Y'all. I gave in and got the stencil class. I figure $5 and maybe then I will use all my stencils I've collected. Now to figure out how to get registered for the message board over there. Just coming back over here, with my head hung in shame. Its been 20 days and I still don't have access to the class. I've emailed. I've messaged on FB. Crickets. I knew better. I did. The Peas told me their horror story. But no. I gave in and succumbed to peer pressure and bought the Stencil Class when I *knew* better. Signed, Your friend who is now $5 broker and no class, Mom I have no idea why email would not work, she really needs to remedy that. I'm pretty sure she almost never is on FB. I've had the most success with DMing on IG. If you don't have IG I or another pea would be happy to DM her on your behalf. It really shouldn't be this hard. 😞

I keep trying to get to her website, but it's blocked for some reason. The pop up message just says it's blocked and not secure. I can't even get there on my phone. Anyone else having the same problem? Yes. It's been this way for me for a while. I've tried different browsers but still get the non secure message. The same thing happens when I tried Paige Evans website.

mom Did you hear back through IG? She seems to respond quite quickly on there. It's almost 8PM in the UK so she may still be busy with dinner/getting her kiddo to bed but fingers crossed this does the trick quickly for you!

I'll admit I was a little hesitant to post the discounted class offers because I didn't have much confidence that everyone would get access before she goes on vacation.

I bought the class last night and had access by the time I woke up this morning. I'm not sure why some of us have no issues, and others are blocked! Now I've probably jinxed myself for next time

Still no clue why some people are having an easier time than others? I paid with PayPal. Does that make a difference I wonder?

It's so weird that some have no access issues, and some disappear into the black hole. I'm glad it got resolved mom.

The next offer is up, three older classes for US$30. The link is hereThe classes are True Stores, Pretty Paper Party, and Scrapbook Remix. These are primarily PDF focused classes, although there are some videos included (just not for every lesson). I've not taken True Stories, so no feedback for that one. The PDFs for the other two are pretty chunky, about 3/4" printed out double sided. Pretty Paper Party includes several sketches and guest contributors for a variety of different ways of using patterned peper, including pages and cards. While the supplies are obviously dated, I think the designs actually hold up pretty well. Scrapbook Remix takes a collection and then uses it across four different pages, covering a range of collection styles and page subjects. This is mixed up with lessons that are a bit of a deep dive into specific topics (eg quadrant page designs, using scraps, clusters). Again it's a snapshot in time with the supplies she uses, collections she uses include Sassafras, BG, Scenic Route, along with brands that are still around like EP, Bella, CP. Overall, I enjoyed these classes and think there is a lot of content, but unless I was really looking for some inspiration on using older collections, I'd probably pass in favour of some of her newer classes which are video based.

Today's offer is two classes for US$25 (half price). You can find it hereThe classes are The 20 Project and The Scrapbook Process. I've gone through The 20 Project twice. It uses the idea of prompt jars which were a thing for a while, so she takes 20 prompts which cover tools, supplies, and techniques, and makes a page each day in 20mins or less. You could easily replicate the idea using your own prompts, but I enjoyed having the prompt and a layout to follow to speed up the decision making. In The Scrapbook Process she works on three albums, her current everyday album, her backpacking trip, and the London Olympics album. She talks about how to get restarted on an album that hasn't been touched in a while, including ideas for making the new pages work with the older ones, especially if your style has changed. The class includes some sketches but not on every lesson. I enjoyed both of these and could probably benefit from revisiting the Scrapbook Process to perhaps finish up some older vacation albums that have are nearly done but have been ignored for newer photos. This layout was made using one of the prompts in the 20 Project:

I really appreciate you taking the time to review these classes for us, thank you!
Even though i said I have a lot of class content I need to catch up on, the second class intrigues me. My wedding album is sitting half complete. I was doing well earlier in the year, but lost my crafty mojo this summer. And now the holidays are approaching which is always a busy time...
I will think about this offer today, thanks again!

You're welcome. I've done a lot of her classes over the years and I trust the peas to give an honest review, so hope I can do the same. I think the Scrapbook Process class could work for you if you're feeling overwhelmed by the number of photos left to go, whether they are printed or not. In this class she has a large stack of already printed photos for her backpacking album, so she takes 100 photos and takes us through her process for working out what should go into her album. On her London Olympics album the photos are not yet printed, but she does the same thing, reviews her album so far and her digital library to work out where the gaps are and what still needs to be printed. I assume your style hasn't really changed since you last worked on it so maybe this part of the class won't be as useful for this particular album, but she does give some ideas on how to bring cohesion to an album that is made over time.

I'm not a big class taker because I can't even keep up with her free lives and she is the only YouTuber I follow. But this maybe nice to have in the que for when I'm less busy. Are both these classes videos or more PDFs?

Today's offer is Cover to Cover and A Most Magical Scrapbook for US$28 (half price). You can find it hereCover to Cover is predominately a PDF class. Shimelle often talks about putting the "book" in scrapbooking, and this class takes you through how she organises her albums, when she decides to separate a story into its own album, and how she cross references a separate album in her yearly pages. Until I took this class I was someone who put my pages in albums in the order I made them, and as I scrap randomly, I typically had no idea if I'd scrapped a photo or a story before unless I could remember making the page. After this class I ended up pulling all my albums apart, sorting all the pages, and storing them chrono in the album, which is still my current process. She also covers photo printing process, how to successfully mix old and new pages together in an album, and some lessons on writing our stories. If you've followed Shimelle for a while, or happened to catch the right live video, you've probably seen her talk about the core components of her system, and if you have a pretty good system going (which I imagine those of us who've been scrapping for a while probably do) you might not find this as useful, and while I wouldn't buy this bundle for this class alone I did get a lot out of it at the time. A Most Magical Scrapbook is her Disney class. This is absolutely value for money, I think she started with an end goal in mind, but just kept creating additional layouts and videos, so it far exceeded what it was originally advertised as. This is a video based class with over 50 videos/layouts, covering single, double, and pocket page layouts. She discusses how to create continuity through a specific event/project while still allowing creative freedom to mix in all the supplies, and uses a mix of photo sizes. There are sketches included (I can't remember if it is on all of the lessons, but I just randomly opened about a dozen PDFs from across the class and all of the had a sketch). Some of this content was very geared towards theme parks (eg she talks about how to scrap those often less than great photos you get on rides), but the class can be applied to other subjects. Most people used the class to scrap Disney/other theme parks/other vacations, and the overall class is really geared towards that, but there were a small number of us who scrapped other topics, I used it to kickstart my wedding album.

If you purchased during her sale the week before, you should have access to everything now. Yay!

Who else is taking the class with me? 😊 Hi Sarah - I'm there as well (GillT) and just spotted familiar friends from here jeremysgirl and Charwee as I glanced through. I guess there are others too - sorry I didn't look that closely. I will admit to not really posting over there once I've established that I *could if I wanted to* ;-) I don't find that forum interface that user friendly or particularly easy to read so am far more likely to post here. I can't believe it's almost upon us.
