I have no self control. I went today & placed 2 orders. Some of what I wanted was sold out & I'm telling myself I'm okay with that and won't obsess over it. The plastic stars I may try and recreate. After watching Krystal's video, I went back and purchased the tag/star stamp which at first glance I passed on because of the price. sleepingbooty , such a cute pup! He looks like he'd be full of mischief around a Christmas tree. I keep looking at that tag/star stamp and I keep reminding myself that the digitals will be so much cheaper.... I love Krystal's work! I wish her videos were up on the blog rather than on Facebook, but I'm so impressed by the quality and quantity of her free content.

All imagines were stamped twice using Ranger jet black archival ink. As you can see not all images have a clean stamp. On a separate piece of paper I tested out a few that didn't stamp great and even after 3 and 4 stamp impressions, they still were not clean - elf approved, round label, north pole. The days left until stamp and jungle bells stamp are not cut well. They are breaking apart. Also as you can see the word way will not stamp. It bends and won't stay straight on my Tim Holtz stamp system. It will also bleed when stamped more than 1 time. Almost all of the sentiments with the tabs vol. 2 set will not fit in the round tab. All fit, some barely, in the triangle tab. I will contacting them tomorrow. I want a replacement for the jingle all the way stamp. I have had issues with other E.S products - stickers and jelly like sticky items not sticking or ripping. Not sure if I will buy from them again. I've had an issue with an ES stamp before. They sent me a whole new set. I recently bought another ES stamp set and the line is wonky like yours in the "days til Christmas" stamp. I'm just going to deal with it but it's annoying. I also had that bowed line issue with Kerry Bradford and they replaced the stamp. And now thinking about it, I have a FJ set that has that bowed line where it should be straight. It's a manufacturing issue for sure.

What is interesting is some of the stamps stamped great on the first stamp down. Others need 2 and others need 3-4 stamps while a few still don't get fixed but rather get bleedy. That's not good. Did you try using an eraser to condition it?

Did you try using an eraser to condition it? I just used my fingers. What kind of eraser? Like the school kind? I have a white latex free one.

How is the quality of the AX stamps? I've only bought one number stamp and I'm very pleased with the quality. It is not as stiff as the stamps I have bought elsewhere (Ali Edwards, Paper Person). But I don't have any problems stamping with them or putting them on the acrylic blocks. They're not that flimsy. I'll post some pics of stamping with them later tonight. I'm not a good stamper and I don't have anything fancy so that might be why I think they're fine.

Shu-Wen recommends using Mono Tombow sand erasers to "prime" stamps. I've been doing it for a while and it really seems to help. She's got a lot of great stamping videos that I learn from on YouTube: www.youtube.com/c/ChouxPuffCreations

You just rub an eraser on the stamp before you add ink, it helps hold the ink better. No idea why other then "SCIENCE!". You typically just have to do it the first time you use a stamp.

I used to do a lot of stamping. Then for 20 years I did not. Then everything changed from like actual rubber to the clear plastic. Maybe if my stamping starts to look better, I will do more of it.

merry27 This is what I told mom on the previous page regarding AX stamp sets. Also, keep in mind that small typed text won't be good when it comes to copying low quality digi files. They can't clean the lines up in Photoshop easily so they have to retype them with a font of their own. And they're net super well versed in the latin alphabet so they use text recognition software that sometimes gets it wrong. Watch the stamp test samples in the comments first to see if the quality is up to your standards. I think it's worth it for the stamp sets you want to use with colour inks or embossing powder but you don't see yourself using multiple times in the future (otherwise, just get the digital for the same price). Quality is floppy acrylic, not the nice photopolymer stuff we're used to. As long as you keep this in mind, you should be fine.

I don’t think the sentiments are meant to fit in the round tab -I think that’s just for the icons. I also haven’t had issues with my Elle’s studio stamps. Bummer. I got the Christmas tabs this year (the only thing I purchased from them) but I have t tried them out yet.

Huh. They added the papers from the quarterly number scrapbook kit to the paper section of the DD items. That’s kind of weird since it’s a current kit…

I don't think I'd want to use a rough eraser. I've also heard of stamping with versamark ink first to prime the stamp.

I say buy them! A little Christmas gift to yourself to not have to make them. You already know you love them in your other album. I’m surprised they haven’t sold out yet. I was debating last night maybe I should get the black felt numbers and now today they are gone. Don’t be me. 😂 Im kinda glad the black numbers sold out...I was debating them but *really* hated to spend $10 for them. mom The black felt numbers are showing back in stock (as of now)😉

I just tried my wink of stella gold marker and its dried out (not that I ever thought it was any good)...so I am in the market to get a new marker (or two). I might look for those posca pens instead sleepingbooty I will take you up on the die cut glitter word but only if they don't come in my mystery envelope! Thank you for the offer

That’s kind of weird since it’s a current kit… Ali said in one of the videos that the current kit would be great for DD because of all the numbers...athough I was thinking she was referring to the embellies and not the paper. So doesn't go with DD ...but anything to get people to buy!

I think she was also talking about a 12x12 sheet with rows of numbers 1-10 you could cut out. I’m using a gray one with one through ten (I have the perfect story for it) and another that’s white and red with “let me count the ways” 1-5.

And they haven't dried out in the few years I've owned them. I didn't know they had metallic! Adding to cart...
