@legal_lady I love that idea.
I want to something different for my calendar this year but I also don’t want the hassle of a digital template. I like something physical and hands on.
Scraps of paper and stuff will look super cool.

I just got mine? Obsessed with what? I thought it was just toys? I love the paper that they used and I can't believe I'm saying this but I love the colours, especially the orangey red! Goes so beautifully with the sage green, bluey frosted ice, kraft and the stormy grey! I also love the font used for the title page, the ombre effect & the animals. From the book there are several pages/themes that can be incorporated into my album - road to remember -sharing -story of the sweater -wish lists -tickets - hugs -toys we love (from the past) - season of giving -journey - cheer -dress up - colouring -merry memories I'm either thinking that I use this as my album, adding in pages OR I cut the pages out and use them in my album OR I wait and use it for another year .... Either way that would mean throwing out my plans for this year But mostly I am now obsessed by the orangey red. Thanks for the details! We usually Get the catalogue, so I will be on the look out!!

Phew guys, I finally caught up on this thread! I love all the chatting but it took me forever to get to the end. I've decided for this year I'm going to do a super mini size using an older album from Jamaica, I think it's 4x5? Definitely a big switch up from 10x8 last year! I might've picked up too many supplies... I got a few things from Ali (including the main kit), the Felicity Jane collection (because it's their last year), Freckled Fawn's Kit, and Layered Life. I did do a major purge of my stash before ordering for this year so that's at least something right? Ha. I also am sure I will use some of these supplies in other places, like Project Life, and I will have to save everything that doesn't work in the mini size for another year or sell/give it away. I'll share more about my plans on my youtube channel later. How did you guys get the Amazon catalog, I want one!! I had so many other thoughts as I was reading through this thread but I've forgotten them now... oh well. I also finished my 2021 album and shared a flip through on my youtube. ETA: Oh! I remembered something, ha. sleepingbooty I love love love your mood board idea (I can't remember what you called it now, sorry if that's wrong). I think I'm going to do a spin on this DURING the month of December though... I was thinking of making a page with 25 little squares on it, one for each day, and then after I create the page for that day I am going to fill in that day's square with a scrap or something from that day with a focus on the products I used. Then, at the end of the month, I will have a page documenting the products from December Daily 2022. Thanks so much for the inspiration! Linda - I just wanted to say I loved your 2021 album and appreciate your posts and videos! I also really appreciate you sharing all of the context of what influences your stories. You are such a talent and I hope you always continue to share your creations!

I’m pretty happy to report that I made it to the end of the AE boxing window without succumbing to the main kit. 😅 I had a few weak moments, but I stayed the course. It’s probably my favorite DD kit I’ve seen of hers, but I kept reminding myself that while I loved the whole of it, once I broke it into the parts I liked it less. There were many components I just didn’t care about. My favorite item are those big colorful acetate titles. That’s the one piece I’ll regret not having.

Sigh. It’s depressing that my AE order hasn’t even shipped yet as it’s always a good ten days at least to get it once it ships. Maybe it will come before Christmas. 😂

I plan to keep sharing & have some fun things planned over the next few months! That is great. I am really thankful that you shared your album, that you finished it, and that you shared the context and the hard times as well. Sometimes we all paint such a pretty picture of our lives but it's so important to be honest too. And your album is incredible.

Well I've got my DD shipping notice. UPS estimate a delivery date of the 7th October which considering the package hasn't even left the warehouse yet I don't think that'll be happening. I think it took a good week to leave the warehouse last year You might be pleasantly surprised Charwee . My label was created on 30/9 and by 4/10 it was in Honolulu and yesterday it arrived in Botany (Australia). It's coming UPS Worldwide Expedited.

In a post on Ali's blog today, they posted some Christmas stencils as alternatives to the ones that were sold out. I thought the Paper Rose Christmas tree one was pretty cute, and also the ornament one. Obviously they aren't the same as Ali's but a nice little collection.

Sorry my USA sisters but MY AE DD BOX JUST ARRIVED 🙌🏻🤩😵😏🙃😆🤪🥳🤗 What sucks is had I used any of my relatives' addresses at home in Belgium and then had them re-ship the package to my US address I'd probably have my damn package by now. It's ridiculous how they do things. Just let us place an order and then ship the items as the order is placed. No months long boxing period followed by shipping all around the world and then oh yeah afterthought shipping to US customers. Ugh why do we do this every year?!? lol Eh maybe it'll arrive in time for Christmas in July. 🙍

And for the $40 aud I paid for the box to be posted to me before I even bought anything…. 🥰 I can’t wait to hear when all the USA peas get theirs so we can start playing together I want inspiration and photos and all the good stuff!

Hey so I'm super behind on this thread, barely thinking about Christmas yet! Does anyone know if Geralyn Sy is designing for anyone or is likely to be releasing her own digital cards again this year? I have used hers before and printing at a shop is still going to be cheaper than getting most things sent internationally for me. Thanks

Not gonna lie, as an international, it's a little funny seeing some US DD customers get so anxious over not getting their DD parcels first. Come on, people, internationals have usually weeks if not months of wait to get their stuff. I believe Brazilian scrapbookers have on average a 4-month wait for their goods to arrive... Imagine that. That's a whole season! This is an exception. You'll get all your lovely stuff well in time for December. And no crazy high international shipping for you to pay either. No need to be so dramatic. To lg, anniefb and others who've freshly received their new DD products: enjoy! There's nothing quite like rifling through fresh paper goodies. I'm so glad you're getting your boxes delivered well in time this year. I remember some internationals not being able to start their DD in years past because their AE stuff was still travelling come December 1st. It's nice to see this problem solved.

Hey so I'm super behind on this thread, barely thinking about Christmas yet! Does anyone know if Geralyn Sy is designing for anyone or is likely to be releasing her own digital cards again this year? We're waiting to see. She hasn't been very good with her own shop these past couple of years. She didn't score the Pinkfresh 2022 Christmas collection. No FYC anymore. No Ali Edwards mini kit or collab products. Fingers crossed we'll see new designs from her somewhere! I’m pretty happy to report that I made it to the end of the AE boxing window without succumbing to the main kit. 😅 I had a few weak moments, but I stayed the course. Congratulations! I hope your favourite main kit components will end up as separate items in the shop next summer. It's the bestest reward for having skipped a kit despite loving a few products in it. For all the dachshund loving dd makers I remember on the peas thread from last year EuroPeas who love doxxies: Hema is putting forward Takkie, legendary Dutch illustrator Fiep Westendorp's dachshund character, for their Christmas collection again. Product images in the spoiler. There are gift tags: Gift bags: Gift wrap: Glass ornament: And a giant Christmas mug: Oh! I remembered something, ha. sleepingbooty I love love love your mood board idea (I can't remember what you called it now, sorry if that's wrong). I think I'm going to do a spin on this DURING the month of December though... Then, at the end of the month, I will have a page documenting the products from December Daily 2022. Thanks so much for the inspiration! My pleasure! I'm glad to hear the brand board inspired you to think of making a product calendar page for December. That sounds like a very neat way to use up extra scraps. We tend to erase ourselves as scrapbookers, just doing the grind of documenting and letting all the work, the time, the energy, the products that went into these projects disappear. I love the idea of making all of it reappear. We are creative minds with artistic endavours. Let's celebrate that, all the work we do and all the pretties we oh-so carefully select!

Sorry my USA sisters but MY AE DD BOX JUST ARRIVED 🙌🏻🤩😵😏🙃😆🤪🥳🤗 Big Congrats! I 100% support having International shipping first given the headaches you all normally face plus the cost to ship. Mine has not shipped yet, but I am happily busy with Halloween and October Occasionally. Hopefully everyone will have their goodies by the end of October.

I'm so glad you're getting your boxes delivered well in time this year. I remember some internationals not being able to start their DD in years past because their AE stuff was still travelling come December 1st. It's nice to see this problem solved. I wasn't trying to be dramatic. My apologies that it came across that way. I do think it's crazy that I placed an order on 31Aug and that as of 06Oct I don't have so much as a shipping notice. But (shrug) that's how she does things. The point I was trying to make was that I dislike her way. lol I think that companies should simply present their product and ship as items are ordered. No months long boxing period. No priority customers, just fill the order and ship as the orders are placed. I'm both an international and US pea. I can say with complete honesty that I've never received any Ali Edwards package within a week of ordering. In fact,in my experience,she has some of the slowest shipping regardless of your location. When receiving packages at home (Belgium) they would sometimes arrive quicker than when I order/ship in the US. Sometimes they take longer, much longer. Generally when I ship with Ali within the US it takes about a week for the order to be fulfilled. Then I receive a shipping notice and my package arrives about 10 days after the notice. I was super excited for Christmas and DD this year. My mum passed in 2019 so Christmas just didn't exist for us that year. I'm an emergency medicine physician and work in a level 1 trauma centre. Christmas 2020 and 2021 were super Covidy. I was exhausted in every sense of the word and the holiday again just wasn't. I'm finally moving forward from my mum's death and the world is getting back to " normal" a tiny bit. But this constant ordering and then waiting weeks if not months for product (not just Ali) is putting a huge damper on that for me. Of the four companies I've ordered from I've received one package. No shipping notices even from the others. Yes I knew Ali,in particular, takes forever to ship when I ordered. It's entirely on me.I was simply trying to say that I wish these companies would present their DD releases as regular product:you place an order and then it ships with no boxing period regardless of where you live or how much you spent etc. Fulfill and ship orders as they come in. Again apologies for being dramatic. That wasn't my intention. I'm sorry I didn't make my point more clear, I probably still didn't. lol I hope those that have received their products enjoy! Have fun with your goodies!

justkat It's all fine, no worries. I really don't think you'd get your parcel quicker having it shipped to Belgium and back to the US, however, as you stated. I don't think we even have a UK Pea with their goodies yet, mostly AU/NZ Peas so far. As an international who still orders regularly from Inked, I can assure you the parcels still often sit in the warehouse for days on end after the shipping label has been created before the actual postal journey even begins. Deep breaths! Your parcel will reach you soon-ish, I'm sure. I understand your frustration with the long boxing period and the harsh pandemic you've been through right after your mother's passing. My belated condolences. Thank you for your continued service through this b*tch of a virus. But it's coming. And hopefully, with that box of goodies, a quieter and more enjoyable December season for you as well. You deserve a bit of calm, some time to grieve and reconnect with the holidays after losing your parent and then having 2 pandemic Christmases. I hope your new paper goodies help you find your way back to some more innocent and happy times. Hang in there. December goodness is loading...
