I am mulling over the purchase of a die set from AliExpress, each number is approximately 2 inches/5 cm high. It looks like it would be easy to use year after year, dramatic and impactful without taking up too much precious estate thanks to that slim profile. Love that you get to play around by adding or withholding the outline. I can see doing the outline in a glitter paper or by adding embossing powder in a tone-on-tone finish for an edgy touch. Total cost with shipping is under 5€. What do the DD-ers think? Totally worth it! I agree with your idea of them being so versatile...I can see using them several different ways. They'd also be great for birthday themed things. Do you have a link?

I moved computer. I haven't got pse set up yet, so I printed a jpeg image of Alis messy circle stamp on vellum, applied glue using a glue pen, waited until it was partly dry and then rubbed foil over it.....later today will fussy cut them out. They aren't perfect, but good enough.

I can't even find these things when I know what I'm looking for! I would love a link please - for though I cut numbers using my Silhouette most years, there's something about die-cuts when they are as fine/close fitting as these. I think it's the clean cut and pressed edges that I find satisfying. These are particularly well proportioned I think. And I agree with blemon, I don't seem to see "believe" so much here around Christmas time either - unless it's a US import.

ali express is DANGEROUS for me I bought a Big Shot on ebay a couple months ago because it was really really cheap and one of those "someday..." things I wanted. I've bought a few dies here and there but haven't really gotten to use it much. Anyways I spent my weekend on and off just getting lost in the sauce adding random things to my wishlist and it's literally like suddenly hours have gone down the drain because you go from link to link to link..and on and on also sleepingbooty definitely get those numbers. they're are so versatile!

mom posted the link above for those wanting the slim number die set! I placed my order earlier today but didn't upgrade my shipping so it'll probably take several weeks to reach me. AliExpress orders even with long shipping delays have been getting to me quite quickly lately so I'm hoping these will be delivered in October. For those wanting the SC attacher dies for half the price (and free shipping!), they are here.

sleepingbooty I am in awe of the treasure you find on AliExpress. I can't even find these things when I know what I'm looking for! There are a few excellent AliExpress huntresses on the board. You should totally post an AX SOS post so we can help you find what you want. It's secretly fun, to be honest. Just managed to unearth a cute, hot pink, bone-shaped poop bag dispenser on there for the new hot pink dog leash I bought for my mother (on AX as well, of course). It's the small things in life (like scrapbooking dies)...

Oh, no problem with finding (some) AE on my side. A vendor is already selling the new holiday messy circles stamp set (using the basic image they posted, not even waiting for the proper digital file to be released, ahem)...

Ali’s present stamp was the first one to go - has a “notify me.” Kind of surprised by that. Maybe because it was one of the 19.99 vs 28.99 ones…
I did end up getting that one.

Watch the stamp test samples in the comments first to see if the quality is up to your standards. I think it's worth it for the stamp sets you want to use with colour inks or embossing powder but you don't see yourself using multiple times in the future (otherwise, just get the digital for the same price). Quality is floppy acrylic, not the nice photopolymer stuff we're used to. As long as you keep this in mind, you should be fine.

I really hope the DD digitals will be similar to last years prices and not the year before....e.g. 2021 paislee press digital kit $9.99. 2020 is still $14.49

I will wait for the reviews on the Christmas ones. Though not too long because you know Inked will have their lawyers yanking them.

Ok, rabbit hole of AX today.
After looking at stamps for nearly an hour, I started adding cat things to my cart for my daughter's advent calendar: cat scissors, white out, paper clips, bookmarks, spoons (YES, spoons!), and a regular swizzle stick because we saw the world's largest when we were on vacation this summer. Oh man. I got some good stuff.

I haven't had a chance to watch the Crafting with Krystal December Daily video yet( from the Facebook DD group). But Ali just shared a blog post recapping the Live with the video imbedded and lots of photos giving all kinds of ways to use stamps. I really liked some of Krystal's ideas!
She will do a new video and blog post each Thursday this month for DD ideas

I have no self control. I went today & placed 2 orders. Some of what I wanted was sold out & I'm telling myself I'm okay with that and won't obsess over it. The plastic stars I may try and recreate. After watching Krystal's video, I went back and purchased the tag/star stamp which at first glance I passed on because of the price. sleepingbooty, such a cute pup! He looks like he'd be full of mischief around a Christmas tree.

All imagines were stamped twice using Ranger jet black archival ink.
As you can see not all images have a clean stamp. On a separate piece of paper I tested out a few that didn't stamp great and even after 3 and 4 stamp impressions, they still were not clean - elf approved, round label, north pole.
The days left until stamp and jungle bells stamp are not cut well. They are breaking apart.
Also as you can see the word way will not stamp. It bends and won't stay straight on my Tim Holtz stamp system. It will also bleed when stamped more than 1 time.
Almost all of the sentiments with the tabs vol. 2 set will not fit in the round tab. All fit, some barely, in the triangle tab.
I will contacting them tomorrow. I want a replacement for the jingle all the way stamp.
I have had issues with other E.S products - stickers and jelly like sticky items not sticking or ripping.
Not sure if I will buy from them again.

What is interesting is some of the stamps stamped great on the first stamp down. Others need 2 and others need 3-4 stamps while a few still don't get fixed but rather get bleedy.

Thanks for sharing the photos. That's disappointing. My order won't ship until my kit ships this month but I will be sure to test out the stamps.

That’s too bad, I have some Elle’s Studio stamps, and they are fine, no issues stamping with them. I wonder if they changed their manufacturer?
