BUT I actually think he just chose qualified people and his entire cabinet isn’t a bunch of old, straight, rich, white men so people have their undies in a bunch over it. I can’t recall a single cabinet pick of Biden’s that isn’t qualified for the post. Perhaps Pete Buttegieg wasn’t specifically overly qualified for Transportation specifically but he is no less qualified than the previous person in that post. I have no qualms with the cabinet. Sometimes when people who have previously had advantages & privileges and they are now considered equally with many others they can’t feel begrudged about it. Get over it. Ugh. Trump made sure his appointments harkened back to the days when white dudes were in charge of everything; yet another time here where I guess for people who have always had power equality looks like oppression. |

The most recent expert on fentanyl seizures and who she blames .. The Georgia Republican cited a litany of statistics to claim the Biden administration was to blame for fentanyl overdoses.... I hate to agree with anything she says but I agree we have a problem with drugs in this country. Contrary to what she says though the fact that border patrol is catching more is a good thing. Of course we don’t know what they miss but it’s not open borders. We know most come through legal crossing points by US citizens. Also I feel for anyone effected by this but blaming Biden because her kids got Covid stimulus checks? She lost two children to this that’s horrible. She admits they thought they were getting Percocets. Unless they started due to an injury they were using to get high then got hooked. Fentanyl deaths started really climbing in what 2019 or 2020 so it’s not just because of Biden and I don’t think it would be fair to blame Trump for this either. I don’t know the answer but we need to do something. The numbers are climbing every year and like she said it can affect anyone. The only thing I will probably ever agree with her on. |

one article I read today is that china has a severe drop in births.. like, worse than in most famines, natural disasters, and war. new hashtag is "last generation".. so we aren't the only ones suffering from large problems in how our society supports people.
