sleepingbooty What a cutie! She's beyond adorable. I can see why she and her sister would be hard to let go (even if finding them forever homes is the "goal"). I'd be emotional shopping too.

I'm still on the fence, so haven't bought anything, and missed out on a few things I would have wanted from AE. I'm not that bummed about it so I guess I didn't "need" it. I plan to get the PP digitals when they go live. I do love the city paper in the main kit but I don't want to work in 8x10 so that's a pretty easy pass for me at $59.
It is fun to start to see everyone get excited for DD. I'm hoping to find a few minutes to go through my stash and see what I have and if it inspires me to at least finish up 2020. Pop on some Christmas movies and pretend it's cold outside.

I wont be using that piece.

If you’ve been to the AE DD prep days, what do you think of them? I suppose for $5 it’s probably good/worth it. Would it be similar to the subscriber appreciate day from this spring or summer where there were mini classes/topics? They had mentioned other years it’s been 12 hours (and thinking of maybe 8 hours this year) and I can’t imagine what that looks like! I don’t want to do anything for 12 (or 8) hours. In the past, they were very much chatty and not very structured. But last year, they changed it so each hour had a technique/topic and the hosts were way more structured and prepared. Last year’s was way better! If they do it again like that, which I imagine they will, it’s worth $5.

OK - DD RAK here! I needed to destash so PM me if these are supplies you will use - would love to send to someone who has less to spend on stuff this year That's a gorgeous and super generous RAK, Texas Scrap ! Kudos to you and congratulations to the recipient. May this contribute to documenting many December memories... sleepingbooty What a cutie! She's beyond adorable. I always get Ikea's Christmas napkins every year. I like the subtle Christmas patterns. Most grocery stores have Christmas napkins, but they are a little intense for me.
Although, the heart Christmas tote is super cute too. Seems like a wasted trip, if I just go to get napkins, so the tote might come home too.
Any clue when this stuff gets released?

Any clue when this stuff gets released? Unlike most of IKEA's limited edition collections, the Vinter lines don't have a solid release date. Stuff starts coming in through early-ish autumn, usually. The best thing you can do is check your country's IKEA website regularly. Type in "vinter" and wait for the 2022 stuff to start appearing. As soon as an item you have your eye on shows, check the stock for your local store in the item description. The Vinter tote bags and the zippered box-shaped store-away bags (they hold a folded duvet for ex.) usually go pretty fast in my nook of the world (Western Europe) and are usually not restocked.

I do love the city paper in the main kit I was looking online and found some very nice townhouse row illustrations and I'm going to make my own. I've got that much of a handle on photoshop, if not more. If anyone likes the pattern of the floral album, I used photoshop to create a much larger size paper from the digital file they sent out in the email. I just copied and pasted it a bunch. PM me your email and I'll email it to you. I don't know how else to do it. sleepingbooty thanks for posting the IKEA stuff. I love the large tote. I'd also really like one of the rainbow ones. I heard Target had something similar. The little figure ornaments with their eyes closed are adorable. We haven't been to IKEA since before the pandemic. It's 1.5 hours away and we haven't needed anything. Maybe we'll do a little trip up there this Fall.

Also, just finished watching the various IG Reels and Ali recaps, and how did we not talk about the Jenny Simon Hanukkah class and digitals that are coming….Really excited to see both the theme (we celebrate Hanukkah with friends most years) and what Jenny does with the digital kit—she is so creative and talented

PSA: The box-shaped storage bags are often part of Vinter collections and hugely successful where I live. They sell out super quickly. The pattern changes yearly. I'm guessing they may use that Scandinavian heart pattern they're using for the regular tote for this one this year. Here's the 2019 edition (volume is around 75 litres/20 gallons):

Texas scrap- that was so nice of you to RAK your DD items. Seeing things like that make me so happy!
I agree on the 6x8. I do not like the 10x8 at all. I actually really like the 4x6 they have had in the past. I was thinking there might be a TN this year and would have been interested in that.
I love the IKEA stuff. Our closest one is 6 hours away.
I’m looking forward to the DD prep day and think the $5 is totally worth it.
If anyone bought the main kit and wants to sell the 1-31 white/gold strips please let me know!

Here's the 2019 edition (volume is around 75 litres/20 gallons): I had no idea they made the blue bags in holiday styles! We have a million of theses in blue for moving in my college kid and storing things, even for when I buy outdoor plants they are perfect for getting them from my car to the yard. Anyway, now I am definitely on the look out for the holiday totes and bags!!

I like the look of a number of the Winter items although still waiting for Ikea to open here in NZ! We do finally have an official announcement and a date though - land has been purchased and a full size store will open in Auckland with completion by the end of 2024. There will also be a full e-commerce offering together with smaller stores in Wellington & Christchurch to follow. Can't wait

Just sharing an update about AE’s Advent sticker set - she shared on Instagram stories that quantity is getting very low.
Thus prompted me to rewatch the spoiler video. She uploaded one to Instagram and this one is different than the previous one that moves fast and is set to music. The Instagram one she’s taking her time, it’s slower, and she describes materials - like there were a couple that are actually chipboard that I’d assumed were paper from the previous video. You can read some of the text on stickers, etc. it’s more spoil-y, if you’re into that. 🙂

They have been really pushing stamps for the past two days...they are nice stamps, but the prices... From stories it sounds like they are basically doing a preorder based on demand (and they will be ready to be in our boxes if we ordered) and they will Overbuy some, but then it will be limited when those sell out.

But part of me just thought that all the people who wanted that ornament already bought it and that’s it. Like no one else needs yet another mug.

This is what it seemed like from their post today. That they had talked with their manufacturer about fulfilling orders. They probably already had a certain quantity in production but can make more depending on demand so there's no selling out up until a certain point. A LOT of people were asking for the Laura W. poinsettia stamp to be remade.

Chiming in to agree that last year’s Paislee Press kit with the pink and red was hi.de.ous! That why it didn’t sell. Or should I say: HI DEO US
This year’s color scheme was SO much better.

You can definitely come and go. I never spend the day only watching. And I've sometimes only picked up maybe 3 to 5 ideas to implement. But I've found the digital resources or ideas great to add in to my repertoire over years. So 5 bucks is definitely good value 👌

@northrigg They were in the shop's DD sale earlier this summer! The 2021 main kit glitter titles were sold as a set for 3.99. I doubt they have any left since they sold out during that sale.
