Anyone else? i'm on and not doing the first lesson. It's printable tags and I can't print at home. Organizing supplies and waiting for the next hour.

I really like the tags, too! Has anyone downloaded the PDF? I'm getting a "Windows cannot complete the extraction" message. I downloaded it three times and get the same message. Just wondering if the problem is on my end, or their's.
ETA for clarity: I am able to download the folder; it's when I try to open the individual files that I get this error.

I was there for the live and had no problem downloading and opening the files.
I love the idea and will do something like it, for sure.
After opening the files and using my largest punch (2.5"), I spent 20 minutes looking up circle cutting options online.
Then I remembered I can cut circles on my silhouette, duh.
So anyway, I'm going to try to get the tags printed before 11.
I just want to do one test where I print front and back on white cardstock.
I think I want to have all of my nieces and nephews fill these out. On the back I'll have them put their name and some other stuff.
I might leave room for a photo and also for us to write what we got for each of them. It's been fun to keep track.

I like the tags but will probably print something else at the bottom rather than the choices. It's a cute idea, but it just doesn't fit in with my family of adults.
I'm going to pop into the Storytelling with December Daily class when nothing is going on. Since this is my first year doing December Daily, I figure it wouldn't hurt to get some ideas.

I won’t be doing anything for DD today, other than watching and thinking. I haven’t even pulled out DD from my storage spot yet, and won’t until after thanksgiving.
I’ll be puttering in my scrap room, organizing, maybe working in PL a little.

I'm not going to stamp right now. I can't think of anything I want to say but I love the idea and will put it on the list of techniques I want to do this year.

I like this second project...i usually stamp on cards only so I'm looking forward to incorporating stamping into my DD. i just have to get some smaller alpha stamps

Got my tags printed after Ali updated the PDF and spurlged on a 4 inch circle punch on Amazon - I don’t have that size and love circles so I’ll get a lot of use out of it. I’m going to add questions to the back about a favorite Christmas memory and what you are looking forward to this Christmas season.
I’ve done a 4x6 stamped card so far- I love the way it turned out and going to work on another one. Listening to Christmas music and having a lovely morning (8:30 am here).

I finished the challenge. I didn’t know what phrase I wanted to stamp so just went with “have a holly jolly Christmas” from the song. I stamped in black ink and then I used a matching outline stamp and stamped one of the words in gold. I thought it would look really cute. It just looks okay to me. Probably would have been prettier in red and gold or green and gold. I’ll upload it to Ali’s gallery! Great idea on the tags paget and a 4 inch circle punch….nice! scrappyesq I was thinking about the size of the stamps too. I think mine might be too big. I’ll probably do a couple more practice runs once I figure out what phrase I want to stamp. |

I finished the live challenge. Stamped a quote I’ve been wanting to use for awhile. I’m pleased with how it turned out.
I’ll go back and watch the notebooks later. Not something I use.

Notebooks are meh for me as well so I'm catching up on first hour stuff. The tags are cute! Thinking of a small tag booklet I can make with a clear attacher so that it folds out while still in the rings.

As far as crafting on the spot, maybe it will pick up a little more after this lesson? Really looking forward to our 2peas Linda’s lesson! I’m sure that will be fun!
The videos for the photography lessons are long! I’ll watch them later. I think I’ll take this hour to finish up my tags and have some lunch.

Hmm. Never done a prep day before. I loved, loved the tags lesson and the stamp challenge and then it kind of fell apart for me to this point. I liked Ali notebook idea and made me think of things I could jump of that with. Lisa’s was really boring. I’m not really into this photography thing so far.
Would last year’s prep day be more like the first two sessions with crafting? If so, maybe I’ll buy last years because that was really fun for me (the first two classes).
