Have a great trip grammadee! nylene and grammadee - thanks for asking about me - I am really OK although my guts continue to bug me. I had an "aha" moment today that I'm testing out: I think I may have become lactose intolerant and not realized it because I never drink milk The past week, I've indulged in daily latte's which are over 1cup of milk each... and I think maybe my intestines thought that was too much lactose! So today I had almond milk in my latte instead, and we'll see if I'm any better. My HAPPY NEWS: We're booked for our Florida trip! This is the biggest trip we've ever taken. DH and I didn't even have a honeymoon (well, family cabin at the lake, but YKWIM). We're doing 5 nights at Universal and 5 nights at Disney. DD can only be there for the Disney half unfortunately due to her university exams, but I think that just gives me an excuse to make another trip next year I'm so excited!

Hello Pokeys! I think I definitely qualify as pokey this month, I’ve had no energy to scrap whatsoever! My goal this weekend is to complete my second sample for 28-4-28. I know what I want to do, so I need to muster up the willpower to get it done. Luckily I’ve already completed my third sample, so that’s one less layout to worry about.
My in-laws are coming for the first time since we moved two years ago, and we have a small condo, so that’s going to be interesting.
Have a nice weekend everyone!

scrappyrabbit - good luck with your sample. I made tomorrow's sample last night (and will post it this evening) but I don't even have a plan for weeks 3 and 4 yet -oops DH went thrifting today and picked me up some vellum quotes and an 8x8 birthday pad and Easter stamps from stampin up. He also got me two new albums at HL and picked out some Christmas paper to 'replenish' my stash. Very sweet of him. I think sometimes he does more scrapbook shopping than I do. It's rainy, dreary, and grey here today so I'm scrapping...

scrappyrabbit, we allow even speedy scrappers to be Pokey Peas! Glad to have you popping in. Good luck with your sample for 28-4-28. Are you finding that with pregnancy your energy is lessened? Take it easy and enjoy the progress. I am so excited for you. You'll be a great little mother! joyfulnana, what happened to your avatar? You have disappeared. Hope you have a great weekend with Rudy. Linda, that husband of yours keeps you in scrappy supplies. He's a keeper.

linda that sounds like an amazing scrappy thrift store haul! nylene you are so sweet thank you for Your kind words. yes I’ve been so exhausted especially in the evenings so scrapping is taking a little bit of a back seat. I was able to complete the page I was hoping to do, well most of it. I might go back and add some embellishments tomorrow. I’m grateful it’s a low key weekend and I can possibly scrap tomorrow during the Super Bowl as well.

scrappyrabbit - dh is so good at finding me scrappy stuff when he hits the thrift stores and yard sales (and the HL clearance racks). Rest when you can - your body is growing a whole new person and it takes a lot of energy from you.

love the paper piecings gramma - I really like how you varied the order and size of the PP from one side to the other - I often get caught up in a need for symmetry. DD16 had a backpacking hike this morning - they hiked about 5 miles with fully loaded packs (they are preparing for a backpacking weekend in March). It was drizzling when we dropped her off but cleared up soon after. We're not watching the Super Bowl (at least I don't think we are - we never have in the past except DH sometimes hunts down the ads) but we'll do a Not-A-Super-Bowl Party for dinner just because There's no reason to miss out on yummy food just because we're not American Football fans, right?

Good Morning! Man, a GREAT game! I knew it would be good and a tight one. And I was glad to see that even the refs were calling a clean game. Until that last holding call, and I'm not sure about it, so it kinda took the joy out of the win. In the moment. But the joy is starting to seep in today lol. And now gramma has leaned me into a part time SF fan, I'll be anxious to see what they do in the off season and how Purdy's surgery goes. I want to see that team do well next season. but we'll do a Not-A-Super-Bowl Party for dinner just because There's no reason to miss out on yummy food just because we're not American Football fans, right? I love this and agree lol! Man, your DH is an awesome shopper! scrappyrabbit , how exciting, I'm so happy for you!Yep, take it easy and get your rest -the baby has a way of making you do that lol. gramma those peeking faces are adorable! Sounds like she knew what you were capable of And how much you enjoy paper piecing LOL! kellyr21 I'm sorry your DH's team lost, but that was a good game and they should be proud! nylene I don't know where my avatar went! Maybe it's my cue to get a new one lol.

joyfulnana - congrats! We did actually end up watching the game - I don't think I've ever watched an entire football game before. DD bailed after the 1st quarter Yes - DH is very fond of shopping (I'm not the shopper in the family other than groceries) grammadee - safe travels and looking forward to your photos/layouts

joyfulnana, Congrats to your team! DH says that's the best football game he has seen in a long time. His dad was the football, basketball, golf, etc. coach at our High School so he played all sports. He even went to school to be a coach, had a job offer to coach and teach in Idaho, but in the meantime he took a half year jr. high teaching job (teacher was fired for inappropriate behavior with a student) and he hated every minute of it. So he turned down the coaching job and when he was offered a job to run a small golf course he took it. He thought the game was wonderful and he's seen a lot of games. I hope you find a new avatar! grammadee, I hope you travel home safely. Did you have a great time with the kids? I am hoping to get my phone set up so I can get online this week. I am missing my dead ipad. gramma, your Christmas page is so cute. Did she help you scrap or tell you what she wanted. She's a cutie. Em couldn't get even one parent to help with the Valentine party at Alex's school, so her DH is taking part of the day off, and I am helping again tomorrow. It's also her birthday on Valentine's Day. She has done every Valentine party since Alex started Kindergarten...on her birthday. She's a sweetheart. I hope it goes well and that the children are well!

That's a real shame no one could help her. I do see both sides of it though because I couldn't always get away from my job (fast food/retail) when DS was in K-2 so after K (where I worked across the street and could run over on my break if it was during a slower time) I wasn't able to help out. And once the girls came along - I had no one to watch them and couldn't bring them (school policy). DS and I helped out the first few years with DD16's class though before he enlisted - we were there at least once a week in K. I hope she has a happy birthday anyway and that Alex and the others aren't too hyped up on sugar

I, too, understand that many of the mothers are working or have little ones at home making it hard to be a volunteer helper. The other issue is that many of the mothers are non-native and feel that they aren't as confident in their English as would be required. Those that have helped have done a great job with the children. I think this is the last party for the year unless they have a year-end party. We would go outside and do paper rockets shot with foot power for that one and that's an easy one to do. I just spent an hour on the phone with Apple and have an appt to have a new battery put in my ipad on Wed. That will be nice!

That gnomie dessert board is really cute, Linda. Dh picked me up cupcakes from the local bakery. How did the kids' Valentines' party go, nylene? Hope no one--especially YOU--were attacked by a virus rather than Cupid's arrow. Exciting that you are going to Florida, kitbop! You will have a blast at both WDW and Universal. gramma, I love that collaborative LO! Bet you had fun scrapbooking together. Okay. Need to get ready for today's crop. Last night I sorted the pic's I printed Monday and selected a couple of sets I could play with. I woke up this morning with a perfect plan to combine this last Saturday's sketch with Monday's love your pet day, using the pic I shared with you of the dog and another pic I took of her. Now I can't find either one of them in my printed photos *&%#*? I could print them here, but first need to change at least one ink cartridge in my printer... So maybe my perfect plan will need to wait for a different day.
