I love this group's ire for the layered life kit so much. Y'all are the best. This is snark at its finest. I will need to see those embellishments for "real" before I would purchase. And I would not buy the whole kit. I'm into the retro vibe of it. On another note: I deeply regret not buying the little sprigs that crate paper sold last year or the year before. Does anyone still have any left? If so, can you take a closeup photo of them? I'm going to try to make them. Certainly I can find some sort of greenery to cut down and tape... These?

I think they were just like a spray (or sprig), not a wreath. Also realizing we have a lot of words for "part of branch."

I know exactly which ones you are talking about. They were from the Snowflake collection and it was a pack of pine branches.
I just used the last couple of branches I had, otherwise I would have offered them to you. I can try and take a close up photo of them a bit later for you.

The Layered Life kit feels like something Gen Z would roll their eyes and be like: "Mooooom, stop embarrassing me!"
I could accept "festive as fuck" were it not for the icon they used. At least embrace the grumpiness of it all. There are grumpy cat icons out there! "Magical & shit" is beyond my comprehension. What's going on? It's the Christmas lights downtown explained by a stoner after his third spliff of the evening, I swear... "All I want for Christmas is coffee & scrapbook stuff" Ok, the scrapbook stuff, yes. The coffee, not sure. I mean, if you're going to I'm-not-a-regular-mom-I'm-a-cool-mom this kit, go all in and say wine. Again, embrace the vibe you're going for. I have never thought to myself that what I wanted for Christmas was coffee. I don't know. Did I miss a holiday meme here?
However, I really do like 2 of the pattern papers shown: the plum-magenta design with oversized floral/leafy pattern (ugh, it's giving me Jamaica Edgell x Kelly Purkey Christmas mini kit from a few years back - loved that one so much) and the Christmas tree print right next to it.

I think I'm in the minority, but I'm kind of digging the Layered Life kit. Last year my partner grabbed a bunch of old wrapping paper that was sitting in his parents basement in the spirit of having us use it up--the paper was all so hideous but I came to love the retro, campy look of all that vintage goodness under the tree. This kit definitely has that vibe. BUT the kits are super expensive once I factor in exchange rate and shipping. I will have to carefully look at at the embellishments before I buy because I likely won't have a use for ALL of them.

H&M has some beautiful Christmas products this year. Here are a few of my faves... 1. This absolutely adorable reusable fabric Advent calendar for only 14.99€. Bellhop mouse? Candy cane-clutching bunny? Metal hoops to hang your daily gifts from? Yes, yes, yes. It just came in stock on the French H&M website so it might not be available everywhere just yet but definitely something to look out for. 2. A table runner featuring a townscape with row houses, people and even a few passing cars. The background is in gold yellow and soft grey for a touch of luxury! This one retails for 9.99€ in Europe. 3. Last but not least, the row house cookie jar! It's about 25 cm/10 inches high so definitely a statement piece for the kitchen or living room. Perfect all year round. The soft grey outlines make it an easy piece to pair with so many things or have sit in the background of your contemporary Nativity scene/ornament display scene. It retails for 19.99€.

Yes. Thank you! I'm going to print that out and take it with me to michaels or somewhere. There's just something less fake about this one. It's almost hemlock.

I do not for the life of me understand why they didn't add the old kits to the current DD site. But that's Inked for you. They will hang on to things for years and years and years. Yeah no, I didn't add a thing to my cart. Already having regret-si-itis about my cart as it is!

LOL I feel like 30 mini classes for $20 is pretty decent. I’m not doing it because I have a block against buying classes in general 😂 but if I WERE class buying type I think I would. I am going to fork over the $5 for prep day which is huge for me! Lol

I noticed all the believe sweatshirts are sold out except medium (my size) and I considered buying one. What the hell. I don’t even really like it. I closed the browser and stepped away. Just ship my damn box and end this. 😂

And then having to have a talk with myself that it’s probably going to be 99 degrees at Christmas here so I probably won’t get a lot of wear out of it…. I have a serious problem and need a peas intervention 🤣 How about they add random crap to what you can add to your box like they did in the recent sc sale… you should see the bunches of random crap I added to cart to get combined shipping! AND I NEEDED NOnE IF IT 🤭😵💫

Ok, its almost Last Call (thank you Jesus!) for the DD boxes with Ali. Anyone grabbing anything last minuet? I’m sticking with what is already in my box. I thought about adding a couple of different things throughout the last week, but I just really don’t want to spend anymore money, so I’m calling it done. I don’t think I’ve added anything to my box since the second day, so I’m very ready for it to just ship already 😂

You know... the last few days.. there has been so much Dec Past (or whatever) love that I've seen.. I was really struggling with not buying the butt ugly kit (since I had a box anyway!) for the class!!
Literally would have been more willing to pay $20 for class access only.. than to make peace with spending $15 more to get product/class. I'm unreasonably annoyed by it.

As an international, I bought the beige linen album to ship with my box yesterday and last Minute 2 stamp sets hopped into my cart. The numbers set is very versatile and the messy circle one as the fun thing. Both sets will be used very much because I love to stamp. It took me so long to decide which stamp sets I wanted the most lol.

A word of caution to internationals: UPS will likely deliver these AE DD boxes and their handling fee for collecting VAT is out rageous. I mean, crazy high. We're talking just a few cents shy from 25€ in France. Again, I'm happy to pay VAT. It's taxes and it benefits the collective but fuck UPS And the other private shipping companies making huge bucks from this. As a comparison, anything shipped from the US by USPS and then handed over to the French national posting system, La Poste, who collects taxes, costs me 2€ in handling fee.

Also, I still think the Christmas Past class will eventually be made available to buy separately at some point in the future. They're going to wait until DD 2022 is over but I can totally see them opening access afterwards. Maybe they'll withhold the digitals with Ali's handwriting to keep it fair (wouldn't even count on that, to be honest), but I really think they'll end up making bonus money from the class down the line. Wouldn't panic just yet over not having bought Pam's kit for class access.

I also fully expect Ali + Pam will share enough of their album online that no one will *really* need a class to get the ideas she is sharing.
