something fun and interactive for this page every year. I can spend time on it since I do it in advance and it's always day 9. OMG someone please tell me the advent calendar is not that bad. I had so much fun with it last year. I mean sure, a couple of the days were not so great (full sheet of tiny postage stamp-like labels I'm looking at you) but I really liked the others. Did we get free shipping last year if we spent a certain amount? It's $1.66 per day + whatever fraction of the shipping it will be. I can also use the cute box to wrap a gift. Did you watch the spoiler video? Last year was 7x better in my humble opinion; this year a lot of the stickers are blah blah blah blah boring. I would probably have paid $40 as a treat to myself for last year’s. I wouldn’t even pay $20 for this years. I very merrily buy myself an advent calendar every year amd there are way cuter ones than this. If I didn’t have allergies I’d buy one of those cute little jam jar ones instead of this and get a lot more enjoyment and use out of it. If I was a makeup person I would buy a make up one instead. As it is I buy myself a Lego one or a nightmare before Christmas one. There are way too many choices to spend that much on these lame stickers. Citrus twist should get on an advent calendar set, they would rock it.

Still Merry and Bright Circle One felt circle
I'd buy. Let me know.

I am really on the fence about the floral album. I love the floral pattern but I am not certain I want it on my cover of my album. Paper? YES! Album cover? Not sure. I have an empty white 6x8 album that I could use if I decided to and it would be an easy place to save some money. Decisions. Decisions.

Thanks to @skellinton I just bought the Funko pop Star Wars advent calendar. Wal-mart had the best price. The characters are in Christmas outfits. It has got to be good.

On my Gawd! I can't believe how much of this year's release I love. I watched all the videos and for the first time in years I'm excited about an Ali DD release! lol However I'm a bit scared as I might have to mortgage my home to purchase my wish list. (shrug) 😳 😃

I just watched the vid for the advent and it's really just.. hm. The envelopes look wonderful and are definitely reusable -- along with the packaging it comes in. So if you love the idea of opening something new each day and the price point isn't an issue by all means yes! get it! But if you're looking for a deal or worthwhile $$ wise.. this ain't it imo. Spoilering because I mention a specific thing from one of the days - picture yourself.. the envelopes are ginormous and you're excited to open it for the day! you rip that bad boy open (carefully because you want to reuse the envelope) and shake out the pocket... out pops a teensy weensy piece of acetate with a tree sticker attached and you're left wondering where the rest of it is. That feels like such a letdown!

I'm working on my wish list to get it way down. I'm at $47 at the moment w.o shipping ( Album + specialty paper + gold numbers) but I'm bound to go back up.
I like the contents of the advent calendar much more than last years, but agree with others
Anyone else notice that they've reduced the number of page protectors included with the albums - so that they are standardized across album offerings (yeah right) . So 25 instead of 31

I had two last year, the one with envelopes and the pop one so I saved the pop up Christmas tree one for this year and a pop one that is different, let me see if I can find the link.

It really is so fun to sit down with a cup of coffee, and go through the December Daily blogpost, watching all of the little videos, and making a wishlist like a little kid!! This is the first time ever that I’m considering going all in with Ali’s DD products. I have never bought one of her albums, and the only main kit I’ve bought was last year I bought an older kit on sale. This year, for the first time ever, I kind of want it all! My Current Wishlist: Main Kit PP Kit Floral Album Diecut Pack 3x8 journaling card set Phrase stickers Tab stickers This adds up to quite a bit, especially when I include shipping, but if I add up what I usually spend buying from multiple different places, it’s probably not more if I’m being honest with myself 😂. We’ll also have to see how fast it all sells out 🤷♀️ I really liked the alphabet stamp set, the PP stamp set, the bottom half of the tag stamp set (with the stars), the stencils, the envelopes, and the window cards, but i probably won’t buy any of these, because it all adds up REAL quick, and I do have a decent stamp collection already.

Very Very fun to watch and make the list. Lots of things bubbling in my head. So I got the advent calendar last year and enjoyed the surprise of it and also used some, but not all of the stickers and only used a few envelopes. I like some of the items in this years, but then I thought about it being $40 and Liz's entire kit is $27 and am asking myself which one would I use more of. The Advent feels more like a fun gift, but end of day, Liz's kit would probably get way more use at a lower price point.
After watching the video a few. times, I think the main kit is a yes. I will use those 4x4 cards cut down (I love the font) and most of the kit looks pretty usable for my style. I typically work on current year and old DD's during the same time frame, so I can easily pop some of these product into older albums if they don't fit in with my 2022 theme.
I love the woodland and messy circle stamp set and can't decide if I want the physical and digital of it or just digital.
I am a sucker for the paper die cut inserts, 6x8 transparencies and the 3x8 card set, but then I just looked through my stash and I have plenty of all 3 from prior years. Ugh - so for those, I am forcing myself to use at least 50% of my stash before I can buy any new stuff. If they sell out, then so be it.
I have last year's FaLaLa Album in hand, but I do love the new JOY one - can't decide whether to keep FaLaLa for later so show restraint and use it now.
Leaning towards the large die cut pack and the specialty papers but only if I commit to a strong Kraft theme/element throughout the album. Never done that and kind of like the idea of it. Anyone ever done that? Probably Kraft + Black and White with some color pops.
I own the Felicity Jane chipboard #s like the new Ali ones. I like Ali's font better, but I can't justify another similar set.
Yes to plastic stars.
Stitched heart pockets are likely a yes. I loved the ones in the WITL kit and they all got used.
Plastic and chipboard trees are a maybe.
Everything else is a no so far. And, unless someone comes up with an amazing Number set, Ali E may be my only DD spending this year.
Unsure about the black felt #s. I used the White and Red ones in previous years. Still have some so debating if I really need another set.

I've taken my first look at some of the videos and printed out the price list. After thinking that I'd get the main kit, I'm now on the fence and think I might get the PP kit instead plus some a la carte items and put my own kit together. I went back and looked through my stash and I still have some papers left from last year's kit so I might try and use up at least some of my stash and add to it with product from this year.
I really like the look of the stencil bundle and a couple of the stamps (messy circles and tag & star) plus the woodland wood veneer and puffy stickers. That international postage is a killer. I do have US mailing address in Oregon so the other option is to send it there with the domestic shipping and then have it sent on but I'm actually not sure it would work out much cheaper so I think I'll just bite the bullet.
I'm pretty impressed with the range of products on offer this year.

I haven't gotten a main kit in awhile, and I totally choked at the $60 price. That said, I like it a lot, so I'll probably get it + a 6x8 album.
I loved the advent calendar last year, so I appreciate the comments about how much of a let down it is this year...I think I'll watch the spoiler video.
I'm glad I hate the typewriter sentiments this year. TOTALLY nonsensical...even if they were pulled from pop culture. A lot of it just doesn't work out of context.

Last year Advent Calendar Spoiler video prompted me to add it to my cart. I watched it this year and the novelty is gone. I used most of the stickers last year or sold the ones I did not like. I liked that it included a few staple items but 4 of my stickers had issues with clear stars completely miscut and not salvageable at all. I got a refund - $2 per sticker last year so $8 total. Looks like this year they should not have the same quality issues:) Lessons learned for sure. I think for new to project people or for hard core AE fans who like her “samey” products this will be a great gift to yourself. On the other hand, the puzzle is a neat idea (better than a stack of cards) but not sure on the price and if $25 is a good price for quality puzzles. I usually get similar ones at TJMaxx for a lot less.

I just went to the AE website and put 1 6X8 album in my cart. Shipping was almost $11.
So if you're getting an album and something else, the $12 shipping is what they're charging.
If you're just picking up a couple of add-ons, it's too much.
I want that floral album but I'm just so bummed about how expensive everything has gotten.
And I'm bummed with everyone's reviews on the advent calendar because it made me happy last year even though I had to throw the star shaker away. It split open and the glitter was everywhere. I should have washed it in the sink and done something cool with it that did not involve glitter but I did not have it in me.

So shipping on DD items is a flare rate $12 for the US? Yes, until the end of September. Then you will be able to buy whatever is left of Dec Daily stuff and get charged whatever Ali is charging.

Yes, their shipping went up when USPS raised prices in June:( I do not think they or SC have shipping less than $6 now:( I personally think $12 flat rate is not that bad for a heavy package many will get. FJ and CT charge more than that but i agree with many they should have had free shipping for $100+ Purchases. I did not buy stamps from a few AE releases because they are expensive as is and then after you add shipping and tax, the stamp is becoming almost $40 and I have a lot of untouched stamps in my stash that are dead expensive weight at this point:)

Maybe not free shipping over a certain threshold but reduced shipping for US + Canada beyond, say, $120 (which is very easy to reach with these price tags) would have been nice. $5 for US, $10 for Canada. Psychologically, this helps a lot with making a purchase (a larger one than intended, even!) and feeling good about it. In troubled financial times, it's good custom to make sure you reward loyalty and work at retaining customers rather than targetting new ones. The return for keeping customers is much better than chasing new ones.

Also part of the tradition - scrolling though Creative Market trying to find the graphics used for some of the papers. If any of you find the woodland creatures patterns/elements I will love you forever. It's our foster puppy's witching hour right now and I have to go back to moving the empty water bottle all over the floor like a fat snake for her to chase or she's going to keep attacking my toes so I can't look much further to find the artist on Creative Market right now but it's this pack. Now that we've had a chance to digest the upcoming release, my third favourite thing to do, after watching all the videos and whittling down my list...is to predict what will sell out first. I was going to go with the floral album but based on FB posts, could be the Joy album. Then a close 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th would be the gold numbers + stencils + felt numbers + plastic stars. What's your prediction?

Joy was my olw for Xmas a couple of years back, and I was thinking of switching the albums, but I'd prefer a smaller joy similar to the design of Falala last year. So I'm sticking with the floral.
