I watched All Saints Christmas last night and it was really good.
She has an amazing voice. I love her laugh too. I looked up the artist and she has a Christmas album I will probably get.

Alright, it took DH & I two nights to finish the Lindsay Lohan "Falling for Christmas" on Netflix. The blooper reel was the best part after the real couple of the film, Ralph & Tad. Honestly, it could just be me. I'm not feeling Christmas and this one was very predictable. The only review I have seen of the LL movie said that they wished they had had amnesia. I was looking forward to Spirited. I guess maybe I should read reviews and adjust expectations. Three Wise Men and a Baby was stupid but fun. I liked that Kimberly Sustad had a little cameo and made a joke about not being not write this stuff, a little Easter egg for people who noticed she cowrote it.

The only review I have seen of the LL movie said that they wished they had had amnesia. I mean, that's pretty accurate. LOL! I was looking forward to Spirited. I guess maybe I should read reviews and adjust expectations. Without being to spoiler-y: I didn't realize it was a musical. I assumed that Ferrell & Reynolds would be more funny, but a lot of it fell flat. The storyline was okay, but I felt like they were just tossing spaghetti at a wall.

Dh & I watched My Southern Family Christmas tonight. It’s set in Louisiana which is different than the usual cold snowy locations. We liked it…we got teary eyed as well!

DH & I watched "Mistletoe Mixup" which had Joey Lawrence and his brothers and his mom. Ehhhhh. The very first scene with Holly and him the sound was super funky, but it was fixed the next time. Other than that, it was not the worst. If "Wednesday" is considered a holiday movie, it wins the season so far.

I watched "A Royal Corgi Christmas". Yawn. Thank goodness for cute dogs. It only held my attention when the corgis were on screen.

We watched Spirited tonight. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this. I love musicals, and pretty much everything Pacek & Paul does. I also really dislike Will Ferrell, and Ryan Reynolds is mostly blah to me.
I think if the movie had leads that could actually sing & dance, it could be a 4 star movie. I really enjoyed most of the songs (music & lyrics). Will Ferrell humor is just not for me. It felt like he was playing his “Elf” character much of the second half of the movie. Not a fan of either.
2/5 stars for me.

Made Chris watch 3 wise men and a baby while it was on, WITH COMMERCIALS and y'all !!! it was great. There was definitely a couple huh?'s that weren't answered and completely glossed over but with all the positives I can let it go. We'd definitely watch again. Tyler Hynes remains the superior Hallmark guy in my mind, dude does the deadpan stuff so well and I love it lol I also really enjoyed 3 Wise Men & a Baby I watched a couple over the weekend Royal Nanny - really liked it at whole lot and #XMAS - didn’t think it was very good

I also enjoyed Three Wise Men and a Baby. I could relate to some of the sibling shenanigans those guys experienced, ha! It was a nice surprise to see Margaret Colin too, I have always enjoyed her since my Gossip Girl days, way back when. 🙂

We got the trial of HBO Max to watch A Christmas Story Christmas and it does not disappoint. It's not something I will watch every year like we do with A Christmas Story but it's really good.

I’ve never seen A Christmas Story, so maybe this will be the year! Wow. I think I've seen it a hundred times. It used to play on TBS and we would just have that on all day Christmas Eve. I bought the DVD a couple of years ago and we watch it every year. If you watch A Christmas story and then the new movie, I'd love to know if it resonates in the same way for you. How lucky you are! We practically have the thing memorized -- even have a board game that requires you to know obscure facts. I'd love to be able to see it with fresh eyes.

I also watched #XMAS - it was just ok for me and I watched Royal Nanny which I liked! Has anyone started watching the Disney+ series The Santa Clauses? It's a continuation of the Tim Allen Santa Clause movies.

Thanksgiving week is always a mess.. I'm 10 movies behind Slow work day so I'm kind of watching Haul Out the Holly and it's cute enough! Definitely a "leave on the tv while doing things around the house" movie I'd enjoy. I was busy but heard someone that sounded like Kristoffer Polaha and I turn around to see he's got a little cameo! Also seeing an add for a new Hallmark show called The Way Home that I will be all over next month lol Slight edit.. during the commercials where they sometimes have the actors talking about the movie as though they're watching it with us Lacey mentioned this being her first Christmas rom-com.. did she somehow forget being in 2 Christmas movies last year? Or the awful Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe from 2019 with the mayor who couldn't have been older than 25 and literal blankets of fake snow outside?

Has anyone watched the Noel Diary on Netflix? I thought it was sweet. I watched it with DH. We shut it off halfway through because after staying up late watching that movie, she reads his entire novel? No. My biggest issue was the cheating on her fiancé though. Bad form all around, IMO. And then she doesn't even go meet her mom?! COME ON!

I need a rec for tonight. I'm all caught up with Hallmark to Royal Nanny (which was awesome, definitely one I'll watch again -- one of two so far from this year's roster). I crossed #xmas and the Corgi movie off the list because of reviews. How is the Southern one? What about the Christmas Dragon? That looks good and it's next. I've been using this list as it came in a magazine and I tore it out like old school. www.hallmarkchannel.com/christmas/movie-guide-countdown-to-christmas-2022Also, I have lots of questions with Haul out the Holly. I was deep into my Candy Crush so I probably missed something but why?

I watched “Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas “. I’ve really enjoyed this series of movies produced my Blake Shelton. This one was no exception. A little mystery, a little romance and very heartfelt.
I’m looking forward to the second “Five More Minutes” movie - “Five More Minutes: Moments Like These”. The cast makes it look promising.

How is the Southern one? What about the Christmas Dragon? I liked both of these. The Southern one was interesting because of the southern Christmas traditions shown in it - Pere Noel, etc. I'd never seen that before. It was a good story, too. The lead actress wasn't bad - kind of quiet, but I expected bad acting so I was pleasantly surprised that she was pretty good. I liked the Christmas Dragon, too - because Kevin Chan from Supernatural is in it. I love that guy. But overall I enjoyed the movie and there were some really sweet parts. I also like Royal Nanny and Three Wise Men and a Baby if that helps you determine my taste level. I turned off the Corgi one, too boring. I think my favourite Hallmark movie this year has been Ghost of Christmas Always, though.

I’ve never seen A Christmas Story, so maybe this will be the year! I watched it for the first time last year. Very fantasy golden age America, and there was one part that definitely has not aged well. Maybe I'd have a different impression if I'd watched it many times from way back when. I'm curious about the sequel but not sure that we'll get to see it.

I have watched a bunch of the Hallmark & Great American Family ones recently. They all kind of blur together. lol Oh and I watched Noel Diary on Netflix which I enjoyed.
The new CCB on Great American Family?! Put it on this morning and had to turn it off after a half hour. WOW, it was just awful! lol

once I turned my brain off. For me, this is why I watch these movies. And yes, the Original Christmas Story has some pretty racist parts. We wouldn't see that kind of representation today, that's for sure. There is none of that in the new movie. I watched Golden Dragon last night and loved it. I got teary eyed quite a few times (might be a little PMS-y though so there's that). I would love to have seen this have a better budget. The plot and progression could make it one of those movies for all time. I'd love a chance to clean up the screenplay and make it for real. So much potential. A great story. There is some odd snow shoveling. Like, if most of it's melted, just toss down a little more salt and call it a day. What are you shoveling as I'm pretty much only seeing concrete and a pile of fake ice on the shovel?

I think my favourite Hallmark movie this year has been Ghost of Christmas Always, though. Yes! Still my favorite out of what I've watched this year. And oh my, Southern Family Christmas was good. Last year I watched a show set in that same area with a Pere Noel story line. I really liked it. I'll try to figure out the name of it. Has anyone watched Christmas Prince? I haven't seen it yet.
