Life is great at home with Silver. Thank you so much for asking. She was a little shell-shocked at first, but she's feeling right at home again. She must have dealt with some storms though, because she hates the rain. She used to not mind it. Well, as long as it was just misty. Now if it looks like rain or eve the grass is dewy she wants no part of it. She spends part of the day inside and part outside. We live in the country so she has 20 acres to roam but it's like she's not taking any chances. She doesn't venture past where she can see the door unless we are out there with her. I will be forever grateful to rodeomom! Without her being so amazing and going looking, I would never have recognized the sign that led me to the wonderful man who helped me get her back. Huge Thank you!! Thanks for thinking of us. Still amazed that Silver's story had a happy ending.

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

The talk of labels, specifically old thread label, reminded me of this thread. And it's exactly one year since Silver and I reunited. Perfect timing! Silver is doing great! She is still not taking any chances of getting lost or left outside. I'm thankful for that. I never want to go through that again. I am still so grateful to my hero, rodeomom. Without her taking time to go search, I would have never had a chance meeting with the man who made finding her possible. A big thank you to all of you for keeping my spirits up, too! Now how do I label this an old thread? LOL!

peasquaredYou can change the subject line by clicking in the original post to edit. You can then also at that time edit the subject. I would leave as much of the original subject but remove enough to say old thread. Glad Silver is staying home and you're all happy!!

I loved this thread. When Marietta appeared on the News here in the UK after a tornado strike, I told DH all about it, and hoped that Silver's rescuer was OK. Is he, do you know?

You are all so kind!! I loved this thread. When Marietta appeared on the News here in the UK after a tornado strike, I told DH all about it, and hoped that Silver's rescuer was OK. Is he, do you know? We have kept in touch this last year. I stopped by his business on my way home from Texas this year and met his daughter. She is everything he told me and more. Just a lovely gal! I have tried to reach him since the tornado without luck. While it makes me nervous, it's not out of the ordinary. He is a busy guy and returns calls months later. My husband came home later than me and stopped in. His business was running as usual, so I'm praying that's a good sign. How sweet of you to think of him!
