There is a red joy, green grid, and snowflake. Seriously, I wouldn't put it past me to pick up the green grid and try to cut something with a rotary cutter on it. I would have sworn I bought it Welcome to my world! <I really am sorry you can't find the stamps and hoping that they turn up for you right quick.> Just realised that I'm missing the tree-centred nested circles from the main kit. Grr, bloody annoying, especially as I wanted to use it today. Off to customer service I go. How disappointing! CONGRATULATIONS! What an amazing trip to look forward to. I just have to say thanks to everyone who talked me into signing up for prep day. I had so much fun that I went & bought the class from last year and 2020. I liked this so much more than product play. YEAH! I've never taken any of these classes, but I'm glad that you're having a good time. Nothing bad… just not as exciting as I had hoped? :-( It is very early still, so maybe something yet will catch your imagination. If you at looking for vintage inspiration, If vintage means "do you remember this from your childhood?", then I'm officially vintage.

EARLYBF50 for 50% off classes and digital. Today through Friday. Many of the retired project-based digitals (December Daily, One little Word, Week in the Life etc) have been brought back for $1. I bought some older main kits and Paislee Press kits as well as layered templates. Spent $5 and apparently saved $60 on the original price - which I never would have paid, but good value! Are these Ali Edwards?

If vintage means "do you remember this from your childhood?", then I'm officially vintage. My grandparents were born in the early 1900's and we frequently celebrated Christmas at their home. A lot of their decorations were like the links I posted. So, part of my childhood too. I have a few of my grandma's decorations.

Anybody taking advantage of the digital sales? I feel like I should pick some up, but am overwhelmed. Maybe the photo templates for DD? Help!
Also, the cascading December with the E and M on their sides makes me irrationally angry. Every time I see it used I seethe. 😂

Also, the cascading December with the E and M on their sides makes me irrationally angry. Every time I see it used I seethe. 😂 I think what's overwhelming is that they've added all of the old digitals to the shop, including ones that were supposedly retired. I wish there was a better way to search. Layered templates are a good way to go because they are so flexible. You can recolor things and use them for projects outside of DD. Just because it's 50% off doesn't mean you have to buy something. That's what I keep telling myself. It's still spending even if it's only half of what it normally is. I already have what I need for DD, both physically and digitally. I may pick up a couple of the classes, and usually they include some digital downloads. I've gotten used to the December with the E and M on their sides! Don't know why, but it's grown on me.

I was looking at AliExpress for miniatures and found these Starbucks cups. I kind of want them even though they are barbie size. I get a hot chocolate from there maybe twice a year.

If you're on the hunt for pom pom trim and don't want to buy an entire spool from the craft store my Dollar Tree had cards in the Christmas section today with 3 yards each in red, white, & green. Nice way to add a little texture to some pages!

Enabler! This is awesome. I added that to my cart but I have some images like that so I may try it with those. I also have some Xmas shrinks dinks in my Xmas crafts bin so I’m also going to see what size those end up. I never thought to use them in my DD. Thanks!

Ok, need your brain power. I can’t seem to get the 8x10 size out of my head, so I’m using it this year. I count on my collection of page ideas I’ve sketched out over the years. Many of them do not translate well to 8x10. Any suggestions on who I should check out?
My 3 very favorite DD designers are Amy Gretchen, Sheree Forcier and Barbara P. I adore their clean, bright, uncluttered style. Anyone else who has a similar style I should be looking at?

How's everyone doing, if you've chosen to do some prep work for DD?
I have started 3-4 pages, but wont finish them til December. But I wrote down my plan for each page and stuck it on a sticky note with the supplies. What I am struggling with is my cover page + why. Ugh. That should be the easiest page but I am not inspired just yet.
Edited to add: I am not completing days ahead of time....I am just getting some started. Like I know I want to include a calendar, so I am working on that. I know I want to use 'x' paper for a pocket, so I am doing that ahead of time.

Once I'm a few pages in I know. I've tried making before but it just doesn't work well for me at all

I go along as December happens. I will work on my cover page over break this next week and may do some fun inserts. But I like to work as I go, that way I can pick the layout I want depending on the photos from that day.

I'm not one to prep in advance. I'll write down ideas but won't do anything until I have the story and pictures. I'm still finishing my DD2021. I got really motivated after the class Saturday. Went back and watched last years class and now I am on a roll.

What I am struggling with is my cover page + why. Ugh. Same. I usually have a good idea and I'm excited to make it but nothing is coming to me this year. I don't make any other layouts in advance but I do like to prep a few things because I have a little time now (and lots over break next week). I made a page with three of the heart pockets. I don't know what I'll use it for but it will be good to have that for a quick story. I'll use it for whatever fits or save it for another year. I also stitched up a stocking from prep day and I love it. Again, no clue how or if I'll use it but it will be so easy on a busy day just to make a couple of tags to stuff inside and call it done. I also got some of the would you rather cards ready and I'll have my nieces and nephews fill those out on Thanksgiving. Then I'll take photos of their gifts (or them) and stick on the back. Whatever. I typically get photos but it might be fun to take them this year since I'll have most of them together. I typically like playing around with stuff but I'm not feeling it yet this year. Luckily I have the swap stuff coming. I think that will really spark some ideas once I get to dig in.

I just went through Shu-wen's albums from last year and my god she has like 800 hours in a day to make every day creative and interactive! The only thing I think I'm doing prior to December is making my cover and back but then it requires me to finally decide on what paper(s) I want to cover my chipboard with and that's a big decision

We're more than halfway through the month...for those of you who are doing Product Play do you think it was worth it? I have absolutely no ideas bubbling in my mind about how to get started on my 2022 DD and I'm thinking (hoping) that Product Play may spark some creativity.
