So strange. The link still results in "Forbidden" so I went to Vimeo and searched for Kelly Sill...also "Forbidden." Thanks for trying to help, JavaJones ! I guess I'm not meant to see it.  I can't see it either. I wonder if we are supposed to have a Vimeo account in order to see it. Oh, well! ETA--I tried it again, and now it's working! Not sure why or what I did wrong before. I saw the FB post - feels like maybe more work that I want to put in  OK peas - how would you try to replicate the gold foiling on the trees? I have a Minc, but obvs it will minc everything that is uncovered, so that won't work for the gold decorated trees. Any tips? There are transparent paints for minc that I used before, its a little bit more messy, but I do like the look. its the clear Heidi Swapp texture paste. www.scrapbook.com/store/ac-315275.html |

I typically do not make digital only projects, but these December Daily photo books are beautiful, using all AE DD digitals. Just got the email to sign up for prep day. For anyone that has done this before, did you get some super cute digital downloads?
Or is it just listening to how they get ready for december? I've already signed up for product play & I'm feeling a no buy coming on after spending so much in her shop already. What's $5 more, right? I don't want to nickel & dime myself out of something worthwhile, but I'm feeling grinchy about spending more.

Just got the email to sign up for prep day. For anyone that has done this before, did you get some super cute digital downloads? I did it last year. The $5 was worth it. There were some good digitals but I don't think I actually ended up using them. It was just a fun day where I felt part of a community. I don't know anyone around here who does this so it was fun. I watched all the videos and lives. It was a good day to take stock of what I had and make lists of what I needed and things I wanted to try to do in the album. Lots of inspiration. I got the email today and purchased right away. |

I think I have done two prep days, one I loved, the other I did after the fact and still got something out of it.
For $5 I feel they are totally worth it.

I have always loved the prep days. And for $5...if you only use the digitals that are in the class, you've done well. The topics look good this year, and I love Ali and Krystal's ideas...holy smokes, is the Linda in the class our lasteve1? If so, you know that will be good, too. Another question: what are the measurements on those darned plastic trees? I had to get the digital version, and would like to make sure I print them out to be the same size are the physical version Thank you in advance!! |

Iirc, there were some digitalis provided in the class for free, but later became for sale items. Once they were available in the shop, the download link was no good (or something like that.) I opened a convo, and they gave me the digital, but make sure you download anything, just in case.
I followed the prep day a bit last year. In some ways I found it a little hokey, but I really enjoyed it, because as a PP said, it gave me time to take stock of what I had, do some purging, and also to work on finishing my 2020 album, in the DD mood, at the same time.
Well worth the $5

I can't wait ETA - I had to miss the live event last year, and will this year, because of an event at my daughter's college, and it was still totally worth it to watch the videos and the downloads, but I do prefer doing in live. |

My Ali order arrived in Florida today. I got the floral album and envelope bundle. mom review of them is spot on! Someone here, several pages back, mentioned wanting just the JOY envelope. Let me know if it was you. I would be happy to send it to you. The envelope is too big for a 6X8 album and I don’t ever see myself doing DD in a 10X8. Ohhh I didn't even realize the size of the Joy envelope! I'm just going to punch holes in the long side so I can use it in my 6x8 album (at least I hope it will work!) |

So, I just got a notification from Ali E that my order of large plastic trees is not getting filled because of inventory issues. Y'all, I put in my only 2 orders day one within minutes and I have been patiently waiting for my order to ship and very very not pleased with this notification  . I mean, I get inventory issues, but also, I dropped over $200 and have been waiting almost 3 weeks for my order to ship. Been an Ali customer since early days - 10 years - including subscriber. I know one order of plastic trees is not a deal breaker, but this was one of the things I was very intentional about ordering - top 3-4 item I wanted. The digital file they gave me, while well intended, is not an easily recreated thing. I sent a conversation message back expressing my disappointment. I hate being the negative person, but there are plenty of other things I ordered I would be sad, but OK with not getting. This just happened to be one of the things I wanted the most . Thanks for letting me vent. Kind of puts a damper on the fun. Ugh that's ridiculous Texas Scrap. So disappointing. They should have been inventory control. |

My December Daily box from Studio Calico finally arrived today. I was shorted 2 items. The 2 x 2 die cut paper and the stitched canvas tags and envelopes from last year. Of course I started a conversation. I am frustrated that they can't get their inventory correct. As a consolation I received a download for the die cut paper but I need a refund ASAP. I hope this process doesn't take 3 weeks like it took to ship to me. So sorry to hear of more inventory stuff ups queenbeeof3. Ridiculous and so disappointing. |
