If someone could send me the YTer's channel, I'd be grateful. Want to go on a thumbs up campaign for their videos.  ETA: Someone can always leave the YTer a message linking back to this discussion so she knows not to be paranoid about every new follow. Leaving love on her videos when you freshly sub (likes + comments) will also help ease her mind that some people are newly following in support of her, not to report back to Janet/RTS Patreon group or systematically downvote. Channel is reading the posts when she can handle it. Channel already saw one comment like this and it was a green flag right away. From a YT stand point - or some helpful info: - thumbs up or down work the same: any engagement is good engagement to the AI - watching the video and the longer the retention on a video is what helps a channel creator be recommended to people who watch similar channels and may be interested - for ANY channel you as a viewer are trying to "support" or "help" is to just enjoy the content, engage via likes or comments, recommend to others who may like their style (this goes for any type of content on YT), and watch the entire video if the time is available. Watching the first few minutes then backing out does what the AI is supposed to do for the viewer - you back out because the content is not for you, so you will be recommended similar content less. If you watch a new to you channel all the way through, you will see more of their stuff recommended to you (kind of like how tiktok figures out what you like to watch and really narrows it down) |

The fb group has now decided they are going to delete any posts that reference the incident as they have decided they don't want to "add any fuel to the fire". I feel the horse has well and truly bolted on that one. There are still posts in the group that mention it, but the notice they are deleting only went up <1 hour ago so maybe they are still working through them all. I'm waiting for the minions to make a YT video about the drama and why they support her, yada yada yada... I'm fully expecting veiled videos about the need to show kindess and how bullying is unacceptable and a dear friend was unfairly on the receiving end, blah, blah, blah. I followed one or two people who are firmly in Janet's camp on youtube but I unsubscribed from them yesterday. There is a post requesting people contribute "uplifting" cards or embellishments that currently has over 500 comments so I have no doubt Janet will do a video on the topic once those arrive. |

I don't think that word means what they think it does.
"uplifting" doesn't count when you're punching down at all the other crabs in the bucket. The cognitive dissonance between their own behaviour and the supposed "insult" is ... I have no words.

I just want to say that I love the peas! Ya’ll can cut through the crap and see reality.
The RTS group feed is full of such eye roll-worthy naval gazing and clearly groupthink/ bullying behavior toward the youtuber. It’s so hypocritical. I’m pretty sure I know who the youtuber is, already love and support her. I saw some of Janet’s original response posts and was appalled. Someone posted a response to Janet calling her out for being unprofessional, and I totally agreed (and there were lots of likes on that reply, before it was deleted and I’m sure the likers banned). I hadn’t left the group because I was still following the drama, but I can’t take them anymore. Gag. The worship and genuflection is more than I can bear. (More beer?)
