Got my sad puppy face pic scrapped this morning.
Here are two LO's from yesterday's crop time:
And my sample from yesterday's challenge
Whew! I think I am now caught up on 28-4-28 to date. Just in time for me to not scrap for a few days. Tomorrow I need to drive to dd's to stay with their boy and pets overnight while parents are gone. We are actually switching places as they have some meetings out here Friday afternoon. The plan is that Saturday they will bring Grampa back with them and we will all attend Jubilations (musical comedy dinner theatre), do some shopping at West Edmonton Mall for dgs's birthday (the shopping is his choice of activity), and stay in a local hotel. Dh and I will drive home the next day. The water park is supposed to be part of the birthday plans. Not sure if we will be staying for that, or if I will have to depend on shared photos from the parents. Either way, I am sure I will come home with some pic's to print. Prob won't get them printed until Tuesday, though, when I am off to Lloyd for book club. If I have any time or energy to scrap on Monday, I still have lots of photos from LAST weekend's adventure to keep me going... I left love for your pages on Flickr, justjac . Thinking dh & I should snap some tickets for YOUR dinner theatre event.

I tried to make a correction on the long post I just wrote and it all disappeared. So, in a nutshell... Linda , your Gnome Board is so cute! You are a fun mother and wife. Your family is lucky to have you. grammadee , the Valentine party went well. The children know us by now and are friendly and respectful. One funny thing happened. I wear a cheap analog watch and one of the girls grabbed my arm and said,"That watch is so cool!" Others heard and gathered around. They oohed and aahed over it. One asked if I could tell time on it! LOL. Alex can tell time on any clock but apparently many students his age can't, or at least don't. Funny. DH asked if I told them I ordered it special from the antique store! I am sorry to say that after hours of phone calls to Apple and a trip to their authorized dealer, my ipad is old enough that they won't trade it out and can't guarantee they can get the parts and can't tell me the cost. I have been without if for a week and haven't missed it much. I'm about to decide I can live without it. It has made me use my phone more and I'm learning how to use features I didn't know I had. I have 3 pages finished and need to scan and post. I have an idea for Linda 's Sweet Layout, or kitbop 's Shapes layout. I have to decide which one I will use it for and get going on it. Have a great week, Pokeys! ETA: grammadee, you have love in the gallery. Your pages of the boys are so cute.

grammadee so many amazing pages! That winter one makes me cold… brrr. Or it could be that our heater busted and I’m surviving off a neighbor’s space heater. Perfect timing with my in-laws arriving, right? 😩 I’m afraid I won’t be able to scrap at all for the next week or so, because of my houseguests. And then the following weekend DH and I are godparents in a baptism and my brother will be staying with us. Our condo is technically a 2-bedroom, but the second room is really small and is more of an office. I have a day bed in there which is super comfy but only a twin size. We have an air mattress too, but it’s just tight quarters around here! Arthur thinks the air mattress is just for him!

Stay warm, scrappyrabbit, and enjoy your family time, even in cramped quarters. I am off to a very cold arena soon to take my dgs to his hockey game.

nylene - sorry about the ipad Glad the party went well. Thank you for the compliment - I try. scrappyrabbit - stay warm and enjoy your visitors. grammadee - you stay warm also Not sure what our plans are today - Dh and DD are both still sleeping. We had talked about going to the festival downtown -we'll see if that pans out.

scrappyrabbit, I am so sorry about your heater. I hope that it can be repaired or replaced. It's too cold to go without. I hope you have a great time at the baptism and with houseguests. Check in when things settle down in your life. Have a great couple of weeks! grammadee, you need to keep warm too. I hope you have a nice time with your family and that the hockey game goes well. Drive carefully! The older I get the less I like winter. As long as I am tucked in my house I'm ok, but going out into the cold makes me ache all over. I put a tulip bouquet in the center of my living room. I am channeling Spring! DH is getting antsy too. He wants to be outside. It's 12 degrees this morning!

nylene I love these layouts! They are so colorful. Thankfully we were able to replace the heater just in time! The old one was from the 80s, it was the original heater that came with the condo back then, so it definitely needed to go. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

awesome layouts nylene - I always love your colour choices! I don't care for the cold either - my body aches when the temperature drops but I'm also at a 'self-heating' age so I'm not too fond of the hot either. scrappyrabbit - I'm so glad that you have heat again. festival was okay - not as crowded as in past years and not as many interesting vendors - but it was nice to get out with DH and DD and walk around the lake where the festival was. Today DD went horseback riding early (715 but it's a half hour away) but thankfully, dh takes her. Catching up on housework today - I've just cleaned upstairs (guest bedrooms and bath) and now need to tackle the main floor. Hoping to scrap a bit later but we'll see how the day pans out.

How are you and your dh doing, nylene? Is this surgery another out patient procedure? Or will they be admitting him? What scheme do you have this time to help keep him relatively immobilized after surgery? How is your dh doing, gramma? Did you get him in for the further tests? Any more incidents? And I hope both you and nylene remember to take care of yourselves. You both put so much into caring for others, I hope you don't forget YOU. Glad you now have heat, scrappyrabbit. Boo to having that expense, but those things have a way of happening. Are your family still there? Long weekend in the US as well as Canada, right? Glad the festival was enjoyable if not as exciting as in the past, Linda. Glad your dd is involved in activities again. Sounds like a household can have busy early mornings even when the kids don't play hockey. Who knew? kitbop are you working today? Or do you get Family Day off? I have really enjoyed oggling all your pages--past and present--that you have been using for samples for your challenges. Driving home yesterday I was visualizing how I could make one of those backgrounds out of squares or circles. Don't worry: I was paying attention to my driving, too. Thinking about scrapbooking is almost like breathing for me... I am home after a busy weekend. Drove home yesterday evening. Dh had opted not to come to the city to attend the dinner theatre, so he stayed here with dd's dogs. I need to run them halfway home on Wednesday (meeting my dd). Hoping to spend a bit of time in here this morning, but not sure if I will accomplish much. If a page does not speak to me, I may just go back to pulling pages to copy for my dgd's grad scrapbook. So far, I have four years of pages (out of 18) at the printers. And I have until May to get this finished. After dgs's hockey game on Saturday, we headed to the hotel. He did his birthday shopping with his parents while I had some time to relax before they picked me up for Jubilations. I enjoyed the performance but not as much as in the past as it was based on the TV show The Office with which I am not familiar at all. I think dgs's dad got a shot of the two of us on the stage to celebrate our February birthdays, but he has not shared it with me yet. Sunday we had breakfast at Cora's (fresh fruit and pastry creations) then hit the water park. I got to go in to the venue and take a few photos, but not sure how they turned out. Will print all the pic's tomorrow.

nylene and gramma - keeping you and your dh's in my prayers - and yes - remember to take care of YOU also grammadee - that was a busy weekend but sounds like you've got some great photos to scrap from it. And, busy early mornings go with Academic Team, horse riding, AND Girl Scouts as well...it is amazing how much easier it is for DD to get up and going when it's a weekend activity vs a school day. Did a good house clean yesterday so hoping to scrap this afternoon and evening - I have a FB crop this evening. Ordering photos now and waiting for my doctor's office to call me back...it seems my orthotics order has gotten lost

Wow wow you guys! I LOVE all the pages, I'm so far behind on seeing what everyone has been doing. Just popping in before work to say hey and catch up with you all. Tonight I'm scrapping with my niece. She's getting things done, me not so much lol. But I have a page to finish for one of the 28-4-28 challenges and that's tonight's goal. Rudy got his green belt in Karate and since I'm off Thursday I'm going to go watch his weapons class. Cody said his form has really improved. I am taking a long weekend this week. DS2 has his final court date from the drug charges Thursday and he has to appear in person. He asked me to go with him - for a ride firstly lol, and for moral support secondly. He's hoping since he's a first offender it can be dropped to a misdemeanor. But either way, he knows he will be on probation and no jail time which is good. He's doing so well. He has his hiccups, but he is working and paying his bills and doing everything he needs to do. I'm so proud of him. So Thursday will be packed, and then Friday is my secret day off that no one knows about, and I'm hoping the mojo will flow, flow, flow I'll be opening a crop Saturday evening at 7PM EST. I'm hoping that time will work for all time zones! ETA my new profile pic of me and my morning yoga buddy lol.

Hello, Pokeys! joyfulnana , I love your new avatar photo. I'm glad we get to see Abby too. Congrats to Rudy on his green belt. I love to see children advance and achieve their goals. Let him know your friends are proud of him too. I am so happy about your DS' healing. You are both in my prayers for a good outcome on Thursday. He has worked hard and I hope the judge can see that. Hugs. Linda , you and your DD are very busy with Scouts. My DD was telling me about a big project she is doing with the GS in her council in CA. As I look back on it, I have never regretted the busyness and work when working with my kids and their friends in Cubs and 4-H. I can see the results of the values taught in their lives today. Bless you for being involved with her. I hope today I can get into the Sharing thread and enjoy your layouts. grammadee , your getaway sounds very busy but nice to be with family. I'm glad you are home safe and sound. You asked about DH's surgery. It is in-office with a MOHS surgeon who takes all the cancer she can see and then it goes to pathology to check the margins. If it isn't clear she takes more and it goes to pathology. When they did this on DS, they took 6 specimens and the surgery lasted 6 hours. They will patch him up and let him go to the waiting room between procedures. When she finishes we take him to the surgical center where our (very trusted) surgeon will do reconstruction and close the wounds. He will be put out for that procedure and we don't know how long that might take. They will have to do some skin grafts. There are 2 cancers they are working on. scrappyrabbit , I'm so glad you could replace the heater. You need to stay nice and warm the rest of the winter. Sunday afternoon I went to use my computer and it wouldn't turn on. With it down and my ipad dead, I felt like I lost my lifeline. Luckily Doug was available. Em said, "Don't worry, he will get it going. Computers are scared of him!" DH and I tried everything we could think of but nothing helped. Doug came in, unplugged the same things we had, pushed the button and it turned right on! I believe Em. Computers are afraid of Doug! Em said she one time really needed something from her laptop and it was acting crazy. She called Doug at work and he said, "Let me talk to it." He had her go into the deep settings, had her touch several things and then said, "You start working right. Em needs you today." It cleared right up. Everyone with devices needs a "Doug" in their life. kellyr21 , is it getting warm in your area? We are expecting a huge snowstorm overnight. I long for the color of growing flowers. I have put a bouquet of tulips (fake) in my living room to channel Spring! Hope you are doing some sketching and other fun arts. Have a great week and weekend. I'll check in again after the surgery.

Thinking of you and your dh today, nylene . Sending you strength. Looks like you have a pretty busy few days ahead of you, joyfulnana . Congrats to Rudie! How cool you can go watch him. Hoping all goes well with your ds's appearance. It means alot that he asked you to go with him for moral support. By Friday you will have deserved that "secret day off"! BTW, love your new avatar! Hoping to see you soon on line, Linda , justjac , kitbop cycworker,. I am busy pulling out stuff I may be able to use for three different LO's, but not sure how much I will actually get done. Didn't get much sleep last night, so running on caffeine fumes...

Happy Wednesday! Waving hi to you all! Had my sketch class last night and I enjoyed it. We are working on faces and the eyes are always a struggle for me. But I'll keep practicing. scrappyrabbit - Enjoy your family time! nylene - Hugs and prays to you both! I can't wait for the weather to warm up in your area so you can see your flowers again. But artificial tulips are a good idea for now. I've been getting fresh flowers from the store over the last several weeks and that has been fun. I got some Valentine's flowers still thriving and another bouquet that is hanging in there, too. Yes, we were warming up a few days and now it is cool but sunny. I think I heard a storm is coming with rain but no rain yet. Also, I was just at Scrapbook dot com and one of your 2020 layouts is being featured in the "trending" section. So happy to see it. Congrats! joyfulnana - Have a ball on your "secret" day off! LOL! Love the new pic with you and Abby. grammadee - We were watching some hockey last night on tv and I forgot how they let them fight. LOL! I guess no one gets hurt and then they continue the game. LOL! Both our local teams lost but we will watch here and there. Maybe one of your dgs will grow up to be a pro. justjac -Thanks for sharing about your play. That sounds like it will be so fun and it is cool they open the cast to all ages. How is it going so far? linda - Your dd has been having a great time! I love horses and would love to see one again. Not sure if I want to ride but at least pet one. LOL!

kellyr21 - glad you're enjoying your sketch class - DD16 says the trick to eyes is to position the face so you only see one complete eye - because it's really hard to get two good ones that match. Enjoyed the crop this week - thanks for hosting grammadee. I do need to figure out why my tablet isn't charged - hopefully it'll be as simple as buying a new cable.

DH's surgery went well, but it was a very long day. They used tissue from the right ear to graft on the left. The lesion on the neck was not as deep as they anticipated. He is doing well, with little pain, but can't wear his hearing aids or his glasses because they rub the stitches. I can tell that is really frustrating him. Glad to have it over and we appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. We had a huge snowstorm yesterday. DH cleaned the walks before we left at 7:30 for the surgery. When we came home we had 8 inches on the sidewalks. There were so many slide-off and accidents. I was glad Em was our driver both directions. They are predicting an even bigger storm this weekend. The SLC airport had 17". Linda, I hope a new cord fixes your ipad. Mine will only charge to 1% and then turns off. I hope I can get back to scrapping soon. I'm way behind on the challenges.

Happy Thursday! Hope all is well with you gals today. We are getting a little rain but so far not to bad. Although my papercrafting mojo is low I have been watching some fun things. I heard about the Card Maker Success Summit on the "Card" thread and checked it out. It started today and will go through the 26th. I watched one of the videos and they have a "live" chat throughout the day on YouTube. It is free and there are upgrades that cost. Here is the link if you are interested. Link HereI watched Gina K release her new products on YouTube today. Here is the video if you are interested. Link HereFinally, Gina told us about Mary Gunn of Craft Roulette. Gina was a guest on the show tonight. Mary has a guest every week and she spins the wheel to see what they will have to create in the moment. Here is the video. I saw some of it tonight and that was cool, too. Whew! That was a lot of content I saw today but I had fun watching. nylene - Thank God your dear dh's day went well yesterday. Like grammadee said, I hope you both get some rest this weekend. Hand in there my friend! Wishing you all a nice day on Friday! Take care pea!

Sounds like a fun viewing day kellyr21nylene - I hope your DH is doing okay today and not driving you too batty. I have to thank you again for the Cricut cartridges - I'm having fun using them! I'm doing a FB crop this weekend - Scrapbook Generations - it's a freebie which is nice although their paid crops are well worth it, imo. And I'm almost caught up on 28-4-28 - just the 22nd and today to do. It was 85 today - way too hot for February imo. Hopefully all of you dealing with cold and snow are doing okay and staying warm inside.

kellyr21 , I forgot to comment on your seeing one of my layouts on Scrapbook .com. I haven't been over there for ages. I seem to be kept busy enough here. I am almost out of room in the Flickr gallery though so I may need to post elsewhere. Thank you for the heads up. I will check out all your links this afternoon or evening. Thanks for finding fun things for us to enjoy. I understand you are getting torrents of rain in So. CA. We got another big storm yesterday. It's a good thing I didn't need to get out of my drive way. Today it looks like some kind neighbor has plowed it. I don't know who did it, but I greatly appreciate it. I do need to get to the store today. Linda , I am so glad you are enjoying the cartridges. My grandchildren used to go through them and tell me what they wanted me to cut. I went into my scraproom one day and Sam (7 or 8 at the time) was just getting ready to push the button to cut. She had watched me enough that she felt confident. I made sure everything was ready and told her to go ahead. The cartridges might as well be used and not taking room in the basement. grammadee , DH is now able to wear one hearing aid and if he tips his glasses down on his nose he can wear them. He's happier when he can hear and see a bit. DH is doing very well, perhaps too well! He's antsy to do things. He's supposed to be on "light duty" for 2 weeks, but I'll be lucky if I can keep him caged for the weekend. He doesn't have pain anymore so he thinks he's healed. LOL I am plugging away at the challenges a bit each day. I am only 4 behind.

nylene - I'm glad he's doing well and able to use a hearing aid and his glasses. Hopefully you can keep him from too much too fast. I'm happy you have such good neighbours and they ploughed your driveway for you. Drive safe! I'm scrapping again today - popping in and out of a FB crop and hoping to jump on the one here this evening. Back to working on older (March 2013) photos now I've scrapped the ones that came in the mail yesterday but I do have a current events page I want to make.

Hello and happy Saturday! nylene, I'm glad DH's surgery went well and that he is feeling better. Good luck with him! I had to LOL at your computer story, that was too funny lol. kellyr21 thanks for the links! This weather is wild! I feel like we are in a weather desert here. We had a little rain and a trace amount of ice last night. Today it's almost 60. Linda I agree about your weather too, that's just bananas. I haven't done one of the SG crops in a long time, I'm not doing very well keeping up here lately lol. But I always enjoyed them. Court went well for DS, sorry I hadn't been in sooner to update you, and thanks for the kind words on my photo. The judge on his case lost a son to an overdose, so he really tries to give people a chance to turn it around. His felony was dropped to a misdemeanor, and he is on probation for one year. Such a relief! We finished up in court, and went to Westport, which is a part of the city with a lot of indie stores, and bummed around and had lunch. But before court, DS1 tested positive for Covid, which meant he didn't have DGS, and wasn't taking him to weapons class. I think I'll have someone trade me shifts at work in a couple weeks so I can go watch that class. My "secret" day off, was nice and quiet. When the kids were younger and I just need a day to myself, I would take one off and not tell anyone. Because if they knew, at least ONE person would try to stay home with me lol. It was cold so I stayed home and just rested and relaxed. Now I'm finishing up dinner and getting things ready to crop tonight. Hope to see some of you a little later!

This month has been a whirlwind! I was hoping to try to start checking in every weekend when I posted last but that hasn't worked out. I keep myself busy on the weekends and don't get online as much. I have had an emotional week. I consulted with a lawyer about 1 1/2 weeks ago regarding filing for divorce. I have known for quite a few years that this would end up happening someday. Something happened right before Thanksgiving that I decided that it was time. When I explained why I wanted to file and he explained things that I need to think about, he said he would take my case. They want you to think about what was discussed for at least 24 hours before filing. On my first day off from work, I started the process. I go in this week and see the petition he will be served with. He is in complete denial even though I have told him it is over. I guess he thinks if he kills me with kindness now that everything will be okay. I am not sure how he will take this when he gets served. I have asked him to move out and ignores me. I was told it depends on the judge that gets my case on how soon I can get him out. I had a sleep study done last weekend and the results showed I have severe obstructive sleep apnea. I started having issues with my blood pressure last year and it is all related. I hope once I get started with CPAP therapy, my blood pressure improves. nylene, I hope your DH is healing from his procedure. I couldn't sleep most of the night last night and ended up sleeping in. I hope I am able to sleep tonight and get up at a decent hour in the AM. I have been working on getting my bonus room in better order. It is so cluttered with stuff that it is overwhelming.
