I didn't see a thread for this but Pink Fresh announced their lineup for the 2023 Create & Connect events. Registration for the first event starts in October. I am a Jennifer McGuire fangirl so I am for sure signing up for the Feb event...plus I just love Pink Fresh! Thoughts?? Attachments:

I’m so torn on the card making class. While I like Pink Fresh products, most are a bit too artisticly floral for me but with Jennifer McGuire as a teacher, I really want to join.
Hopefully this weekend crop and create will announce their teachers for 2023 and that will help me make a decision. This is going to be a hard decision.

I’m planning on doing the February card event. It’s a great time of year for it (for me) and I want to see what it’s all about.

I've never attended but 2023 might be the year. I am glad they are continuing virtual.

I'm on the fence. I love doing online classes and they've gotten me into some new companies and new card ideas. But Pink Fresh is a lot more flowery than usually I am.

It looks great but I don’t think I’d like the supplies coming with the class. What if I don’t like some of the supplies or already have something similar. Has that ever been an issue with you?
I’m doing Hero Arts Stamp Along. It’s just two days of online classes. They haven’t shown the cards yet, just a sneak peek, but they had the supply list. I have a lot of similar supplies already but did buy 2 stamp sets.

I just attended the scrapbooking event, though I haven't made any pages yet. The layouts were definitely floral heavy, but most of the designs/concepts were not. Most of floral patterned paper had a non-floral side. Stamp/washi/die were floral. The kit included full collections (patterned paper and embellishments) for three collections so it was definitely worth the cost to me. But I love Pinkfresh. I'll need to see what collections are included before I decide on attending the next event.

I've done two of the virtual card classes and I have liked all of the supplies I have received but I am a fan of their florals, stencils, sentiments & hot foil plates. I'll have to check out the Hero Arts Stamp Along!

Pink Fresh unboxing done...some beautiful items. I sent my PDF to FedEx/Kinkos to be printed and bound. Will do homework later this week. Luckily it doesn't look like there is a lot.

I’ve donated PinkFresh floral supplies from a C&C event for card making even though I like the aesthetic because many are similar to each other.

Here are the products we received. First...just to compare the size of the box to SCT. Now, SCT is multiple companies and then a whole Friday of make-n-takes, so the number of over all classes is much different. Swag for PF Box Contents. I'm excited about the sentiments! I'll be sure to share the card projects as I complete them this weekend. One difference between PF and SCT is that we do 2 cards per two hour class (4 classes total, 2 each day). Each class has a make-n-take. So a total of 12 cards over two days.

cmpeter I'm doing the Pinkfresh classes this weekend as well! I love the Christmas sentiments! I really like how they are continuing to make the sentiment stamp one large piece and the die one large die so you can cut it all out at once. I think the floral bauble ornament would be pretty for a wedding card too. I've done all the homework - just need to pull my inks. I'm going to the Scrapbook Expo Friday so I'm planning to pull my inks tonight. I had a hard time getting good cuts on the Deco frames and the snowflakes but was finally able to get them to work with some shims in my Gemini. I was a bit disappointed they did not include cardstock this time. I seem to remember they did when I took their class in Nov 2021. I also wish the booklet came already printed. Those two things aren't going to stop me from doing future events - just more of a wish list on my part.

Thank you cmpeter. There isn't a thing I don't like about what you received. I'll be curious to hear about techniques learned during the event and I hope you have fun! I want to add that unlike mbanda, I really am not a fan of the attached sentiment stamps and coordinating dies. Most of the time I stamp and die one sentiment over and over for a group of cards. Having them all attached to each other (IMHO) makes this much more complicated. :/ Is there a tip or trick to doing one single sentiment that I'm missing?

I have done pinkfresh card events+scrapbook event and also SCT card events + scrapbook event. They both are being handled very differently. Below are some pros and cons for both events according to me.
SCT events -They create alot of hype. There is a constant chatter in the group about large no. of students who attend this event. I like all the excitement but then comes a point where I feel down by their constant talk about having a big event. It's tacky in my opinion. -Alot of products. If you are looking to get alot more product then this is a good event. For me, I do not like all the manufactures designs they represent in the event. During my last event, I gave away almost 50% product I got in my box. Last one I attended was the one where they had the stamp market and Pinkfresh included and I loved their projects. I did not sign up in the latest event because they dropped stamp market and pinkfresh both. Other one I loved was C9. -Their classes are very fast paced. I can never complete anything in the class. -They send printed copy of instructions. It's like a booklet so I do not have to worry about printing it. And that's awesome. -I have to cut apart some dies. I hate cutting dies apart because once I injured my finger pretty bad. -They have classes in between breaks. I personally am not a fan of that format. I know I can watch it later but then my FOMO kicked in during my last event with them and I ended up watching it. But I was so tired. -It's all about more. More companies, more projects, more products, more hype, more no. of students and at the end I felt lost. - I did their scrapbook class last year as well. They did not provide full collections and projects were very basic. -Their selection of instructors is not as versatile. Projects are very basic and predictable from their instructors and that's because they need to finish 3 cards in 90 mins. That's a lot. -I enjoy chat sessions with instructors once they finish the class. -Classes are expensive compare to pinkfresh.
In general I find SCT events overwhelming. But if you like to receive alot of product then this is good.
Pinkfresh events -They provide less product compare to SCT but I personally like their aesthetic so I use everything I get in my box. Nothing went to waste for me. Their kits are still value for the money. I definitely felt that I got alot more product for the amount I paid for. -Classes are cheaper compare to SCT. -They do not provide printed instructions. When I first did their event (their first one), they sent in an extra stamp set instead of a printed booklet. But it would be nice to have a printed booklet handy. I do not mind paying for it. -They give one hour break between each class and I can grab a quick snack or lunch and finish my project if I can. I completed 3 classes and all make and takes before the event ended. I felt a bit more productive and used all the products I received. -Their selection of instructors is top notch. I love all of their instructors. I always find their classes more informative. I end up learning alot of tips and tricks. -Their freebie/swag is always usable. I remember getting a lovely floral pouch which was high quality and a brass triangle tray and for their scrapbook event we received a stamp press tool. I was wondering about a stamp press tool in a scrapbook event at first but it made sense because they did a stamping class for a layout. -I did not have to cut any dies apart and their one piece dies are awesome because I do not loose them. -I wish they have more interactions with the instructors. -During their scrapbook event, they announced that all Canadian and european customers will have their shipping included with duties and taxes so that's amazing. This excludes UK as per their post. Me and a friend of mine from Germany craft together online and she was so happy to hear this. -Their scrapbook event had 3 full collections included and 2 full product suites (that's what they called it). It was alot of product we received.
I find pinkfresh events more instructional and more educational.
I still might do SCT event depending on the companies they bring on board for next year. But I will definitely do pinkfresh with Jennifer joining them and also their scrapbook event because they have Paige, Steffi and also Anett.

I have done both events as well but I haven't done the scrapbook events from either company so it was nice to hear your take on those as well. I agree with a lot of what you have said. For sure the SCT event is rush, rush, rush! I also agree some of the product is not to my taste and I even skipped one of classes completely because I did not like the project. I do love getting a printed booklet though! I'm excited about the addition of Jennifer McGuire to the Pinkfresh event because I feel she always comes to the table with a new technique or something else out of the box. I really feel like I will learn something new with JM teaching - no shade to the current PF instructors, I always love their projects too!

Something new Pinkfresh added in their holiday event is make and take videos. They added short make and take videos in their FB group. This is alot better than just written instructions.

I loved their holiday event. Completed most of my cards and learnt alot of new tricks. Event cards had so much dimension and it looked complicated and for a bit more for advanced crafters but surprisingly they were easy to create. Loved all instructors but Laura and Carissa are my absolute favorite.
Weekend well spent and I would definitely sign up for their future events. They are so fun!
