Did I miss any drama while I was away? Becky rambling on IG stories? April pregnant again? (teehee) Studio Calico messing things up at the warehouse? š Nothing that I can recall. I'm sure we won't wait long for something new though.

I'm enjoying Hallmark leaning into the tropes and making fun of them this year. They are also more progressive than usual with various interracial couples, gay couples, couples who aren't bound by the idea of having children, single parents who are more than ok with their single parent status, a lead whose ex is now married to the person they cheated with (that's a big one for Hallmark), female lead showing off her box of tampons being like "yeah, I need these once a month, get over it" when she bumps into her love interest at the grocery store, etc. It's very refreshing. Yes! Lots of best friend/sister of the main character lesbians flirting/dating especially. I've noticed a lot more real life stuff, including some pretty heavy topics (elders struggling to live alone at home, for example). The cheating one is interesting (I don't think I've seen that one) because I've always felt that Hallmark was cool with kinda-almost-slightly cheating as long as we all agree we weren't soulmates anyway, so cool, I'm marrying your brother who I kissed while we were still together and you can come to the wedding with our office assistant you've been flirting with for months. I haven't watched much so far. BTW for US folks Peacock now has all the Hallmark channels playing live and some movies for on demand streaming. I don't pay for Peacock but it's included with my internet or phone or something so that gives me another way to watch and now I can see Movies and Mysteries too. Did anyone else do a double-take over the new "that's Garland for ya" movie with Jodie Sweetin dating Santa Holliday's son now that CCB is out of the picture?? I haven't watched it but I was so confused! It's a sequel perhaps, but Andy has an inn now and I don't know if Dr CCB just didn't work out as Mrs Santa-to-be... ? I think it's called Cozy Christmas Inn or something like that.

I hid my comment on this in a spoiler, but I said about it: āIt's a kind of sequel to Christmas Under Wraps, with maybe a slight passive aggressive mention of the previous female lead, CCB, who went to Great American Family (good riddance, lol!)ā I didnāt catch it at first, until Andy told Jodie Sweetin that the doctor gf went to SF. I was like why do they keep bringing this up (and with specific details about the ex)?! Eventually it clicked what they were doing. Iām slow, lol.

I wondered if they would address it directly. It was messing with my mind that they're both Full House actresses. At first I thought I was mixing them up when I heard the "that's Garland for ya" in the trailer. lol.

A Cozy Christmas Inn was already being sold as a sequel to the 2014 CCB movie in Garland before filming. I kind of love the writers' not-so-subtle dig: they barely acknowledged the previous love interest and the male lead did not spend any time lamenting the end of their relationship. Haha, looks like Crown Media does not mind the loss of CCB much. Three Wise Men and a Baby (AKA the most anticipated Countdown to Christmas 2022 movie) just released an official exclusive still through EW and oh my, be still my heart! If this isn't a Hallmark holiday classic, it'll have been a waste of this trio, I swear. November 19 can't come soon enough. Still is a callback to this little reel that was posted by the actors on Insta few weeks ago, by the way: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CjBsV-qM9rs

Very much looking forward to that 3 men movie because it will either be fantastic or absolutely terrible due to the expectations.. and from what I've heard they had to cut like 10 minutes out so š¬ it could go either way. I love Tyler Hynes so much tho because in every single interview he does it's like he doesn't want to be there at alllllll. Dude just wants to drink whiskey and ride his motorcycle lmao. Get that seasonal paycheck!
I caught up on the past weekends stuff.. a lot of okay-but-not-great for me. Mentioning CCB's character moved to San Francisco gave me a chuckle! They were extremely kind and well-mannered in the 'it just didn't work out between us and she left' vs having her die or being a terrible person who left him at the altar or something so that was nice. I don't generally enjoy the troop movies on Hallmark and I found myself fast forwarding a lot through that one. I watched the ghost one while taking down Halloween decorations on Sunday š and it was cute! Happy to see Ezra from PLL getting work and it made me look at his IMDB page to see he's stayed pretty booked since the show ended so that's nice lol
During the movie with Will Kemp and his terrible American accent (I swear it was like he struggled through each and every word to not think about how he'd actually say them) there's a point where the lead woman yells "Look, the King!" and you KNOW they had her ADR that later especially since a person walks in front of her right at that start of the word... my complete and utter conspiracy theory is everything was added in later, including the person walking.

I canāt wait for this one and I already know that I will buy it. I absolutely love Tyler Hynes, Paul Campbell and Andrew Walker. Adding to the fun is the fact that Andrew is married to a cousin of Tyler ās AND Tyler and Andrew have done cameoās is in each otherās Hallmark movies.
My current absolute favorite this season is Ghosts of Christmas Always. This one hit all the marks for me - casting, acting, plot, script.
Iāve tried to watch a few on GAC, but I just canāt. And I strongly advise staying away from the GAC face book groups.

I only watched the beginning of that one. I just couldn't deal with his accent. I would've sooner had him be an American businessman who grew up in the UK so he had a British accent or something like that. Or you know, hire someone else for the role. Sorry, Will Kemp. Also just googled Will Kemp and they need to let him grow his beard for a Hallmark movie, please and thank you. I wonder if they filmed it specifically with the person crossing so they could do the ADR later... best to be prepared given the Queen's age and health. I didn't make it that far in.

(I don't remember if this had been posted about on here or the DD thread š¤·)
We've been seeing ads for this all morning today and I am STOKED lol. My bf was like "it's definitely gonna be so bad it's good, yeah?" Rated R, definitely an 'after the kids have gone to bed' sort of movie.
When a group of mercenaries attack the estate of a wealthy family, Santa Claus must step in to save the day (and Christmas).

Anything on Disney+? I'm paying for it right now cause we're watching Andor.
Even if it's old.
I freaking LOVE Jug Band Christmas. And anything Muppets.
Also I just realized that santa in the Violent Night shot right up there ^ is the dude from Stranger Things who went from puffy middle age dad figure to super hot after he----. Realized that might be a spoiler.
I am going to start watching xmas tonight.

Just finished the Lindsay Lohan movie Falling for Christmas on Netflix and it's everything you think it will be. She's delightful. The male leads are great.
It's cute and sappy.
Also, for those of you who only have basic cable so you don't get Hallmark like me, there are some Hallmark movies on Peacock (which is free when you have cable, you just have to sign in).
I'm going to start We Wish you a Married Christmas right now.

Ok, I need some help. I watched half of We Wish You a Married Christmas on Peacock last night then went to bed. Today it's not on Peacock so I signed up for Frndly again and it's not there either.
How do I find it?
I forget what I'm supposed to do. I paid the extra to record the things.
It should not be this hard to use the internet. I have a Phd.

I have a Phd. in a browser you can use the search but sometimes it's... odd, for lack of a better term. Otherwise you can either go to the 'movies' section to the right of 'guide' and look for it in the 'past 72 hrs' section or go into the guide and go back to when it was on and hit record on it. That way it's saved in your videos and won't delete after 72 hrs.

For me it was like watching Overboard with a less dynamic male lead (few are better than Kurt Russell so that's really all that means). I am just really hoping Lindsay can stay sober and keep her life together. She seems really vibrant and happy but super fragile.

I'm caught up on Hallmark through the nanny movie -- which I was SO excited for throughout the week I kept seeing commercials. I love sneaky stuff like this but the terrible accents strike again for the 2nd time this year The Christmas Village one was fine.. just boring. I found myself looking to see how much time was left a couple times. Loved the fake dating in All Saints Christmas, just wish there was more singing! She's literally a Grammy award winning vocalist but it felt like she sang half a song and that was it. Loooooved In Merry Measure quite a bit! I'll root for Patti any day and I think her strength is in somewhat sassy characters. (She played Anna on Broadway so think that in terms of sass lol) also UMMM I DIDN'T KNOW JOCELYN FROM SCHITTS CREEK WAS IN THIS?!? they made great sisters and played off one another so well. Even though enemies to lovers is peak entertainment for me, I think I could've done without the romance part. I caught Merry Swissmas which was boring and slow tbh and also proved to me Jodie needs a stronger lead to counter her.. non acting ability lmao. SO much of it was awkward faces and pauses that I don't think was a character choice. Also recorded Well Suited for Christmas because that damn enemies to lovers trope you guys it has a hold on me I need help lol. The male lead wasn't that great but I liked the story enough to over shadow him.

I tore the list of the new movies out of the HGTV magazine and I'll be noting which ones you guys like and don't like before I dive in!
It's a pretty cute design so I might just include that in my DD this year.

Just finished Kismet Christmas and it was super cute. I liked it.
I was also able to record most of the Hallmark movies that are on Frndly.
Anyone watching Lifetime?
I think I'm only going to watch what y'all think is good.
I have the list from Lifetime posted earlier.
I'll do some research. I don't know if the ones filmed near me will be out this year or next.
I won't watch GAC, anything with Candace Cameron, or Chad Michael Murray. He's just gross. After that Charlie crap in Dawson's Creek I can pretty much only cringe when I see his smug acting. I think we had this discussion last year.
Apparently he's like candy corn. You either love him or hate him.

I have a few recorded on Frndly so will definitely watch more this season. I also donāt do GAC, CCB or CMM (he is SO smug!!).
