This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members.

I can't believe that it's almost time for school to start again. That means Fall is just around the corner. I need to start cutting out fall leaves to replace the summer flowers as the border on the church bulletin board. It feels like I just replaced the tulips with summer flowers and now it's time for colorful leaves. Linda, I am so happy your kids can all be together. I'm sorry they have had to weather that awful storm though, and grammadee 's family too. It looked terrible on the news. You will each have some stormy photos to scrap. Waving to all the Pokeys.

Happy August, Pokeys! Thanks for setting up the new thread, nylene . I hope that once the brace comes off you will be back to your usual posting form. Hope your back improves with the brace. Will you need to wear it all the time, or just when you are doing something that might stress it? Looking forward to seeing your pages. I have been putting some pages together, posting them in the Lazy Crazy thread. Hope to get a sample done for the August Donna challenge this week. Don't think I will be scrapping the storm that Linda 's and my family members shared. Dgs sent a video of it from his dad's appartment balcony. I have been receiving lots of other Washington photos, though. Most, I think, will be going into his own snap book. Weather is still clear here, and predicted to be quite a bit hotter than last week. Dh strung out the hoses to water the garden last night. Not sure how much he got done. I need to pick peas and raspberries again today. Tomorrow I need to make a couple of raspberry cheesecakes to take to a family reunion picnic on Thursday. Today I need to go to town to pick up groceries (10% Tuesday today) and the mail. Waving hello to all the Pokeys... gramma , kellyr21 , kitbop , shinyhappytina , scrappyrabbit , joyfulnana , justjac , and any others I may have missed.

Happy August - the summer has just flown by. DD comes back on Saturday and school starts for her the following Thursday. Bus schedules were released today - hers comes at 7am (for an 830 start) - that's going to make for early mornings as she is not a fast mover in the morning. Yawn! grammadee - I won't be scrapping that storm either -I did get tons of photos from the zoo, Natural History Museum, and Air& Space museum from them though. But right now I'm still scrapping my trip from last fall -almost done with day 13/16

Happy Tuesday and August! Waving hi to you all and wishes us all peace and rest this month. We had another nice time at our fav beach area on Saturday. I feel like it is our little undiscovered spot. I hope others keep driving by and not crowd our spot. Lol! My mojo has been recharging but I am still taking my online classes. Today at 5 is my sketch class and I am so happy that my Thursday night class will be returning this week. I have some scrapbooking I would like to do this week so we'll see if I can at least look at the pretty pp and supplies. nylene - Thanks for the new thread and I am so thrilled to see you feeling better. ❤ I am praying your recovery is quick so you can enjoy scrapbooking. Hang in there! I signed up for an art club and excited to watch some of the tutorials and maybe pick up a few new skills and have fun. grammadee - Waving hi to you, too. Sounds like your garden is thriving and that cheesecake sound so yummy. Glad your family is getting settled. linda - School already? Wow, this year is flying! How are your cats doing? Do you have any dogs, too? We saw some nice looking dogs over the weekend walking with their owners and living their best life. Lol!

How are your cats doing? Do you have any dogs, too? We saw some nice looking dogs over the weekend walking with their owners and living their best life. Lol! yes - school starts early in August here in Florida (she did get out just before Memorial Day though). Cats are doing well. Foster kitty is on hold - not sure if we'll end up fostering her or not at this point. No dogs, I'm not really a dog person. I had a dog as teen and loved him and I've met nice dogs but overall, they are too much work for me and having been bitten a couple of times, that's a deterrant as well.

Happy August everyone. I started the month with bang. Let's just say the air bags in my car worked well. I have a nice air bag abrasion across my neck, a small brain bruise, new brusing showing up everyday and a broken right hand. I won't be scrapping for awhile so how about doing "crop and chat"?

OMG gramma!! That's terrible! I'm glad it wasn't worse, although it's bad enough. ((((hugs))) Linda how awesome that the kids are all together having a blast. You've had a pretty quiet house this summer haven't you? Is DD a junior or senior this year? scrappyrabbit so glad to hear you are off bedrest and everything is going well! kitbop I have a hard time picking things to watch, but I think I've always gravitated to mystery and intrigue types of books, as they seem to have interesting plots that are easy to get caught up in while also accomplishing mundane/mindless tasks. kellyr21 I hope you get to keep your special spot too! How cool is that? nylene I'm glad you are healing and can't wait to see Cousin Camp pages! grammadee you are so busy! They say that keeps you young, but it makes me tired to read all you are busy doing lol. I hope DD and her family are getting settled alright. I actually came here to ask if anyone wanted to crop or just chat this weekend myself. I'm not sure how scrappy I would be but I've missed seeing everyone's faces and just chatting. We had a big storm which also gave us a little break in the heat, and since then I can feel summer coming to a close, and I feel better already. Like I'm coming up for air after this crazy summer. Probably a lot of that is my thyroid getting back in line too lol. I don't care, I'll take feeling better no matter the reason lol. School starts here Aug 16th here. Which is sooo early to me. And I just realized that's probably another reason it feels like summer is almost over. Rudy is going to be in THIRD grade. I can't believe how fast he's growing up. He's ready to go back to school, he is missing his friends. I'm feeling the mojo creeping back, and also an insane urge to shop LOL! I drove to Springfield to my nieces and we went shopping at SG. That was fun and a much needed break. Saturday evening or Sunday morning/afternoon works for me for crop/chatting! Happy August peas!

gramma - ouch! I'm glad it wasn't worse but yikes. Prayers for healing You've had a pretty quiet house this summer haven't you? Is DD a junior or senior this year? yes - DD has been gone much of the summer - a week in June, nearly 2 weeks in July, and now 2 weeks in July/Aug. She's had a blast! She'll be a junior. I actually came here to ask if anyone wanted to crop or just chat this weekend myself. I would love to but we'll be picking up DD from the train on Sat and Sun is back to school shopping so I won't be home much

gramma , I am so sorry about your accident. Welcome to the world of one-handedness for a month or so and I see it's your dominant hand also. I hope the brain bruise clears up quickly and that the other bruises are not too painful. Gentle hugs from me! I would love to crop and chat. Are you able to work or are you taking time off? Keep in touch. kellyr21 , so sweet that you and Ron have found a special spot that is not full of crowds. I hope you can go often. Hooray for all the classes you are taking. I hope you get to do some scrapping too. grammadee, your schedule makes me tired. I am glad you are sneaking in some scrapping too. joyfulnana , I look forward to cropping online again. After today I should be able to scrap with both hands. Glad the thyroid is getting back in line. Linda , so glad your DD has had a great summer. Have a safe trip to pick her up!

Ha ha! Don't feel tired for me, Ladies. Do you realize that the activities I list here are often the ONLY things I do in a day? I don't have a job to report to. And my attitude is that housekeeping is hardly ever mandatory. How is your recovery from the accident, gramma? Hoping you are starting to feel a bit better. Would love to join a crop/chat fest where you can tell us all about what happened. Glad your injuries are healing, nylene, and really looking forward to seeing your Cousin Camp pages. Good to hear that your mojo is slowly slipping back in, joyfulnana. It is hard to do anything in the heat, and I am sure that after a day on the computer you just want to veg. So cute that Rudy wants to go back to school to see his friends. Mikey is going into grade FIVE at a new school in a new town, so he is pretty apprehensive. His last teacher was a godsend. We hope this new one will recognize his strengths. He has to work SO hard to get results less than perfect. If he has a teacher that sees that effort and genuinely likes him, he will go to the moon for them. If he doesn't see that, his shell snaps into place. Linda, I hope your dd has a couple of weeks to just relax and rewind once she gets home. She has had a busy summer! I laughed when I saw the list of venues in Washington your kids had photographed. Mine shared pic's of domed ceilings and statues, space suits, and dinosaur bones, so thinking they have all hit the same venues. Yesterday they attended a major baseball game. So cool that you have a fav beach where you and dh can hang out and decompress, kellyr21. Thanks for sharing the photo. This summer I have been to the lake exactly once. Makes me think that when I next have my dgs that we should head back out there for a few hours. Heading to an impromptu family reunion this afternoon. But first I have to get my act together. Have a great Thursday, Pokeys.

If you have a broken hand, I think I'm really glad your airbags work. Are you in a cast? How long? I wanted to say more in response to pokeys this morning ( kellyr21, what a lovely peaceful spot!) but I'm late for work as it is so off I go!

It's so hard changing schools, no matter the age. Rudy got to meet his teacher and new classmates before the year ended and that helped so much with his being anxious about the new year. I wish all schools did that. I'm with you on the housework. Lots of days I look at my list and say "what HAS to be done today?" and leave the rest lol. I hope your impromptu reunion was a blast! Great job and congrats on finishing that big project Linda! I'll bet it's going to be nice to move on to something different. What a beautiful photo kellyr21! gramma I'm up for chatting and cropping, and I *think* my weekend is pretty open, I will make it work no matter what time. Even if I have an overnight guest lol. I can't keep track of the schedule across the street anymore it's been changing too much lol. I only know I'm missing the crops. I hope you are starting to heal. (((hugs))))

Good Friday morning, Pokeys. Hope you have a great day at work, kitbop and joyfulnana and anyone else on a payroll. I am in *WAIT* mode. Yesterday while at the family picnic, I left my vehicle for the dealer to finish up a recall issue they started on a couple of weeks ago. They said it would take two hours. Four hours later they called to say my vehicle would not be ready "until tomorrow". I was 70 miles from home, so I called back and they offered me a new Bronco to drive back to the farm. I am supposed to be able to pick up my own today, but I told them I am not leaving here until they call to tell me my SUV is ready. The up side is I will be able to visit with my cousins a bit more. The one from Switzerland asked if I could drop by so he could upload the reunion photos from my camera card to his laptop. And I didn't do yesterday any of the errands I usually do when in that town, including printing photos, so I can do that today once I am there. Can't really start anything, so I am just sitting here with my coffee. Have an idea for a couple of birthday cards I need to get into the mail next week, so might start on those. Dropped the next set of prompts into the Lazy Crazy Daze thread, so if any of you have time to play, maybe check them out. I'd love to see you share anything you create there, whether or not it has anything to do with the prompts.

Linda , congrats on finishing your album. You are such a prolific scrapper. I am in awe of the wonderful albums your family can share. Have fun tackling summer themes for a while. I'm sorry your DD won't have a week to rest and just enjoy you and DH before jumping back into school. She is a busy, busy girl. joyfulnana , I love the idea of meeting the teacher at the end of the year instead of 2 days before. I know that gives Alex anxiety all summer wondering if he will get the teacher he wants. I hope Rudy has a great year. I'm with you and Dee on housework...the dust can remain for another day! grammadee , best wished to Mikey as he starts a new school. I hope he has a teacher who will love him as much as his last one did. I'm sorry about your car issues. How did you enjoy the Bronco? I hope your trip to town goes well and you accomplish everything you need to do. kellyr21 , thank you for the photo!! I do love palm trees. I'm glad you and Ron can have a special place to relax and enjoy being together. kitbop , hope you have a nice day at work. I hope to see you online this weekend. gramma , I know you must be going nuts being one-handed. I did get to where I didn't spill food all over me and the table using the right hand. Brushing my teeth just didn't get easier. Hugs as you heal. I'm sure by now your bruises are very colorful. Hope to see you online. I had the splint removed and I just have "buddy straps" around the middle and ring finger. I can do very gentle exercises with my hand but I was told to quit when it hurts. It isn't totally healed but is in place. In 2 weeks I will have real therapy on I it, I think. I am able to use both hands to type today. I have to slow down and gently use the ring finger, but it so much faster than typing with one hand. My biggest problem with the one hand typing is that with all the indexing I have done, I have worn the letters off my keyboard. It doesn't bother me when I have both hands on the keyboard, but hunting and pecking makes me choose the wrong keys too often. I have lost a month of 2PEAS so haven't kept up with the new Challenges. I think I will just post my pages on this thread. They are very simple pages and I'm sure they wouldn't meet any challenges. They just helped me keep some sanity during July. I would love to chat online anytime on Sat. I wouldn't be available on Sun. until late afternoon or evening.

And the bonus of more cousin time sounds awesome! nylene - so glad you're on the mend - looking forward to seeing your pages. I haven't been sharing mine - oops gramma -you're in my thoughts and prayers -hope you're on the mend. Thank you all - I'm excited to be able to cross that one off my to-do list

The pages of Swayzee and Gracee were planned before the fall. I just needed to finish them. They others were done a day at a time, after I felt I could use the computer to do cut files and type my journaling.

nylene - your layouts are all so beautiful. Each one has wonderful cut elements that is your mastery - the fruit, the jenga title, the adorable bonnets and teacups! But what I love most of all is the heart and story in this grouping - the love, those lucky kids being together with a grandma like you - it just shines out of the pages!!!

So glad it's back. nylene What great layouts of your camp and adorable ggds. I just can't believe how fast they are growing up. So glad you all were able to have it. nylene your pages are beautiful and your titles and are awesome! I love the tea party! So glad you are feeling better and your hand is healing! gramma, what time were you thinking of cropping? How are you doing? I'm really hating the way things seem to be piling on the pokey's. It's just more awful thing after another. grammadee glad you got extra time with your cousins, but man I hate being WAIT mode - for anything! LOL. Today I've got some chores, going to pick up DS2 for a few hours and then hopefully cropping with the peas tonight. I'm ready to scrap, and man that feels good. It's been a long time. (((hugs))) to all the Pokey's! I hope it's a good weekend!
